Also it was his Norwegian ppl that wanted to see him on tv, the least he cud do is do what every other player did and switch the boards.

Also really funny, he rated Nakamura as the most annoying to play against (because he's resilient and hard to beat)

There's so many people saying he just caused more trouble by making them move back, but I think that misses an important aspect of tournament play, and that is playing on higher (ie lower number) boards is a big deal....playing on board 1 is a big deal. His explanation to the arbiter was couched in practical terms that gave them a reason to acquiesce, but the actual affront to the players wasn't the fuss of moving at all, so I think this act of deference was actually a genuine a sign of respect.

Dude they get so less money from T.V brodcasters. You will be amazed to hear about demands of T.V brodcaster in different sports. In some sports you can not start the game unitl the brodcaster say so.
Let me give you an analogy - Imagine a broadcaster forking $100M to show Barcelona vs Real Madrid, only to realize some other teams taking to the pitch :P As they say, it is business my friend. But that being said - no doubt that it comes across as a lack of respect for the players and the organizers should have handled it better.

This is how mistakes should be handled. There has been many times of arbiters and tournament staff handling mistakes poorly. Also Magnus was really nice about it.
