Hands down, Arjen Robben has always and will always be my favorite player of the game. The way he’s so unstoppably fast at dribbling and decisive with his shots is just magical, he’s just a weapon. Will always always be my favorite!
I didn't really watch too much of Robben. Just some champions league games here and there. I'm quite shocked at his creative numbers I didn't know he has so many assists in some of his great seasons.
That cutting in is everything, when you now what is coming on your way but still you’re not able to stop it. Just think of it, how terrifying it would be for the goalie.
I became a fan of him at the 2010 WC finals, which at extra time, He ran everything He could for scoring the so needed goal. Then I watched him at the UCL finals im 2013 and became a Bayern fan there. My childhood at football was marked by Him so much.
As much as I dislike Robben for his antics against Mexico in the 2014 World Cup, no era penal, I can definitely admire his quality. He is very underrated.
as a Mexican myself you just gotta let that shit go, although Mexico has talent we are still missing drive/hunger/chemistry to take us to the next level, unfortunately it seems like this upcoming WC we won’t even pass group stage
Not that it makes much difference but you guys in Mexico should know that a lot of Dutch people (especially Ajax fans) will be rooting for Mexico as well this upcoming WC :) and indeed no era penal..
F robben for what he did to Mexico but I’ve to admit he’s one of my favorite players to watch he’s amazing so lie, hope the Dutch team goes far in this years world cuz and Mexico
It was somewhat of a dive, but also a foolish challenge. What no Mexican will ever mention is that in the first half the Netherlands was denied an obvious penalty. Check out th-cam.com/video/oog6C51iBkk/w-d-xo.html from 6.15 minutes
It's a shame his return to Groningen didn't work out but good on him for trying. He was apparently really worrying that he was disappointing the fans by being injured so much and not dragging the team to european football or whatever. But the fans didn't really care and just liked him for coming back for a while.
I do remember the dynamic duo of Arjen Robben + Franck Ribéry, they even got the nickname of Robbery - because they would steal dreams and hope from the opponent. Good old times.
robben was when he played one of the most important playeers from bayern and every loss made him stronger they shuld have won the finale 2012 but they missed so many shots and robben missed the penalty :( but he was a key point this season
I love Aarjen as a red blooded child of Munich…thx for the joy! Always knowing what’s coming…mostly celebrating the effort. To be honest the love had to grow but now he‘s family - not bad for a Dutch😜
I love this guy he was so predictable in terms of cutting in on his left foot but unstoppable. You know what he will do but you can't prevent it that is what I call genius 🎊
@@ottomanpapyrus9365 He also did that sometimes. If the defender really went all in to defend his predictable left cut .... he would simply do a right cut first and had even more room te execute his final shot. Truth is they all knew what he was going to do but even the best defenders in the world (literally) never found a way to trully stop his signature move.
Arjen Robben is a Legend, I remember Sir Alex Ferguson telling Jupp Heynckes that Robben single handily won them the champions League in 2013 after Hynckes failed nominating him for Balon d'or...Even most Dutch players then, Van dervat, Van persie told him to leave Bayern because of the insult...Remember how he cried when saluting the fans ater scoring the goal against Dortmund in the finals
as a bayern fan since 1997 i have to say i had by far the most fun watching bayern when robben (and ribery) were at the club, absolutely magical times.
Robben had a pretty similar experience like bale. Both are an explosive winger but too bad injuries keep holding they back. Its a shame robben only got to hit his peak just for a short amount of time but everytime he got the chance, he totally demolished his opponents.
Life of Robben: 1. Born 2. Be Super Talented 3. Be the best Player 4. Make players alongside you even better 5. Get into Ballon D'Or Talking 6. Get Injured 7. Start Again
with such a back story still at his last 7 matches for FC Groningen ... if it was possible to go to a match on a ordinairy bike he would. He was after al the glamour still just a human. if you would meet him right now you would not even say he was a well known person, but your casual neigbour! If you want to have a chat with him when u see him walk by, he will almost for sure give u the chat u wanted ! As a 15 years old kid wandering around close to the former training fields of FC Groningen (during summer break or something) robben was there with some back then (now former) FC Groningen players just training. (one of them was also Virgil van Dijk) I asked if i could join them to kick some balls and train with them as i was a big football fan. Robben did not even needed to think he said get on the pitch! The story you told is great! but there is so much more what robben makes robben!
