Red River lure only challenge

- The Red River of the North is said to have 90 species of fish in total from both Canada and the USA. Bait fishing is a great way to try and find these fish. But some fish prefer their food moving. Thus, to grow my skills as an angler, I am setting my self the challenge of only using lures in the Red River to see what I can catch, if any. Follow along to see the surprising catches that can be made out there.
Note: This video was filmed early in fall, and does not reflect current conditions. Water levels are kept lower winter.

Thank You For Watching! See you next time.
Damn u almost got master walleye !!
Yeah, but we might run into some more on the ice this year. Or so I hope.
Awwesome Video !! Im excited for ice fishing season woooh
Ditto!
Jaws galore! Nice 🎣 Good to see a Buffalo fish - must be low on cholesterol! 😊 Great job.
Thanks Joe. Let's hope we can figure out how to properly catch some so we can see more.
Those teeth look scary.. it would not be advisable to get caught between them!😅 Great video 🏞🎣💙
Yes, thanks!
Never seen a buffalo carp before, thanks for showing it to us. From the fish's perspective he definitely got caught: had to give you a good fight, suffered the humiliation of being pulled out of water by a ooman, gets no royalties from its performance, and has the scars to prove it! Definitely needs to receive 'honourable mention' on your life list!
Thanks Richard. Just want to be clear, they are suckerfish not carp. My rules are simple, but I got to stick with them. The nice thing is we can still figure out how to catch them some time in the future.
Good start with a big Walter
You ready for the ice season?
Slowly getting my gear, excited for the ice fishing. How about you?
Hey Vernon I don’t know if you remember me but we met at the red river when it was super high! it’s great seeing you post! Quick question when was this filmed
yeah sure thing bud. This was filmed on 20 sept. The fish schooled around the slack water, but a few days later the water dropped by a meter and they where gone. You can always follow me on Fishbrain if you want to know my catches and baits as a more reliable time frame.
@ ok thank you and its fine if you don’t remember me you probably have met lots of people who follow you
I am running I’m a little bit late. But I wanted to tell you I hope you guys had a wonderful Thanksgiving.😊
Thanks Ralph, and to you too. Just note that Canadian Thanksgiving is almost a month before the American one.
@ I guess that means you get to celebrate it twice.
dont use fish grips on a walleye thats poor fish handling but otherwise cool video
If you could provide any reading or study to show that fish grips harm fish, please do provide a link for that. Touching a fishes gills, can cause extreme pain to the fish. Thus, I do not like grabbing them by the gill plate. Any info or tips you can give would be appreciated to help educate and inform.
@FinallyFishing hey so with walleye and pike fish grippers aren't the greatest option olny because there jaws are very thin and there teeth can also get broken especially if they flop around or anything it can cause permanent spine damage and Jaw damage a better way would be to cradle the stomach and right below the head with two hands your videos are awsome man wasent trying to be a hater just though I'd give some advice
