i actually will play orc probably, I just love that stun resistance especially when its rogue vs rogue, I got my ass whooped in a private server by a orc I just couldnt stun him :(
Will of the Forsaken is the only racial active ability in wow that never starts on your toolbar at all even to modern parts of the game due to cannibalize.
Best advice for picking race: Make sure you like the model and the animations. You will be staring at these for many many hours. If you pick a race for cool/good racials but absolutely hate the model/animation you will not have a good time and will almost certainly re-roll later on.

Chrono Trigger They are the best race in the game. The only Change to Classic that I could get behind would be beard options for female dwarfs because dwarfs and beards are great.
Pulled from WoWHead Classic: Druid - Tauren/Night Elf are the only option. Hunter - Trolls in PvE due to Berserking and Bow Specialization. Orcs are preferred in PvP due to Hardiness. Night Elves are generally preferred for their higher base agility. Mage - Troll in PvE due to the very strong Berserking DPS cooldown. Undead in PvP due to Will of the Forsaken. Human and Gnome are both strong. (Personally think Gnome is best) Paladin - Human is preferable, especially for Protection and Retribution. Priest - Troll in PvE due to the powerful Berserking cooldown which increases cast speed. Undead in PvP due to Will of the Forsaken. Human is strong due to The Human Spirit, Dwarves are strong due to Fear Ward. (Personally think Dwarf is the way to go) Rogue - Orcs are the best race for Rogues due to the DPS cooldown Blood Fury, followed by Trolls which also have the strong DPS racial Berserking and situational PvE racial Beast Slaying. Undead in PvP due to Will of the Forsaken. Human is best due to Sword Specialization and Mace Specialization. Shaman - Trolls are preferable for healers and ranged DPS as Berserking increases cast and attack speed. for Melee, Orcs are preferable for the Blood Fury cooldown. Warlock - Both Orc and Forsaken have strong PvP racials. The Orc racial Command also has use in solo and dungeon situations where you do not need to sacrifice your pet. Gnomes are strong due to Expansive Mind. Warriors - Each race shines in different situations. Orcs are great DPS warriors due to Blood Fury and Axe Specialization. Taurens have the powerful AoE stun via War Stomp, which is useful in dungeons. Trolls, due to the synergy of Berserking with Heroic Strike allowing efficient rage to threat conversion, are solid tanks in the end game. Undead, as usual, are very strong for PvP due to Will of the Forsaken. Humans are best due to the Sword Specialization and Mace Specialization racials. TL;DR Alliance has Humans for Paladin, Rogue, and Warrior; Night Elf for Druid and Hunter; Gnome for Mages and Warlocks; and Dwarf is Priest. Horde has Orc for Rogue, Warlock and Warrior; Troll for Hunter, Shaman, Mage, and Priest; Tauren for Druid; Undead as the PvP race for any class.
@ubigmad I guess you didn't read. I'll repeat it: "Pulled from WoWHead Classic." So it's from WoWHead (not me). But let me defend their reasoning... the 5 bonus skill to all swords and maces means your hit chance is that of a level 61. There is no other race for Alliance that increases damage like Human. Also, extra stealth detection is amazing for PvP. Extra reputation for those rep grinds is great. The only one that doesn't fit is Spirit bonus.
tauren war stomp allows tauren hunters to interrupt mages that try to get into the no-attack zone for hunters. stomp is 8yrds and ranged attacks is 8-35 (41 with talents) and melee is 0-5yrds.
As an alliance rogue... I'll just say this. I've lost numerous battles to ORCS simply because of their stun resist racial. It's unbelievable how good it is. It's hands down THE BEST PVP racial. Of all the way too many characters I played, I remember my NE rogue best because of Vanilla time investment. I remember most fondly my Orc warrior, Dwarf priest, NE Hunter and gnome mage. Whether it was these combos that made them hard to gank, or the literal months of in-game time spent as a rogue is anyone's guess. The priest even made some horde friends due to the MC/renew combo. I assume that was possible due to spell batching, because it vanished on me on WOTLK or so.
I always ran into problems deciding on the faction. I am only playing vanilla on private servers and appreciate the fact that I can make a new account for each faction. I simply like both. Alliance for NE shadowmeld huntings (lol just that good ol surprise fun). And Orc females, cuz...orc females lolol TLDR; too many fun choices turned me into an alto-holic. I like it tho :) good variety.
Human - Warrior Blacksmith / Miner for my main. Dwarf - rogue Miner / Herbalist for an alt/mule and to sneak into BRD to smelt dark iron. Gnome - Warlock Tailer/Enchanter for my Auction House Bunny. Gnome- Mage Alchemist - Herbalist for a money alt to every few days crank out an arcanite bar. Yeah, I know that's a bunch of characters. But I'll get to them eventually. Probably when I wanna take a break from the warrior.