I only wish we could of done more with the great group of six Dutch players we had on the team. We had big Ruud vN, Robben, Sneijder, Rafa vdV, Huntelaar and Drenthe.
Please don't mention Drenthe in that row of players. That man has been so overhyped all his life. He played one good World Cup for youths, and 2 good matches for Feyenoord, that's about it.
One of the most underrated players in my opinion. I actually had the pleasure of meatiness him once, when playing against his son in a Munich based youth tournament. I really cool dude and a truly disrespected baller.
I’m binge watching your channel. Your videos are so entertaining and the commentary is as good as it can get. Stop talking about the players in the comments and praise this guy for his effort! Besides, I have a shortlist on a few players I’d like to see a video on. For example: Nedved, Mutu, Gaizka Mendieta, Raúl
Dude I love your videos and your approach to factual content without adding too many opinions, yet still giving it your own spin. Is there any chance we could get a Joel Matip video? He's got an interesting history, as well as playing well for a decent Schalke side, to becoming one of the best defenders in the Premier league via a free transfer. He also was written off as a flop and called a man made of glass by the English media, but I like to think he's proved them all wrong by now!
I genuinely believe United would have another Champions League if it wasn't for this unit. 2010. We're coasting. Bayern are doing nothing. (They reached the final that season in the end, but looked dead and buried.) Suddenly, last minute (I think), BOOM! Robben cuts in, lets loose, they're through. And I had to stand up in my living room and just clap.
I truly believe he wasn't injury prone he would have rivalled Messi & Ronaldo as the best player in the world. Apart from Madrid beating Bayern in the semis Robben always outshine the two Goats.
If i remember correctly , Robben once stated that he could definitely opt for more muscle in his physique so that the injuries would deplete and get to play more for Bayern and Netherlands but he also spoke that his most important feat was his speed. And such speed could only be achieved by the physique he had always had ever since day one in his professional run.If you're crazy about your craft you can also have some beautifully crazy ideas. His precision and technique in all of his calculated shots in my opinion are also the things that made coaches always trust him despite refusing to grow muscle. After all we could say Robben is Speed + Precision , so that's a very very good combo for the offensive.
Robbery made the modern FCBayern possible, they were the most important signings since UliHoeneß Every single Bayern fan has a debt to repay and we will by never forgetting what they did and telling our Grandchildren about the time Robben&Ribery transformed the club
Robben's left foot and the ball control is more than enough for 2 legs . He just uses the right one to stand a dream of a player and a certified legend .

I think Real Madrid could have made a beautiful deal selling all their Dutch players for Ribery, but they sold them all apart. Don't forget, Ronaldo came to Real Madrid to win the Champions League, Sneijder, Robben, name them left Real Madrid to win the Champions League and succeed before he did.
@@AAb-xy6et Yes, i was right, you have litearally gone mad. Keep going with your conspiracy theories. Bye.
@@AnaCamp001 What is the conspiracy theory here? This is the past girl, this is history, it's not like I make up things or predict highly unlikely things, this is really what I hoped would happen back then. The Dutch really became the runner up in the world championships of football, Wesley Sneijder really became the champions League winner and partly topscorer during the world cup, Arjan Robben won the CL too and Arjan and Wesley where playing against each other in the CL final in 2010, one with Inter and the other one with Bayern.
Hands down, Arjen Robben has always and will always be my favorite player of the game. The way he’s so unstoppably fast at dribbling and decisive with his shots is just magical, he’s just a weapon. Will always always be my favorite!
Predictable, but insanely Unstoppable! What a wonderful video!
The title lol
Robbens Aura / Present / Emotions on the Field is still untouched. People who hated him had biggest respect for him.
