Couple basic ones I would have mixed in, like using music boxes which has a stronger effect that works just like the toys (50% decrease to growth compared to the 25% decrease of a favoured toy.) But in general, quite effective. There are 2 corrections I would like to make though, one minor and 1 major. First, the minor one, highly agitated requires effective agitation to be at least 50% if I'm not mistaken, but I know it is above 20%, with the quantum beginning to warp to its "ghosts" at 20%. The other correction is a bit more major. Qubits (ghosts) are on an interaction layer that prevents them from entering a corral from the outside. Like how a slime can be shot in from the outside but can't go through the other wall despite being able to if shot at it from inside, their ability to pass through corral walls is removed when they pass through one (which to get out they would need to pass through one.)
@@purplecharmanderz2975 Thanks for the reply, Puplecharmanderz! I fully agree with the music boxes, I only realized about forgetting to put them on the list when it was to late. I found on the fanmade-wiki that the body swap does occur on 20% agitation. Producing the ghosts/qubits happens every 20 seconds at 0% agitation. Seems like the information I found about the body swapping into corrals was a bit outdated. Since version 0.6.0, they aren't able to enter other corrals on their own. But I still feel that the tips are relevant, you can still have a tar outbreak because of their body swap. If they drop a plort outside a corral filled with tangle slime largos, they will still be able to grab it with their vines and eat it. So I still think it's usefull to have the phosphor/quantum combo or hydro turrets set up. But you're indeed right, they can't enter other corrals on their own.
@@Epokk will note, most of the agitation page information I had personally dug up from the code, but glad to see people are actually using it. But yeah, beyond those few details, pretty useful tips.
I have a tip. If you have unlocked mochis manor, thats a great place to house slimes. because it is completely isolated on its own, and you won;t need to worry about them escaping because even if they do, they won't get very far. Tarr outbreaks are still possible so you still should have a hydro turret near.
You can also do it on viktor's or Odzin's ranch they are also isolated. But if i would keep them there i would forget to come there. I think i am gonna make the grotto for them.
I dedicated Victor's lab to quantums. 40% of the space is used for corrals, one for Hunter/Quantum largos and another for Mosaic/Quantum largos. Another 40% is Gardens growing Phase Lemons. Last 20% is a silo. Two drones provide round-the-clock service to them - one collects plorts and the other feeds them. I always need to go over since their operation is critical, in case they need to be recharged. They also only go to auto-feeders so excess food can be easily stored in case of a drone outage. There's hydro turrets surrounding the corrals, and a portable tap in case water is needed there and then. Since I have Hunters, there is also a bell near their corral.
I'm really scared to leave these active idiots alone on the ranch with others for long, because when I return they all are outside their coral with Quantum plorts everywhere... I throught of dedicate the grotto only for them alone. Thanks for the tips xD
Seeing as this was only a month ago I recently started playing again and what I did was turned the game on my ranch into one silo and the rest quantum trees and let them wander and if you add a drone it helps a lot
I remember on an old save I had quantum hunters that would psychic attack the nearby chicken coop. Never had any break out, I love quantum slimes so much they’re one of my favorites but they do give me a heart attack every time i set up an enclosure
Since I have phosophors in the cave area ima mix them with quantum plorts to make it easy as I also have farms on the cave so slimes can feed themselves
You could also allow the slimes to roam freely in one of the more closed off ranch expansions like the grotto or viktor's workshop. Of course if you aren't planning on casual mode you have to make sure there's only one kind of largo in there (and maybe put up some hydroturrets just in case) but if you use the plots for phase lemon trees and use drones to pick up the plorts it can be alot easier than worrying about keeping them contained in a corral
This dudes playstyle is literally so similar to mine, he uses honey slimes and mint mangos, has his rad, crystal and quantum slimes in the grotto, his last plort in the ancient ruins was the rad plort, theres probably more, this is so funny to me.
Thanks for the information. I assumed they randomly teleported if they were agitated or not. Which now I know, if I just have an auto feeder & a toy, they'll be fine.
Tbh I just let 50 or so phosphor quantum largos roam the grotto, use that area for silos and lemon/cuberry growth. The drones also have a free range setting making it far more easier than keeping them in a single plot
me: has 50 normal quantum slimes in one pen, but have 1 drone gathering faze lemons from 4 different farm plots to feed them all and 1 drop to collect all the plorts
I'm not keeping my quantum slimes in a corral. My quantum slimes (about 50 slimes) are at the beach part near the chicken field. I just planted 4 Phase Lemon trees there, so that they produce LOTS of plorts. I also put some Puddle Slimes under the waterfall there :) Note: My Slimes are not Largo's since they are so big. If your slimes are small they can reach the trees more easily if you have a lot of them.
I just shoved them into the grotto and mixed it with tangles. Also made maxed out gardens. It's a good way to make new bucks and a way to keep them all in one spot without mass breakouts
Yeah, that is a valid option, I read on reddit that a lot of people do this. I preffer to keep them in corrals just to keep them organized and I feel like you lose too many plots if you dedicate an entire section to one kind of largo. I want to see how the plort production in free-range weighs up to the normal corral system.
Have you considered letting them be free range, you could keep them along with flame and water slime, grow lemons and just have a bot collect plots every now and again.
