OMG MARA! The demon we all know and love!
... something isn't right about Mara...
Anyways this is my second attempt. My first attempt, he did Hades Blast twice at the beginning (both time it crits) killing everyone except for me, then he used his last two remaining flash Press Turns to use that ailment attack that killed me. I didn't even have a chance to get a turn lol!
This time.. I equipped a magatama to void that Ailment attack which really helped.
But damn Hades Blast still hurt after debuffing him.

Hey, how did you get to this room? I looked everywhere, but I never managed to get that fight with Mara. Are there any conditions I need to fulfill in order to fight him?
Taunt twice to raise Mara's power and lower defense, attack to make him Diarahan&Hades Blast in the next turn, use Attack Mirror or Tetrakarn, penis is flaccid.
Making it kill itself always seemed to be the most fun option.
when did i mention persona 3 was like nocturne? and i've beaten DDS @ DDS2 along with devil summoner 1 @ 2 and now focusing on strange journey (that's a lot like nocturne). but can you list any other games in the series cause im starting to run out XD
If you go to Shinjuku (or whatever city you first meet Chiaki in) Don't go below ground but instead go down the right street and hug the left side of it. You should be able to enter the room where Mara shows up then.
@FaithlessMr Turns out it's on a strip mall just a bit to the north of the expressway when you're inside Shibuya. You can see an open gap on your map. Walk into that gap until the prompt appears. Open the door and you'll be inside.
Do so only during Full Kagutsuchi and talk to one of the soul NPCs in the dance club in order to trigger this boss battle.

It's not an essential boss, so you can miss it. It's in that one place where you meet Chiaki at the club.
It's very easy to miss.

Most likely. I think if you pick "take your time," the summoning won't even happen in the game until you go through the motions again and pick "hurry it up."

Nocturne HAS been described as "Persona 3 on hard mode," but on the Portable Version there are harder difficulties.

Can anyone explain why this game is really satanic.
In the last ending you become Satan's general and lead an assault on God.
It's really best to take this whole game with a grain of salt. Even though the Megami Tensei series is pretty good about doing its research on other religions, mythologies and folklore, "god" and "lucifer" really aren't the same figures that they are in Judeo-Christian beliefs.
The Japanese mostly kinda handle Christian symbols and figures the same way we misuse Buddhist symbols here in the west, mainly because it seems foreign and mysterious, thus cool. Trinity Blood is a *fantastic* example of this in full effect, from what I've heard.

lucifer was just the name for a Tyrant at the time it was written and Satan is a rank of angel
The identity of the entity known as "Lucifer" or "Satan" is muddled in a lot of Judeo-Christian folklore and scripture. For instance, Satan is known as a villainous demon in most forms of Christianity, but in Judaism, he's more of a construct used by God to test people's faithfulness. He also exists in Islam as "Shaitan", a demonic djinn (genie) that has many similarities with the Christian version.
The identity of Satan and Lucifer either being the same or different is a little complicated. I don't really believe "Satan" is an angelic ranking though, since the word means "adversary", or "enemy" in Hebrew.
The canon of angelic rankings and hierarchies is something else entirely, and it's kind of a big subject, so I'm not really gonna talk about it too much. The point is that the Japanese like meaningless symbolism just as much as Americans do.
