- We booked a Grand Canyon bus tour from Las Vegas. We were picked up at the Bellagio Underground Tour Lobby and the drive to the Grand Canyon took about 5 hours.

My wife and I took that same tour on July 2023. We took the bus on the Mirage Hotel at about 6:00am and returned at 10:00pm. It's about a 16 hour journey. The bus was a Volvo and it was a nice ride, except that the lavatory was out of service but there was a charging plug on every seat. At least they stopped 3 times for brief breaks. We only had 2 hours to see the South Rim. We were dead tired when returning to Vegas. The trip is not bad. I paid around $200 for my wife and I, but if I go back, I'd rather take the helicopter trip.

@@SmallThingsSimpleJoys Wow, I didn't realize it would be a full day tour. I thought we would drive ourselves, but looks like South rim is the furthest of all 4.5 hr from Vegas. Might have to skip it this time.
@@Mia-ht8oi yeah the travel time was brutal and yes, this tour will take the whole day. We left at 6am and got back to Vegas almost 11pm

Really appreciate the video! I've taken the West Rim tour and wanted to try the South Rim tour. I had knee replacement surgery a year ago and I'm gaining a lot of strength in that knee back but not full strength. My question: Is there a lot of strenuous walking on the South Rim tour? Thanks
There are some steps but I personally wouldn't call it strenuous, there is a part of bright angel lodge where the steps are a bit steep going down to a viewpoint but the main paths are level and the views are gorgeous from any point.
This looks like the tour I'll be taking...how much time did you have at the Grand Canyon? It looks like the bus dropped off near Mather Point and picks up at Bright Angel Lodge. Thanks, safe and memorable travels
We were given about an hour to hour and a half for each location. First stop was Mather Point then back to the bus and we got dropped off at Bright Angel lodge. Have a very fun trip ☺️
Do they make a stop at the Hoover Dam? Or just the drive over?
Some do some don't. Our bus didn't. Just drove by on our way back to Vegas and slowed down so we can at least quickly take some pictures
Question: I’m going tomorrow through the same company… was the bus comfortable? And do they stop for bathroom breaks? Lol
Yes we found the bus comfortable with adjustable footrest. They make 3 stops for breaks and the bus has a bathroom so no need to worry there :)

Yes 😊 and they stopped 3x for snacks and bathrooms breaks
