I've been skateboarding for 22 years. I've seen a LOT of trick tip videos. Dan's trick tips are by far the best I've ever seen. This ain't your "approach the ledge with speed, ollie, turn, slide, and role away clean". Dan's trick tips are full of information. He covers every aspect of a trick. For instance in this video where Dan says a smith is like 5050ing a sticky rail. Or how your bails are suppose to look, I've never heard anyone mention how a bail is suppose to look! Anyway thank you Keen Ramps and thank you Dan!
This video really helped me learn how to smith, I’ve been getting into them for months, but I would always immediately dip and bail, you really helped me figure out where my weight should be and I landed my first one today finally
I've always told people that you should learn to get very consistent 5-0's on ledges as a smith is essentially the same thing with a more squatted stance.
i like the way you say oawn! like beastie boys mca "mowin down mcs like im mowing the lawn" 'pass the mic by beastie boys' Thanks for the tips will be trying this one!
So glad you made this video! I've been trying to understand how FS smiths work. Also, you helped me fix the way I do kickflips in a past video of yours. THANK YOU
"It's not a bad idea to find like a good skatepark ledge and just wax the living crap out of it" thanks for the tip dan im going down to my local with my block of wax and make some friends lol. Jokes aside, ive been avoiding smith grinds for far too long good tips
Full commitment to leaning back helps me land these first try. Otherwise, I have to kinda play around with being too heavy on my front foot and shift my weight back little by little each attempt. It really IS very much like pushing a 5050 on a sticky ledge. Ollie just like a 5050 and tweaking a little at the last second to get into the smith position. I also feel like fs lipslides are good warm up trick for fs smiths, sometimes vice versa
"i wanna get a wider angle so you can see where my body is" -Dale proceeds to cut off your shoulders in EVERY shot Dude continues to impress me on and off the board
Don’t forget inverted king pins. Nothing sucks more than king pin snag lol I feel like nollie smith is how I learned it. Puts you in perfect smith position and takes less pop than reg smith
i can stand on a ledge/box and lean in a smith position. but i cant seem to lock in and slide correctly. i either lean in too forward and stick or lean too back and somesrt of wird 5-0 with an angle outwards from the ledge. any tips? is this like a leapslide going into the trick? how the fuck do you land this??? tahnks in advance to anyone answering! will return the favor on other tricks if needed!!
dale dont zoom in when he is trying to show his body weight. This is a Tutorial so its better to see the entire body and how he is moving his shoulders and stuff rather than just the foot movement. For a video part i love you filming, but for a Tutorial i like to see the howl thing

New hat yayy the old one became sweaty Danny xD
I loved the slow mo and fast mo demonstrations
Sometimes its just nice to see it in regular “mo” too. Then obviously we can look to Mike Mo for the perfect version!

Love when you guys upload
Can you do a trick tip on bs feebles
And frontside feebles on ledges, please!
@@foreroa frontside feeble is pretty easy to learn, its like a frontside 50-50 just tweak your front truck more towards the ledge/rail
Excellent account of what to do and what not to do. Thank you sir!

dan looks cute with that new hat 😻
I never really thought of leaning back like that... I guess it's a similar concept (but the other way round) to a BS Krook
Just the type of tutorial I'm always looking for🔥🔥
this is awesome! please make one on how you pop out of boardslides on ledges. please please
Thanks can you do back blunt?
Is it bad when during the grind on the side of the board the wood splitters away because that always happens to me?
Can you guys build in an Inground half pipe or obstacle
Super late but do you think you need front lip slides first or does it matter?
This helped man ty. I like the hat and where did you get the Ack ack grip tape? I love that movie.

Buy an obstacle, rail, or an officialy approved Dan Corrigan keen ramps wind breaker.
I've been trying smith's for years and never realized that I was putting my weight down wrong til he said if ur falling forward its not it.
Don’t forget inverted king pins. Nothing sucks more than king pin snag lol I feel like nollie smith is how I learned it. Puts you in perfect smith position and takes less pop than reg smith
Finally!!💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
dan is the coach of skating.
I REALLY need to learn these
Thanks for the tips that's like spot-on and you explained it like really really good. 🛹
Havent even watched yet,liked🙏🏿
Cheers Dan, top tips Bruv!
How do you still have your hair in this one Daniel corriganial?
He is such a nice dude! However, it would be nice to see the arms and shoulders too.
I love how awkward it looks when he is demonstrating what "not to do"...gives more context to the proper technique
Bro your hat is on Fire
how do you pop out of a boardslide mid ledge?
off the nose like half a switch fs 180
@@lowek7773 Thanks! I figured it out last week. It's all in the shoulders.
I keep getting into losi when I try to smith
Once you learn to lock in, funnest go to grind
Who said I cant frontside smith? Dont take this Seriously I just like his channel
I just do I 5 0 but right before I put my weight on the board I tilt my board to the side
Keen ramp instillations with Dan and Zach dowdy coming soon!!
fast looking hats 🔥🔥🔥
Great vid
do keen ramps sell polejams?
YES i can only land one after getting stuck on these every sesh
That is a nice ledge
My back foot always moves towards the bolts from the tail after ollieing, can't fix it.
train yourself to land on your heels
Dans only problem is he gives me too much good information and my brain explodes
That daledo video makes sense now
I subbed cus of dan

It's hard not to pop out of fs smiths, I even do it every time on ramps lol
Nice
thanks
Good vid bruh
dope hat
broooooooo thank you
Thanks!
Everytime I really try to do this trick I slip out and fall on my tailbone. I rather fall on a rail than take that bail
i can bs smith but i cant fs smith yet
I only know fast mo! 😁 ❤❤❤
imagine having a girlfriend who can smith grind
fast mo😂😂
I'm more of a visual learner so guess this ain't the one for me.
wym he shows him doing the trick like multiple times?

Jeans with elastic waist??? Dan sucks at tips, he’s too cocky..... everything’s “easy” and natural. We can’t all be 4 ft tall,
Wow cool cap Dan, not
What is this, 2003?
I heard he's gay. That's why he skate's so weird.