I still remember when there were some doors female tauren just couldn't fit through. There are still some places tauren can get stuck, though that's more for stairs leading up through ceilings and so on.
lol I love your quick opinions and anecdotes: don't like the raptor mount--too much tail swinging. Also thanks again for the videos! I think I'm going Troll Hunter. Maybe Orc.
As someone on a hardcore server, it's interesting to see how much more popular troll is this time around, and how unpopular UD is. Health regeneration saving lives, I guess. Troll warriors also start with a throwing weapon, which is really solid early on.
tauren hunter, stomp, fake suicide, lay trap --> u can use traps in meele and they are realy powerful, freeze the enemey and get range to finish him off savely or use an explosive trap for that extra amount of dmg. also the extra stun is realy nice vs mages and warlocks
Undead master race! But I’ll also have orc, human, and nelf alts. Undecided on hunter race Hordeside. Orc for pet dmg/more stable visuals? Troll for bows/voodoo stylin? Cow for herb farming? Idk man.
@@moonkinx they're not fixing the hunter dead zone, so I don't think they'll fix this either. which is great, because being a tauren hunter makes the dead zone a little easier to deal with
I rolled Tauren Hunter when Classic started because the other zones were quite unplayable. I always had to dismount entering the UC elevator, but that was the only door really bothering me... until I won the ZG raptor. Suddenly I got stuck everywhere. I love my raptor, but I also bring a kodo if I'm gonna be in/out of indoors a lot. As for the Hunter part, not getting Berserking or Command is a dps loss already, but it also increased my minimum range for ranged attacks. This means pvp is very annoying and in Naxx I had to stand further from Thaddius, making my buff sometimes not reach the most forward melee.
I'm not sure if I'll be playing, but if I do, it will depend on my friends. If they go Alliance, I'll be a human paladin, if they go horde, I might go Tauren warrior and tank, or tauren shaman
Human Warrior. I like the animations and the looks. Although I would prefer fem Nightelf a little bit more, my inner min-maxer would hate the guts out of me skipping that swordskill, and I would dread my existence every time someone would closely beat me in dmg, with me knowing that human could have been the difference there.
Tauren has also bigger physical model (and had actually longer melee range in vanilla, idk if still have or what version) but they - as you mentioned - got stuck in almost all doors on mount. Going into Undercity as tauren was really hell... Still choose no.1 for me.
WIth the whole undead bone stuff... if you add SET overrideArchive "1"into your config.wtf file, you can make get rid of them all sticking out! Makes armour look much better on them
"Night elves were definitely the best alliance race for druids"... no kidding :'P Anyhow, these videos are good for people who are going to play classic and never experienced vanilla, and also to us who played in vanilla but have forgotten few things, or never played certain classes. Well done =)
I wanna roll a dwarf hunter, it's what I was in vanilla, but is it useful or I will regret a lot not picking a NE? (Also starting at teldrasil while all my friends will go to elwyn forest at lvl 6 takes me back). I need a 100+ intelect advise
I dont get the hardiness thing tho, ppl say its op but if the base ressist is 5% isnt it just an 25% increase on that? wouldt that just give you like a total of 6ish% to resist stun?
@@YenZin108 damn! well, i dont like orc animations, i want to play UD warrior just cause of looks, but everyone keeps mentioning orc so i dunno anymore
@@100Predator It's not really gamebreaking if you don't pick the optimal race/class combination. I don't like many of the night elf animations, so I usually don't roll them. Is that a good reason not to play Night Elves? Maybe not, but it's good enough reason for me personally. People are entitled to their little quirks like that and you're no different. If you wanna play an UD warrior, you go ahead and play that UD warrior.
Honestly, pick the race you can most relate with. The class part doesn't really matter as you can shape it any way you like. I never understood rolling a toon just because of racial x class combos. If I think it looks fugly then it looks fugly no matter the "pro" design it has. Like I'm gonna be looking at the damn thing for a loooong time, I'm not looking to run around with an eyesore. Lol
7:33 looks like we can disable Forsaken bones simply by changing a line in a config file (Chinese servers hide them by default): www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/cpkphp/you_can_disable_forsaken_bones_adding_set/ Looks like this will censor some other stuff too though, like blood/guts on the ground replaced with other objects.
My go to for classic is a nightelf holy priest as main and maybe gnome mage. I cant stand all the old models anymore except for those two an maybe troll. And since my favorites ( draenei ) are not there it has to be nightelf xD

I still remember when there were some doors female tauren just couldn't fit through. There are still some places tauren can get stuck, though that's more for stairs leading up through ceilings and so on.
