Both reels look great!! I would probably choose the traditional spinning reel, as I’m still a novice and rough around the edges. But the bfs system sounds interesting. Probably should just buy both!!

The KK website description says it has a nylon body in one place and a graphite body in another. Which is it? The Amazon listing also lists it as nylon.

I'm more the traditional Zephyr Spinning Reel because my local lakes don't have that heavy grass mats, flooded timber where I'll be pitching to or punching grass. I do have docks I like to cast past and slow my retrieve and need more line to stay back off so I don't spook the fish. I'll be using it as my regular spinning setup casting jigs, Texas rigged worms, wacky rigs, chatterbaits & swimbaits to pick apart the docks to locate how the bass are holding to the cover. I could really use a new spinning reel AJ! Pick me.....!

Got my spinning reel yesterday. Spooled with SOS 2lbs. I was using jigs. It felt fine. When I tried on a rooster tail. With the lure going through the water reel was not smooth at all. (BFS)

I would love to add another Zypher BFS to the arsenal, because I am new to baitcasters. I blame Jimmy Ly posting videos of Roro mods, Making me want to upgrade the bearings to go even lighter on baits. But I want a stock reel to try frogging w/ some braid so now I need a second reel. And a speed demon pro rod as the UL off AliEXpress won’t have action I will need. (Shaking my fist) DAMNIT JIMMY!!!

The zephyr baitcaster is amazing. The bfs spinning zephyr is kind of pointless and the price point they set it at makes it even more pointless. There a TON of bfs reels on Aliexpress that are much better and lower cost, just look at Tsurinoya's BFS reels. What you guys should've done is just included a BFS spool on the 1000 or made a 500 all black Zephyr.

There are two types of finesse fishing. Ultralight Spin Fishing and BFS. BFS is finesse baitcasters not spinning reels. Just call it an ultralight spinning reel or a finesse reel. This calling a spinning reel a baitcaster, it's not what it is.
Let’s be realistic you release a bfs casting reel but no rod to use with it thus limiting your sales of it. Then you release a spinning reel with a shallow spool only to not sell it anywhere or the matching rod. Whoever is marketing needs to be fired as you need rods to use your reels lines and small baits are nice but without rods there useless.

I would love the spinning BFS. Dropshoting is my go to technique on the St. Lawrence.

Yes. But its shallow spool is meant for lightweight lines. You can use 30 lb., but will not be able to put as much line on
