depends on how you would rather play. super high mobility dps machine but very vulnerable if you miss wyvern counter/dodge timings (LBG) or low mobility dps machine with lots of counters but can be a pain to learn proper spacing and positioning to maximize dps (HBG). both are good but they have their places.
Most of my failed missions tend to be from me not being able to get the right positioning, or some attack that has a second hit after my counter. It is really frustrating being locked into that animation after the counter is successful when I just want to reposition. I'm not expecting to tank much with either weapon, so maybe LBG will work out better for me. Mostly ive been thinking about switching to something else since I'm on my 15th failure against the garangolm in the follower quest. Would you say the LBG is equal to the Heavy Bowgun in terms of DPS?
@@RelaxingApple i will say lbg in most cases will out dps hbg due to its superior mobility. If you are having trouble running hbg why not try an auto gaurd set.
God Tier Charms, Fix Spawn, No Small Monsters, Minimun Legal HP Posible. Some of them even auto aim and/or turbo controllers... Its part of the job. Speedrunning its about anything but RNG

New player here, I've been using the heavy bow gun, and now I'm wondering if light bowgun is the way to go. Would you say light is better than heavy?

I tried googling auto guard, and I could only find it being referenced in other monster hunter games. Where can I find it?
@@RelaxingApple equip the gun shield on your hbg in the bow guns mods. It will auto guard as long as its unsheathed and not firing a round.

I prefer its secondary ammo over los so walk n shoot sticky 1 and also it has para but at the cost of a slot over los.

It’s literally been like this for every game prior. As long as the charm has legal values who ACTUALLY cares.
Most speedrunner mod their talisman even monster materials they can mod
Speed runners will always run the best legal charm; modded in of course.