I was always very scared for any team that had to play against robben and ribery.
I didn't really watch too much of Robben. Just some champions league games here and there. I'm quite shocked at his creative numbers I didn't know he has so many assists in some of his great seasons.
OGs know that the title originally was David Villa
True lol
That cutting in is everything, when you now what is coming on your way but still you’re not able to stop it. Just think of it, how terrifying it would be for the goalie.
and for the full back who's tasked to mark him.
@@jhiediet appreciate the honesty with the no era penal comment, and Robben was a special player indeed, very much underrated
Robben with hair it’s just strange, even as a 17 year old his hair line was receding 🤣🤣
Yeah Robben, Wayne Rooney, Iniesta hair is not there thing the balder they are more vicious they are.
Zidane, Pep, and Robben they can sport bald head and still look good. Rooney? No
@@iganpparamarta8813 Rooney was 19 and balding and got hair plug at 23 and now balding….. again at 34 🤣🤣🤣
As a Dutchman we loved Robben it was just such a shame he was so injury prone.
I do remember the dynamic duo of Arjen Robben + Franck Ribéry, they even got the nickname of Robbery - because they would steal dreams and hope from the opponent. Good old times.
possibly his style of playing that involved lots of fast dribbling and speed factored to his injuries, best player of all time in right wing position
Better than Messi??? And Figo, Garrincha and Best?
@@loukanjima-bechard7180 messi plays deep in midfield too most of the time. most of robbens play is on the right.
@@mrsimsv still outscoring strikers for fun, seems like a walk in the park for the GOAT.
@@loukanjima-bechard7180 yes better than all of them at right wing except messi
@Double Z ye what a clown
Robben had his street on the field where no one was able to mark him🔥🔥called the Robben street
My fav player growing up as a chelsea fan I wish we never sold him to madrid
He was my favorite player for a long time and will probably be it for another long time
robben was when he played one of the most important playeers from bayern and every loss made him stronger they shuld have won the finale 2012 but they missed so many shots and robben missed the penalty :( but he was a key point this season
Why not run right, before he even cuts left?
@@ottomanpapyrus9365 He also did that sometimes. If the defender really went all in to defend his predictable left cut .... he would simply do a right cut first and had even more room te execute his final shot. There is a reason he was considered unstoppable.... And it was not because every defender who ever tried to stop him was an idiot. Truth is they all knew what he was going to do but even the best defenders in the world (literally) never found a way to trully stop his signature move.
One of my favourite players of all time, i think he was massively underrated,
Arjen Robben is a Legend, I remember Sir Alex Ferguson telling Jupp Heynckes that Robben single handily won them the champions League in 2013 after Hynckes failed nominating him for Balon d'or...Even most Dutch players then, Van dervat, Van persie told him to leave Bayern because of the insult...Remember how he cried when saluting the fans ater scoring the goal against Dortmund in the finals
This is the best video I’ve watched this month. Thanks bro you are king
Wow what a career 👏 😳 🙌 👌 😍 👍 nice one Robben 👍
as a bayern fan since 1997 i have to say i had by far the most fun watching bayern when robben (and ribery) were at the club, absolutely magical times.
he always looked 30 😅😂😂
Love that he did so much, you even skipped over the 5-1 group stage match against Spain. Absolute humiliation of the Spanish defence
My favorite footballer of all time!!!!🏃♂️⚽️⚽️⚽️🎖🎖🎖🥅🏐🏐🏐
Robben had a pretty similar experience like bale. Both are an explosive winger but too bad injuries keep holding they back. Its a shame robben only got to hit his peak just for a short amount of time but everytime he got the chance, he totally demolished his opponents.
The Man who made me a football fan. Great video!
robbens time at madrid doesnt get spoken about enough
Fr
*David Villa is kinda different, not gonna lie 😂😂*
Amazing video🔥 Good job dude…for real❤️
Life of Robben:
1. Born
2. Be Super Talented
3. Be the best Player
4. Make players alongside you even better
5. Get into Ballon D'Or Talking
6. Get Injured
7. Start Again
When you say start again, you mean be born again
with such a back story still at his last 7 matches for FC Groningen ... if it was possible to go to a match on a ordinairy bike he would.
