I just finished downloading Sims 3 today - it was the game of my childhood. And even today, goddamn 14 years later, I was finding new things and just involuntarily smiling because of the pure enjoyment I got from *playing* the game; I had to force myself to stop playing. Never happened with Sims 4. Just pure frustration.

@@LauraBeeDannon good choice. I got the sims 4 collector's edition for my bday when the game first came out - played for 2 hours and didn't return to the game until 5 years later... only to find out that it was just as disappointing as it was at the launch.
I am gonna buy ts3 on Saturday because the gameplay in ts4 is just bad and not really realistic either
@@duvxt.no3ll_e id recommend pirating unless you're like thrifting or something - dont give your money to EA lol. Plus you can get multiple if not all expansions (i dont recommend running into the future or island paradise though, as they're so big they might slow down the game). And also look into the mods you should install for ts3 like Nraas overwatch etc. that remind you to save the game and clean the world. With all this I manage to run the game with almost all expansions perfectly in good graphics with no lag on a 8gb RAM laptop lol

Another great renovation! And yes, the latticed fence is VERY 50s/60s. My aunt and uncle bought a house built in 1957 with a wall by the front door exactly like that. It was the definition of groovy!
That makes perfect sense. I thought the fence was base game but it comes with lucky palms (EA categorized it incorrectly, what a surprise). Groooovy indeed gaga
This house reminds me of my childhood home! I'm scandinavian and alot of your design elements are so 70's and scandinavian! The bathroom is tres elegant! Our entry was even like this with the stairs and weird plant area! ♥ 🏡 👍

never played in it, but would visit it often as the starter home across the street was my fave and I always try to have my sims get to know their neighbors. definitely one of the better builds in SV and you did a lovely job elevating it

Recently found and subscribed, and I have to say I've been charmed by your whole series of rating sims 3 occupied houses! I also quite enjoy your renovation of Sunset Valley series. I played in Sunset Valley for generation challenge. SV is a beautiful world but its taste is way out of time, and way out of control (they really don't have to color everything in ugly yellow to make it "sunset", LOL). As an old Simmer, I've been doing something similar recently, almost a year and half, to renovate the Bridgeport! Just showing some support. Hopefully you could also do the rating videos to Sims 2 and 4 houses, or do sims 2, 3, 4 empty/community lots rating too (gosh I know that's a lot, but I do like your rating videos)!

Some places in sunset Valley are NOT to bad. I was looking at a few houses the last time i was playing. I MAY go BACK again and take another look around. For like a bigger place if possible so i can another family to it. I can't build thst well but I CAN re-decorate places. So I MAY do that too. Btw Sims 3 is one of msy favorite game of the sim franchise. Ty for posting and also the way you did the glass part was pretty cool. You made the place look better 🤩👍 Take care. ✌💫

Hey friend. Just wanting to let you know I am finally moving back to Virginia from Florida. Spent Thanksgiving in Virginia. Now back in Florida packing and waiting for the movers Saturday. Just finished watching the video again.

Thanks for the video I've renovated this house but added a second floor and moved the kitchen and dining room to the other side of the house where the kids room was. I did move their office to where the dining room is. But I have bad news. I broke my right arm over the weekend. Pray for me, friend.

Just letting you know I did turn the car port into a garage like you did too. I loved what you did to the wainwright house. And kept that rooftop patio after adding the second floor. Just used a spiral staircase to the upper floor and patio.

Love your remodel! feeling very inspired. Question are you moving the lights up and down the walls like paintings, if yes how? And in some videos of yours I have seen you adjust the height of just one roof not all of them, please tell me how?
There is an option to click in the roof tool
And for lights height, just stick it on a blank wall then click and drag it

Brown, beige, green, and oranges are my favorite for my Sims 3 homes. But not that minimalist look, I LOVE gaudy 70s/80s home designs. Reminds me of growing up in the early 2000s, lol. Everyone was still living in the 80s/90s well into 2008. 😂

I'm thinking of getting into sims 3. Do you recommend any fun Sims 3 dlc? I want to get island paraside (but I hear it's super laggy).
Start with base game, but if you get IP there are lots of things you can do to fix any lag problems. acottonsock has a great video about that specifically

And to answer your question, I think Ambitions is the best expansion pack! I love all the active careers, architect and firefightr are really fun
Hii! I have some questions abt ts3 which I’m getting soon, I would love answers!
1. Which is the laggiest pack? (So I know which ones I shouldn’t buy)
2. Which pack is more highly recommended, generations or pets?
3. Are mods (almost) like required to play the game properly or can you just choose lower graphics?
4. Will it crash every five minutes on my 3 year old laptop?

1. Isla Paradiso, followed by pets
2. Ambitions is by far the best IMO. Generations is great but overrated by some people
3. Just play vanilla to start, lower graphics settings
4. You'll be fine it's a myth started by EA to make people play sims 4

Hey Friend. Just passing on the bad news for all Virginia residents and my friend. That I am now back in the fine state of confusion, AKA Virginia. hehehe. Hope your Christmas was well. We had the moving truck arrived the day before Christmas Eve. So no time to put up a tree or stuff like that. It'd be hard to bring all the furniture and packing boxes in if we had a tree in the house. And by the way, we also have a kitten living here with us. In addition to our older cat, Sh*thead. Do not ask me why he named that. We call the kitten, Archie. Like Archie Bunker of All in The Family. Happy New Year.

Apparently the EA App broke for a day (Sims 4 was not opening)... but Sims 3 worked just fine, so I built this while everyone was complaining hahaha
