- My Dad took this film in 1963. My brother and I playing in the streets of So. Philly. My sister joins the game of half-ball and my little cousins are taken to the park to see the sailboats. My Dad, Mom & Aunt are also seen.
My mother raised me here like her parents raised her. 825 Porter St, 1015 Mercy St, 2413 Sheridan St. I played halfies on these same corners a generation later. Thanks for this video!

WOW stick ball, we played halfie's too with a pimple ball here in north philly, now north and south philly both are filled with millennials who know nothing about the history of the neighborhoods where they are now living in 🤦♂️when I was a kid I used to go to the Arena to watch wrestling and my favorite wrestler was the GREAT BRUNO SAMMARTINO 🤼♂️

Well 50+ years ago, boys played with toy guns. You could not tell the toys from the real thing either.