As a United fan, although it was painful, that volley goal against us in the quarter final was pure filth
Great vid! Imagine he didnt have to deal with injuries..
Such a class player! He was one of the best, period!
Robben was a class player. I did not even notice he really suffered from injuries…in terms of injuries I always think of Bryan Robson.
One of my fav footballers ever. Absolute legend
I only wish we could of done more with the great group of six Dutch players we had on the team. We had big Ruud vN, Robben, Sneijder, Rafa vdV, Huntelaar and Drenthe.
Drenthe ? He is a DJ for the last 10 years :)
Please don't mention Drenthe in that row of players. That man has been so overhyped all his life. He played one good World Cup for youths, and 2 good matches for Feyenoord, that's about it.
Van Persie?
Dont forget Van Der Sar
Of all of those ruud sneijder and roben are the only ines that i can consider good
When he was in chelsea he was so scary for me as i was United fan lol
One of the most underrated players in my opinion. I actually had the pleasure of meatiness him once, when playing against his son in a Munich based youth tournament. I really cool dude and a truly disrespected baller.
Ruben and Ribery after that happened to be completely friends, you can see this from the videos and games that they had together 😶
What a great - and funny quote - to open this video with. I must get it on a TShirt!
Defenders know what he is gonna do. But one thing is knowing what he is gonna do, another being able to stop it.
not many things in life are certain. But Robben cutting inside, shooting with his left and scoring is.
Great video, thank you. How about a video on the great Klinsmann??
The Lee qoat sticks with me. It's the little things that where it shows. As a musician. I do music ear training every day because of that qoat.
Could be 2-3 times ballon d’or winner if he just wasn’t injured all the time
hi from the netherlands, big w for making this he is soo underratted
I’m binge watching your channel. Your videos are so entertaining and the commentary is as good as it can get. Stop talking about the players in the comments and praise this guy for his effort!
Besides, I have a shortlist on a few players I’d like to see a video on. For example: Nedved, Mutu, Gaizka Mendieta, Raúl
I would only suggest if he could work on pronouncing the names correctly. Hearing for example Honaldo instead of Ronaldo it does my head lol
@@frenk9818 well, he’s portuguese. Theoretically, he pronounces Ronaldo correctly.
@@plebius1877 I could swear I’ve heard Ronaldo say his name differently and not how the narrator guy says it, but oh well 🤷♀️
Shout out to my South Africans watching this video. The 2010 World cup holidays were the best and I still think about them to this day! To this day!👇😭
I will never forget what robben did for my country especially in the 2014 WC simply one of the best left footed players ever….
I felt so sand when he came to bayern, we played 2010 CL final, also 2012 CL final, too. 2013 was very best of him
Dude I love your videos and your approach to factual content without adding too many opinions, yet still giving it your own spin.
Robben POV:
option 1: Cut inside and curl the ball in
option 2: Cut outside and go for a cross
This guy introduced me to the finesse shot
I genuinely believe United would have another Champions League if it wasn't for this unit.
2010. We're coasting. Bayern are doing nothing. (They reached the final that season in the end, but looked dead and buried.)
Suddenly, last minute (I think), BOOM!
The only regret was when he missed the open goal in the world cup finals. But no lie he was elegant and graceful..
It was partially saved by Cassillas otherwise it could have went in
title got messed up + first + love the content
Robben is a legend
Robbery made the modern FCBayern possible, they were the most important signings since UliHoeneß
Every single Bayern fan has a debt to repay and we will by never forgetting what they did and telling our Grandchildren about the time Robben&Ribery transformed the club
Robben's left foot and the ball control is more than enough for 2 legs . He just uses the right one to stand a dream of a player and a certified legend .
And his famous dive was amazing .
Nice video bro
One of the greatest of all time ♥️
