- WE HAVE BEACH HOME VISITORS... AND YOU MAY RECOGNIZE THEM FROM VLOGS!
Boy Perstaym and Bret Maverick are both here at our beach home in Cateel, Davao. And on this day, I take them out to Boston area and show them a little bit of Province life. It had been raining heavy, but that didn't stop us from checking out some waterfalls, and having a great time hiking down muddy trails. This whole coast is full of beautiful waterfalls... but truly there is nothing more beautiful than the local community! We were reminded of that eating at a carinderia/house in Boston. The food and locals were so great!

It's the Manila/Acapulco trade galleon...that's how cacao was introduced to the country and how mangoes were introduced to Mexico and South America.

The chocolate trivia is interesting but not surprising. The Philippines was under The Viceroyalty of New Spain once which is now known as Mexico. Our primary influence was not from Spain itself but from Mexico via the Manila-Acapulco Galleon Trade.
Interestingly during World War II, Mexico sent the 201st Fighter Squadron with volunteer Mexican airmen to help liberate the Philippines in 1945. So Mexicans and Filipinos are brothers/sisters at heart. Jo-Koy was right, Filipinos are the Asian Mexicans. :P

I liked this video. Good variety. I was sitting here thinking as to what you could do to gain even more viewers. keeping in mind that what we would do here in the West may not apply there.
How would you feel about moto camping? Caper or tent.. You might be able to find a motor home. Or moto camping gear for tent camping with a couple guys.. I'm interested in doing camping but don't see a bunch of places to do it. Maybe arrange with some land owners to use some area they have to stop overnight ..

Be careful y’all Kulas, Bret and Friends. One tragic happened relating to waterfalls, where people swim on the waterfall after a heavy rain. The water from the top strongly run over the people on the lower part of the falls.