God forbid there's some wall ornaments or some crap like hanging lanterns and shit. Omfg Baine of my existence. Hahaha
The struggle lol
Love your content, I can see your channel growing big!
Thanks!
warr-Orcs or Human,mage-gnome,trolls or undead(Independence from focus)
lol I love your quick opinions and anecdotes: don't like the raptor mount--too much tail swinging.
Also thanks again for the videos! I think I'm going Troll Hunter. Maybe Orc.
I'll be a gnome mage. I'll also make a night elf druid and a dwarf warrior or paladin (because I like dwarves).
Ill probably make a gnome mage alt
Same. Gnome mage. Mining and Engineering. Gonna be a fun time!
this video got me really excited to play classic ty
Cheers!
Like your content, looking forward to Warlock vid. Keep it up!
Cheers, got priest next then lock
As someone on a hardcore server, it's interesting to see how much more popular troll is this time around, and how unpopular UD is. Health regeneration saving lives, I guess. Troll warriors also start with a throwing weapon, which is really solid early on.
love the pokémon selection screen dude!
female undead rogue for the backflip animation!
you mean frontflip?
worgen has the backflip
tauren hunter, stomp, fake suicide, lay trap --> u can use traps in meele and they are realy powerful, freeze the enemey and get range to finish him off savely or use an explosive trap for that extra amount of dmg.
also the extra stun is realy nice vs mages and warlocks
you forgot to put in that taurens have a larger melee swing radius, so they can reach targets from further away.
They also have a larger cock.
Undead master race!
But I’ll also have orc, human, and nelf alts. Undecided on hunter race Hordeside. Orc for pet dmg/more stable visuals? Troll for bows/voodoo stylin? Cow for herb farming? Idk man.
Decisions!
Gnomes also get stuck swimming in areas other characters just walks through. Very important when running away from killers.
Tauren hit box gives extra range on melee attacks
Will that be fixed I'm curious ?
@@moonkinx they're not fixing the hunter dead zone, so I don't think they'll fix this either. which is great, because being a tauren hunter makes the dead zone a little easier to deal with
Also gives them longer interact range.
@@tompadfoot3065 What's wrong with the hunter dead zone in classic right now?
What's the music at 4:37?
"best alliance race for druids" hahahaha
Best Alliance race for picking Druid, I see what you did there XD
You would be surprised how many people didnt LOL
@@WillEmmo had a chuckle myself there. your profile pic even looks like an angry alliance druid made to wear the leave crown and spec heal haha
I'm not sure if I'll be playing, but if I do, it will depend on my friends. If they go Alliance, I'll be a human paladin, if they go horde, I might go Tauren warrior and tank, or tauren shaman
Good stuff
@@WillEmmo Well, I do like my race diversity, and it would be cool to really "Commit" to the faction identity.
For sure man
Human Warrior. I like the animations and the looks. Although I would prefer fem Nightelf a little bit more, my inner min-maxer would hate the guts out of me skipping that swordskill, and I would dread my existence every time someone would closely beat me in dmg, with me knowing that human could have been the difference there.
Know the feeling lol. I really like male human animations with 2 handers, just feels good
Tauren also got biggest shoulders, for maximum coolness factor!
(At least I think so, Orcs could be bigger)
Hmmm, they both pretty big, orc Tauren might be bigger but Orc ones always looked crazy oversized!
@@WillEmmo hunchbacked orcs
Tauren has also bigger physical model (and had actually longer melee range in vanilla, idk if still have or what version) but they - as you mentioned - got stuck in almost all doors on mount. Going into Undercity as tauren was really hell... Still choose no.1 for me.
WIth the whole undead bone stuff... if you add SET overrideArchive "1"into your config.wtf file, you can make get rid of them all sticking out! Makes armour look much better on them
Nice stuff - I thought only the Chinese client could hide that
Always Gnome warrior for me. Its fun to see such a small tank
For trolls raiding you have dark runes that can be used like a life tap. you use one and then you berserk.
Shadowmeld was absolute life saver when questing in STV :)
Ive always really liked Shadowmeld, its just so useful so often
@@WillEmmo yeah I will still roll NE because their asthetics and animations are best imho
Love the content man, top Stuff keep og up
I will cheers!
I hope that the Baldman will find youre channel on stream
Sir Mike Preach ?
The Bald Man will find him eventually. He always does.
We have a great choice of bald/balding streamers tbh. May Ziqo and Esfand bless them with their hair power
Thank you for the info there you convinced me to go undead mage 😊
undead priest for me :)
"Night elves were definitely the best alliance race for druids"... no kidding :'P
Anyhow, these videos are good for people who are going to play classic and never experienced vanilla, and also to us who played in vanilla but have forgotten few things, or never played certain classes. Well done =)
Great video! I'm so torn between Orc or Tauren warrior tank. For the Horde!
female orc warriors look dope
Love your channel my bro
Cheers!
