Assetto Corsa: 1969 Piper GTR at Fonteny

- I haven't driven Fonteny in over a year because of a glitch caused by CSP's extended physics, which makes an invisible seam in the track collidable near the end of the lap. So before I became familiar with the Piper, I decided to drive around with extended physics turned off. It actually didn't go too badly, so I decided to upload the replay to show off what it looks like when I drive a car for the first time with default setup on a 26 km track that I haven't lapped in over a year. I even left the beginning in where I calibrate my pedals and wheel, and checked my mirrors.
For those wondering, the Piper GTR was a real car that made it to Le Mans in 1969, but crashed in qualifying, so it never raced.

This track is such a gem, I know it by heart, and going fast through countryside roads in group c or modern prototypes is so rewarding
The fucking proportions on this car, man. It makes sense to design a car this way to effectively create a self-propelled arrow, but sheesh 🤣
Take the knee-high concept used on the first Shadow Can-Am racers, drape closed bodywork over it, sting it with wasps until it has to go to the hospital, swing it by the tail from an excavator, and then give it the massive anime eyes from the 2017-spec Porsche 919, and you have a Piper GTR.

So that glitch at Fonteny is actually only there if you leave car extended physics turned on. Leave it off and you never will hit those 2 invisible blocks in the road, or if you learn where they are you just go around or avoid them. Never found any other track with that problem so it is strange ! That Piper is incredibly good fun to race though
