    Bought my Crockpot Rice cooker a few months ago and couldn’t be happier. I’m no genius in the kitchen but this thing definitely is! When I manage to follow the instructions to the letter I get fluffy separate grains no problem. And it cooks brown rice so nicely. Then I threw in some chopped veggies and olive oil using the “sear” function. lovely stir fried veg was the result! I’ve even cooked pasta in it just by keeping an eye on the time.
    Everyone should have a rice cooker!

    After cooking can we let rice be in same cooker in keep warm mode, if we are using rice cooker for a restaurant and for how much time ?

    • @Webstaurantstore
      @Webstaurantstore  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most rice cookers do go into warming mode after cooking and most of the times you can leave the rice in there for your evening service.

    I have sencor rice cooker i don't know whats wrong it stays in cooking mode for 30 minutes this is what its manual also say then goes to keep warm but the rice i use cook much earlier than that i have to manually turn it off otherwise rice sticks to the bottom badly help needed should i get some other brand

    • @Webstaurantstore
      @Webstaurantstore  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry, but I really can't speak to that brand, because we don't carry it. In addition to a problem with your cooker, it could have to do with the type of rice and your water vs rice ratio.

    Are there any removable inner pot rice cookers out there with NO AUTO KEEP WARM function. My rice cooker now is very old and has a switch that disables the keep warm mode and I love it. But the its going to die very soon so I need a new one. I dont want it to switch to keep warm and I dont want to turn the cooker off everytime it goes into keep warm. Please let me know! Thanks:)

    • @Webstaurantstore

      Thanks for your question! Cold water works just fine. You're just washing off the starch, the cooking will happen in the rice cooker.

    • @Webstaurantstore

    • @Webstaurantstore
      @Webstaurantstore  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +genie121 There may be recipes for a slow cooker if you Google it. A rice cooker is a machine specifically designed for the task and it uses a humidity sensor to switch from cooking to holding. It's going to be the best unit for the job.

    So what's the point of a Rice Cooker?? Why not just use a pan??

    • @Webstaurantstore
      @Webstaurantstore  9 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      DarthHater100 Because, in certain restaurant settings or in heavy home use, it is much more efficient and easy to use a rice cooker. It is also a bit more foolproof than cooking in a pan.

    • @ThisAndThat765
      @ThisAndThat765 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      DarthHater100 Well, just bought mine, and first of it's more healthy. It keeps the vitamins and you don't get all the fat from when you cook on a pan. And you can make all kinds of things at once in it. I would really recommend it.

    • @ThisAndThat765
      @ThisAndThat765 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    • @Webstaurantstore
      @Webstaurantstore  8 ปีที่แล้ว +57

      I've not tried it, but my guess is yes. You may run into smell issues as the steam permeates the shoe, especially if it is older and well-loved. You would most definitely void the warranty on the rice cooker. What you decide to do with the cooked shoe is your business. -Steve
