  • Grenada is all about the spices. Super friendly island--clean, welcoming, very green and the beaches are really picturesque. Grand Etang National Park is worth a short excursion and I'm really glad to know that you can lose weight and get smarter by eating dark chocolate in Grenada.

Yeah actually grenada is one of the most expensive places in the world to travel to, the hotels and villas have insane prices!! But you pay for safety there are virtually no crimes!! Grenada have hands down the best beaches in the entire Caribbean!! Calm waters long beaches clear waters!! One thing just be careful they will over charge tourists!! Insist for local prices, don't pay with US dollars use local currency!! They will not know you are a tourist until you start spending foreign currency or asking to much questions because there are a huge white population on the island, plus thousands of foreign medical students who the population views as locals!! But grenada ,Aruba, the caymans ,St.Barts, the grenadine Islands like Mustique are the best places in the Caribbean!!

15:10 "Jab Jab" derives from the French "Diable Diable" which literally means "Devil Devil". 15:52 The exclamation "Oui papa!" (Yes Father!). Another exclamation "Bon Jay!" which derives from the French "Bon Dieu!" (literally "Good God!"). Sometimes "oui" ("yes") is used at the end of phrases for emphasis. So for example if someone is emphasizing how big a house is they might say: "That house big oui!". We don't speak French Patois anymore. But our dialect is peppered with the use of individual French Patois words.

Was Grenada back in the days , a French creole or patois speaking country like Trinidad ? The guy said they use French words . In Trinidad ,they use alot of French expressions , because all during the 1800s , all up to the early 1900 , French creole was widely spoken .

Yupp I would even say the french influence on grenadian english is a little stronger than what I have heard from trini people

@@justjosh5725 The French influence is stronger on Grenada english ? So that mean people in Grenada at one time spoke patois or French creole ,just like in Trinidad ? There are some rural areas in Trinidad where up to recent times there were still people speaking fluent French creole ,or as they usually say ,patois .
If you listen or get to hear some of the earliest calypso songs from Trindad , many of them were sang in patois . It was French people that braught carnival to Trinidad more than a hundred years ago .