Would do undead but they can’t be hunter, so I chose Troll.
I wanna roll a dwarf hunter, it's what I was in vanilla, but is it useful or I will regret a lot not picking a NE? (Also starting at teldrasil while all my friends will go to elwyn forest at lvl 6 takes me back). I need a 100+ intelect advise
Either is fine! You can get to Elwynn a lot easier as a Dwarf to meet your friends too
@@WillEmmo wow didn't expected you to answer, thx for the advise. Keep working like this, I love your content 👍
you overlooked a problem with the trolls no shoes
True!
still not sure what to pick =( all seems so good , so extremly hyped for classic launch
Good luck!
Is Hardiness for orc increasing stun resist chance to 30%? Isn't it something more like 5% + 25% from 5%? So more like 6.25%?
Its a flat increase so 30% for orcs
When will the priest video be out!?
Tuesday my dude!
WillE thanks man great videos, looking forward to the Priest one!
I dont get the hardiness thing tho, ppl say its op but if the base ressist is 5% isnt it just an 25% increase on that? wouldt that just give you like a total of 6ish% to resist stun?
It's OP because it's a flat 25% increase.
@@YenZin108 damn! well, i dont like orc animations, i want to play UD warrior just cause of looks, but everyone keeps mentioning orc so i dunno anymore
@@100Predator Play what you like! I think Orc females look and animate pretty good personally.
Lol
7:33 looks like we can disable Forsaken bones simply by changing a line in a config file (Chinese servers hide them by default):
www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/cpkphp/you_can_disable_forsaken_bones_adding_set/
Looks like this will censor some other stuff too though, like blood/guts on the ground replaced with other objects.
I like your videos man, keep it up!
Thanks!
My go to for classic is a nightelf holy priest as main and maybe gnome mage. I cant stand all the old models anymore except for those two an maybe troll. And since my favorites ( draenei ) are not there it has to be nightelf xD
can't believe ur sub count mang, been watching since like 180 subs.
Hey! It's been insane dude! I can't believe it myself, I want to do a community post but youtube are taking forever to give me access. Thanks for watching!
yeah I mean you're rolling out like super high quality stuff so definitely deserved.
@@killval849 Im probably going to invest in a better mic too. Sound quality aint the best
w/e u think man, but it's not horrendous or anything.
Night elf rogue, human mage and paladin.
Night elf rogue? What are you nuts? You're just asking to get overpowered by warriors with that extra 1% dodge.
Seriously, no Tauren melee range mentioning?
I liked as soon as I heard the Tauren grazing joke xD
No hate for the cows, i just gotta poke fun lol
Good to see that a small creater is growing, mainly because you make good content =)!
Doin ma best!
5:43 Weren't Night Elves the only race to be druid on Alliance in classic WoW?
Yeah, which I found odd because Horde had Troll and Bullies on their side. Haha
Yeah just having a lil joke
Great vid!
Thank you!
K its decided female troll shamy main for pve and Male orc warrior for pvp might roll a undead mage for old times sake as well maybe warlock dunno yet
I did not know they had diferent stats, Good to keep in mind when i make further alts.
It's just a small thing, thought I'd include as its interesting
Panda. Im playing druid so tauren or nelf depending on what the guild rolls. You should do a poll to see what people are rolling.
Good idea
Night elf.I love their areas and the music is so good. Also their mounts are the best.
100% agree
I like human warlocks and troll priests the most. Raptors are great looking mounts!
Yeah seems like im in the minority lol
I personally don't really like the Wolf mount run animation. Feels more like floating than running.
Felt like my char was breaking its back when it was at 60% run speed.
You forgot to mention the Taurens' hidden passive of increased melee range.
Jeffery Brown is this a joke lmfao
@@chasepineda2585 Nah, leeway truly is a thing, google it.
Tauren't bigger hitbox was balanced around them having a better range, that you can abuse while strafing.
You can slow an opponent and move weirdly around it without him being able to melee you, but you still being able to destroy him ...
Not the biggest racial, but it's dope if you know what you're doing
@@crysosisback7115 true shit ☝️
Is undead rogue way to go or is orc that much better?
Id say orc, one of the big reasons i really should have included is pvp trinkets. They didnt remove all CC effects like they do today, only certain ones. Rogue pvp trinket doesnt remove stuns, it does remove fear.
Orc gives you the best coverage vs CC, see below for more info.

5:59 the shortest horde race is ACTUALLY gob...
FUCK YEA CLASSIC BABY WOOOOWEEEEEEEE :D
