The audacity of Polene increasing their prices again when the quality and customer service has nosedived is wild. I know it seems like bashing Polene is a trend these days, but the problems are real. I bought a bag from their store and immediately had to take it back due to quality issues. They brought out 3 different bags for me to exchange it with and they each had problems too. Such a shame
I agree with you, Polene seems to be making very brave and bold business moves when their product seems to be declining as well as customer service. It does seem that there has been a trend lately with pointing out the downfalls of Polene but unfortunately I think that the brand had the power mitigate some of the negativity. A lot of people are speaking on their personal experiences that were not positive when shopping online and in store. I am so disappointed to hear that when you went to exchange your bag in store you were only offered more defective product. I am not completely against the brand but I do know that if I was to purchase a piece I would likely only be swayed by seeing a bag in store to know that the quality is to my liking. I have two Polene bags - Huit and Dix. They're both beautiful and amazing quality, I've had no issues! I love using both and reach out for them more than I do for my Chanel and Dior bags. The quality and packaging are at par with luxury brands. Plus, they have a modern, under-the-radar vibe which I prefer to heritage brands that are all too common now.

Although I love the designs, in the early stages it felt like every other influencers was getting one of these bags for free which made it that I didn't want to pay for one. 🤣 Then prices went up and quality went down and I completely lost interest. There's also so many fakes out there, I worry about resale value. 😳 They should have stayed an affordable, high quality influencer brand imho, but seems they got greedy.

Honestly I love my Polene bags. I’ve seen a few negative reports on customer service and quality issues, but I’ve never had an issue with any of the bags. I just purchased the large neuf when they had the free shipping a few weeks ago… the neuf is beautiful 😍!
I have purchased a few Polene bags (on my channel as well - shameless plug 😅) this year in anticipation for this price increase. I figured once the whole deal with LVMH took place that this was a very likely outcome unfortunately. I didn’t like it last year and I most certainly don’t think it’s warranted this year. So I’m glad that I got what I wanted from the brand and will likely be taking a long pause. I think some of these fashion houses are out of touch with the economy.

LVMH will bring these bags way up in prices. They’re not as popular as they were a few years ago so I think this is a mistake. So sad cause I really love my bags but I don’t think I’ll purchase as higher prices
I think a lot of consumers have similar feelings. I haven't purchased from the brand yet, but I know I am not willing to pay $100's of dollars over the current asking price. I'm glad that you were able to pick up some of their handbags before these price increases!

I agree with all the comments made. I tapped out as well and I think LVMH investing was kind of the cherry on top. They had the potential to be very great if they took their time and grew slowly. Perhaps they lowballed themselves from the beginning to attract customers and now they have realized they need to ask their customers for more money ( an embarrassing Michael Scott moment 😅). But if that is so, they were doomed from the beginning.

I definitely felt like this was a sales tactic, one that was actually going to work on me as well lol But by the time I got to the website the style and size of bag I wanted was all sold out 🤷🏽♀️

For instance, let’s say their Neuf full-size bag, which is now $610, jumps up to $800 USD (it’ll probably be more than that). Well, I just scored a Givenchy small/medium bag for around $860 (original price was over $2200). That’s with taxes and Rakuten cash-back discount included. Point is, I’d much rather get a Givenchy for around the same price as a Polène. I mean, it’s a no-brainer for me. 🤓
Yes that’s exactly it! For $800 USD I could buy a handbag from another brand that I love like Jacquemus, YSL, or Givenchy like you said. I’d more than likely look at several other brands to spend that kind of money before looking to Polene.

I live close to the Mexico border. I always go for kislux , their quality is great. Some of them are made with leather and really hard to tell the difference from real or not. Either way, itâs your choice. No judgement from me

I have heard and seen great things about dress up your purse and it seems they are more fair to their customers in terms of pricing. I’m just tired of living in a THIRD WORLD country, Canada. Nothings here! Nothing to choose from. Everything’s SUPER EXPENSIVE! Polene’s not even in Toronto. I HATE the fact that Polene doesn’t allow Canadians to pay in their currency, which causes us more! They need to actually decrease their GIGANTIC price increases. They’re not a known brand, and their QUALITY is LACKING. I wanted the Numero uno bag, but the price point is RIDICULOUS!
I agree that it is silly that we cannot pay in our Canadian currency especially because there is not even a store in Canada we have access to. We have to consider things such as the price conversion, shipping fees, and import duties.

They need to actually decrease their GIGANTIC price increases.
They’re not a known brand, and their QUALITY is LACKING.

I agree that it is silly that we cannot pay in our Canadian currency especially because there is not even a store in Canada we have access to. We have to consider things such as the price conversion, shipping fees, and import duties.

Honestly I love all my Polene bags. I’ve seen a few negative reports on customer service and quality issues, but I’ve never had an issue with any of the bags. I just purchased the large neuf when they had the free shipping a few weeks ago… the neuf is beautiful 😍!
