I modded my Gameboy micro to run purely from the energy of nearby passing celestial bodies. One cool side effect is that it now floats in place wherever you release it, entirely removing the need to worry about fall damage.
I love the passion Elliot has when he is describing how there is a 3d printed bit if plastic on the metal d pad to replicate the authentic feel. That's why I watch. X
While I don't watch MrWhoseTheBoss videos, he seems to be a genuinely good person. Well done Elliot, I've been following you since the early days and it's so great to see you reaching this level!
@@4sxr I respect your opinion, because the psp was much more powerful than the GBA, but i dont think the only thing thats matter is power, but i also think the psp in eaaasy in a top 3 of the best handheld consoles of all times
@@Lox13S to be fair, i might have rose tinted glasses because i mainly grew up with playstation products and of course, generation matters. And it might be the opposite for you because you mightve grown up in the gb era. Theres no definitive answer and it’s all preference.
It doesn’t matter what is current, there will never not be a time where the Gameboy system doesn’t bring joy to the user. In a world of currents and must haves, having a system I’ve had since I was about 9 or 10 with gradual improvements made as time has passed just brings me a huge satisfaction
I started rewatching some of these videos lately and they are almost better on second watch as you get way more of your humor. sometimes I'm really watching the mods and repairs and miss out. well done!
Wow. I'm amazed how far you come! Elliot, you went from amazing plastic shells for mr. Beast to even more brilliant metal gameboys that have IPS screens, usb-c and authentic feel, gosh, i hope that you have a great future.
I just want to point out when the solder looks like a bubble like it does at 5:16, there's a high likelihood of it not having a good bond with the pad below. Besides that, what an awesome build!
Every time I watch one of your videos, I'm amazed. You're so good at restoring things and making custom things, and your channel is so underrated. Thank you for keeping some really cool tech alive!
This is crazy because he had just done a vid on the specs of the Nintendo console a few weeks ago this is sick ,great collab if ya wanna call it that 😂 ,💯👌
Elliot, Top Notch work mate, I have learned soo much from you over the last few years. I will be doing a few DMG and GBA projects (maybe even an alloy Macro with an original DS) thanks to you and Tito from Macho Nacho, and all the mod creators you both use. But now I want one of those alloy shells in the Minish Cap theme. Unless you two have done one already and I somehow missed it, I would love to see you and Tito do a collab.
What originally drew me into this video was that sexy blue shell, then it just kept improving all the way to the irony of Rick Rolling Arun. Simply fantastic. Also, when you name dropped Boxy Pixel, I instantly knew the type of quality to expect from me having commissioned a set of metal Joycons and they feel amazing (but I'm deathly afraid of those getting stick drift)
So proud to be a long time subscriber of these 2 legends I subscribe to RetroFuture when he was at 30k subs I subscribe to MrWhosTheBoss when he was at 2 Mil
This Video has been like 1000 times better then the crappy one with the Beast dude. Really, it's great to see him taking the time with you, playing stuff and "going down the memory lane". It's an awesome kind of appreciation. Much more human and enjoyable.
Agreed - I really enjoyed this one, and the Mr Beast videos were like watching a rich kid opening Christmas presents. But at least those videos gave the channel a boost and directly led to this crossover happening.

when he showed the pokemon emerald cartridge and said someone made this for me i immediatly smiled cause i knew what was gonna happen next
Two legends come together. How amazing is that.

I disagree, I much prefer either the psp or psvita.
