This house is so nostalgic to me. When I started playing Sims 3 back in 2009 I'd always pick this house and I'd always make the same modifications in It, every single time.
I'm rn playing with that house as well (while in Sunset Valley). So basically, I had the Martinez couple (from the family bin) moved into Pre-fabulous as their starter house thus made Jennifer pregnant. As their baby grew bigger - and as the household budget kept on increasing - I then decided that they move to El Urban Sprawl, which be the house up until Pablo and Jennifer both died of old age and their child is now a refined young lady. Quite a few modifications I've done to that house, as follows: enlarging the existing carport (even adding two private slots on the left side + one indoor garage) into *4 cars possible,* adding the 2nd floor (consisting of kitchen, fitness room, master bedroom, master bathroom). Not much layout change is done for the 1st floor, except ofc changing the wallpapers and floor tiles for each room.
The fact that your 50 second kitchen is waaay better than EA’s full time work hours kitchen lol. Also those kind of challenges are so much fun to watch! 🥰
everytime you post a video of sunset valley reno it's like a christmas to me. literally saving them for evening to watch comfortably with a cup of tea. i LOVE sunset valley and seeing it's glowing up fills me with joy. thank you man

No I just wake up at 5am with crackhead energy and rage for EA 😅 thank you I'm glad I've made a side career out of being creative and a bitch.. its my dream haha
Instead of using Create-A-Style, you should use presets only. There are some objects that have really nice presets. You could also prep for the challenge by think what objects you're going to use, editing them with CASt and them saving that as presets.
Sometimes I can't beat a 10-hour build challenge. :D I really like those counters and use them often, particularly not in kitchens though. They look right at home in a public restroom or behind a bar. IIRC there's no cabinets that match them.
Processing??! I don't have time to PrOcESs!! Well if that ain't a mood 😂 I just realized that if I were a Sims game, I would be Sims 3. Super creative with tons of potential, but held up by game-stopping lag, excessive processing time, and glitches.😂
Gurl, you turned your El Urban sprawl to El Midwesto😅 I love the entrance and that table with the flower, I do that too, the living room, maybe you could have placed the couch a bit further from that 90s tv, looove the kitchen floor tiles, gonna try to find them, loooong hallway, I love everything long😅 you should see my hallway in my renovated Cosmopolitan monstrosity haha, looove the bathroom, looks amazing, modern and colours work great, the bedroom looks a bit liminal, gives me Backroom vibes, the other room with that green rug is actually nice! works great with the outdoor,! cant wait for the next one!
In my own renovation of Sunset Valley I turned this house into a back-facing starter apartment and also turned the condos into apartments like the suburbs apartment complexes
I love love love this series, Sunset Valley has been my happy place for many years, and I both cannot wait to see it all done up and also do not want this series to end 😅💕💕💕
Impressive that you did more in ten minutes than EA do when they work full time on it lol 😂 The kitchen and bathroom were hideous lol and now they are really nice (apart from the toilet and washbasin colour 😂
You get major credit for doing a 10 minute challenge - I could not cope with the stress! 😅. Great job coping with the awkwardness - why are EA layouts almost always so bizarre?

Oh my, what were they thinking when they made that floorplan? Is like a strange bungalow but in a straight line with a questionable roofing And yes, you are right, The Sims 4 is way easier to build and buy

Looks all greyscale and monochrome in most parts... which is surprisingly nicer.. Still not s fan of the layout,. It does seem like the house is designed to have a one way traffic from front door to the bedrooms.

I hate almost every single preset build item but I do like some of the buy ones. You're right I need to make my own swatches and just have them ready

I use those counters in most gameplay builds haha, but I used base game ones in every other house before this

I really like the siding and light gray wallpaper. The black roof is always a must for white siding. Not too bad.

A ten minute sims 3 build challenge should really be 45 minutes given how much more unwieldy things can be sometimes
