Great video on retirement planning! It's amazing to learn about the top 10 cheapest Caribbean islands where one can retire comfortably on under $1,500 per month. Thanks for sharing such valuable insights!
If you are only looking in kingston then ultimately, it will be more expensive especially if you are looking in the more affluent areas. If you widen out a bit, you will find more affordable accommodation.
Yes very over priced. You get more in Africa Ghana for instant you can buy land and build. Check out migrant crossings in channel is amazing I’m thinking to retire there within the next 3 to 5 years and I’m Jamaican born living in New York upstate very expensive
My husband was born and raised in St. Kitts; he will not consider anywhere outside of the Caribbean as an option for retirement. Ironically, all these places are on my list of places to live; Panama also made my list.
I was just in Belize last week. It it not a Caribbean island but definitely Caribbean. Cost of living there seems reasonable. I would live there after visiting.
Im a electrician and trying to seek opportunities outside jamaica to but uncertain of the development in the electrical and renewable field demand ie the construction field
I’m from Bermuda (the best and most beautiful island anywhere) but would love to semi-retire to a Caribbean island. Thanks for this list. I’d love more information on Antigua & Barbuda, St Vincent, and St Lucia.
Puerto ricooo is #2 Noo wayyy! I would say out of all the island in the Caribbean I have visited PR is way way the most expensive country to live in or visit!
Learn Spanish and move to a spanish speaking Caribbean or south American country, Jamaica and other english speaking ones overpriced and gives you very little in return.
Amazing video by an amazing person, I enjoyed every second brother. Your so knowledgeable and well spoken, its an honor to watch your well put together video. ❤️
Sir you need to verify your information about Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, i can personally tell you those numbers are wrong. Puerto Rico is more expensive than some US cities and i’m from the Dominican Republic.
The Dutch dependencies, Aruba, Bonair and Curacao are fairly cheap. mostly as a result of the awful climate. In Aruba I found 80F and 85% RH at dawn and, as the sun rises, it gets worse. Yes rain is common and this is year round, there is no respite.
I went to quite a few carribean country and Dominica is cheaper. I went to Grenada recently all I bought was spices every thing was very expensive .I am just back from Dominica and I bought a lot of things that is way cheaper than my country.
Dominica is not that cheap. I lived in Portsmouth 2006-2008 and I paid $880 USD (That was one of the moderately priced apts) for a one bedroom, one bath and my grocery bill was closer to $400-$500/month. I am positive prices did not sharply decrease after approx. 16 yrs.
Encourageing foreigners to move to your country makes life much more expensive for the natives. Cost of living goes up, rentals and buying homes become more unatainable, restaurants and supermarkets become more expensive because they start to only cater to the foreign pockets, no no no not good.😑😑
I would pay with Jamaican dollars not us money there’s a huge difference get residency and pay local prices which are a lot cheaper. My friend who’s American retired to Jamaica and got her house built and all she uses is Jamaica money when she convert it’s more
Appreciate the info. To Be constructive, your intro was approx 3:30 to get to the meat of the information…. Seems you could have done it in less than a minute…. I stopped watching at minute 5… Not trying to be negative… just suggesting you be more concise with into, getting to the meat 🍖 and potatoes 🥔 quicker to hold your audience … 😊
Maybe the saying that you get what you pay for, then you didn't account for things like safety, crime, hurricane paths, etc. There are countries you mentioned that are not safe, drug and law problems, etc.
GIVE AMERICA ITS FLOWERS FOR MAKING IT EASY FOR YOU TO MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY WHEN YOU RETIRE TO A COUNTRY TO WHERE YOUR AMERICAN DOLLAR IS WORTH THE MOST MONEY GOD BLESS AMERICA😊
bless all the other countries the USA ripped off, destroyed their economies and overthrew their governments so that Americans ca have everything whilst others suffer.

I am planning to retire an go guyana it's very very economical. My friend lives there I spent three months with her would you believe she spent $100,000 an less per month ($500US)that include rent .food transportation plus misc.
I wonder if you ever went to the carebean at all. Trinidad is much cheaper than Grenada in every aspect apart from alcohol prices. The ABC islands are generally very expensive compared to the windward islands. Dominica is great when you like fruits and vegetables but Grenada offer basically nothing home grown.
What do you mean by Grenada doesn't offer anything home grown. Don't be so stupid. Grenada have many farmers and grow lots of fruits and vegetables and ground provisions I.e. yam and bananas and potatoes etc. Do your research before making inaccurate statements.
Very nice. I’m Jamaican living in the states too and I’m going to build a house in West Africa Ghana. A lot of Jamaicans and Americans have migrated there. Land is cheap very cheap. You can by a 2 bedroom house for under 50,000. Plus you pay them in there money currency and it works out cheaper.
no mention of crime or personal safety. do u need to own in a gated community? what about corruption? these r all important factors esp if u want to invest
Thanks to you, I intend to visit Grenada and Jamaica before Donald Trump takes office on the 20th of January 2025. Upon visiting, I will make a quick decision about which one I will relocate to for the next four years at a minimum! GRENADA.. Gruh-nah-dah! Really? That’s in Spain. Please pronounce it always as Gre-nay-dah please sir. And while it is probably the nicest place to retire to, healthcare is not that good and groceries are not cheap as they import almost everything !
I say, buy a piece of land, it doesn't have to be acreage. A fair size lot is enough to grow your own and go off grid on your choice of island.
Thank you for the info… I tell ya, I’m ready to get out of the states!!!
Working on it right now

When thinking about retirement, I always consider the quality of healthcare. Any info on that?
A decent 2 bedroom Apt in Kingston is running close to 1500US in a gated secure community. Jamaica is nice but more expensive.
If you are only looking in kingston then ultimately, it will be more expensive especially if you are looking in the more affluent areas. If you widen out a bit, you will find more affordable accommodation.
I lived in Montego Bay and it is very expensive. Grocery is very expensive and eating in restaurants is super expensive too.
@acarol13 it's the same in Kingston. Everything is extremely expensive

Real estate investment rather than renting that is what am interested in
13:30 rent for a single bedroom apartment should only cost about $400 usd tbh. And groceries for a single person is about $130-150 usd
