@@brclyn I like the fact that restaurants now have finger foods for kids, eg: carrots, celery, strawberries, blueberries, etc. Some restaurants even have applesauce. Most kids like cheese, so if they have a cheese & meat plate that is a great alternative to a full meal. Most Asian restaurants (as in the continent) have jasmine or basmati (plain white) rice. I don't know one kid that doesn't like white rice. Wah-lah, you just made a whole meal for a kid. Looking at the website or calling the restaurant is the best way to deal with these kinds of issues. I was on a special restricted diet for a year, and several restaurants in my area were very accommodating. I would call ahead and explain, they discreetly took the boxed meal when we arrived then plated and served it with the rest of the table.
As I said in my earlier post, I think it depends on how the accommodation is asked for. If you are nice about it, most restaurants, especially if they make all their meals to order, are accommodating. I'm on a salt-restrictive diet so I definitely wouldn't expect things like soup or stew to be made to my specs. I've actually called GrubHub-listed restaurants, told them I wanted to order from them but I'm on a very salt-restrictive diet, & asked what, if anything, I could order that would fall under my diet. They have always been accommodating. And of course, I never called during rush-hour diner service; that would be really rude.

That should actually be allowed imo, also that's not nearly a comparable situation to bringing outside food to a restaurant. A movie theater isn't a restaurant, and all their snacks cost more than the actual movie tickets. Nobody is serving food to people while they're watching the movie, everyone has already gotten it so it's not rude to any staff or anything. Literally everyone takes in outside snacks to the movies, and most theaters don't even care- staff don't even come in and check to make sure what people are eating. I reordered four times and each time I was informed that they lost my ticket four times. I was mad I was starving and so I ordered a pizza. I figured if they felt it was wrong then maybe they should have not lost my ticket four times
I'm pretty sure the only problem with it is that you're not buying food at there restaurant and they don't need other people to think it's OK to have outside food in their restaurant. If the food is cooked properly there shouldn't be any type of sanitation violation. It is still ignorant for anybody to attempt that.
Worked as a prep cook/cook/too much bullshit for a small restaurant for a couple months. It can be unsanitary! If you bring in food unprepared, we can't cook it for you. It might have nuts or diary, and there's a fear of allergies we can't control, and it's most likely you won't know the answer either. If it's precooked, enclosed in its own container, then you can bring your own food if you tell us ahead of time nicely and the reason why. In restaurants we at the very least know every ingredient, or can find out what anything is so we can try to accommodate every customer. No raw or unprepared outside food please! Only small snacks, beverages, and allergy specific foods :)
No outside food or drink, its a health code violation.(assumimg this is in the U.S). Its incredibly rude and more than likely against restraunt policy. The restraunt I worked out was so strict with this rule, employees could not bring outside food into the break room for consumption during breaks.
@@arcangel6385 If they wouldn't let you bring in outside food, they should have offered you a free meal or at least discounted it. When I was in HS (1974-1976) I worked in a hospital. Employees got a substantial discount on the cafeteria food, & it was really good. They only offered cold foods to the swing shift employees (11PM to 7AM) but everything was prepared that day so it was fresh. They did have a microwave oven so, if you wanted to heat something up, like the chicken for your Caesar salad, you could.
It really is rude. People would bring food from other eateries into our cafe's dining area, not order a thing from us, and leave a gigantic mess for us to clean up. Noodles and taco sauce, pizza boxes full of crusts, bones from buffalo wings, popcorn all over the floor, they'd use the creamer and cocoa powder shaker to make chocolate milk (that cocoa powder only dissolved in hot water, it was meant for a light dusting on top of your latte. Atleast the pizza guy was nice and respectful and the Karen atleast paid for the food she ordered atleast (P.s. I try to atleast find a silver lining in situations in videos and these were the only ones i could find so far and that maybe Alana found a reason to drink wine if that counts)
To be honest: I think restaurants should think again about that rule. I often pay more for the drinks than for the food. Especially if others at the table order your food, you still make more profit than from an empty table. I once was at a restaurant, and I ordered a dish from their menu - and later I saw a delivery guy bringing food to the restaurant and right after that I got my food. Apparently the restaurant staff called the delivery themselves for my dish.
Was she from a small town maybe? With only one or two restaurants? (I'm trying desperately to come up with an explanation and preserve a little more of my faith in humanity)
If anything, the pizza delivery person was being polite, they knew it was rude to enter into the building and didn't want to be turned into a spectacle cause as soon as they come in with that pizza people would stare and make everyone uncomfortable so a star to them for trying to handle the situation and is def not being paid enough to deal with this customer.
@@MaskedReviews no i mean you were hoping for faith restored right? So i mean the pizza person was being very polite to the restaurant by trying to not cause a scene. So if anything thats a positive.
No outside food or drink allowed is a very standard policy. I do sometimes bring in dessert items to a local sports bar that has no dessert menu, but that's as far as I have tried to push it.

Do some people actually do this? I mean, if I want a certain kind of food I'd call the restaurant and ask them before going. Or just go to the restaurant and ask, and if they didn't just order something else. This restaurant looks like it would serve amazing food. Pricey, but you get what you pay for

While this customer's behaviour is beyond unacceptable, I wouldn't go as far as to call that restaurant "Greek". From what I gather from your videos and the dishes you've mentioned, it's mostly Italian if anything. It's way too common and very frustrating to see restaurant owners bastardize our cuisine beyond recognition and then have the audacity to call it Greek.
What I don't get about this story is the woman found out they didn't serve pizza when she sat down, a sane person would left the Greek restaurant and just went Dominos rather than trying to get them to deliver there.😶

I reordered four times and each time I was informed that they lost my ticket four times. I was mad I was starving and so I ordered a pizza. I figured if they felt it was wrong then maybe they should have not lost my ticket four times
Isn’t it a sanitation violation to bring outside food into a restaurant?
She said "Wat?" 👁👄👁
It gets me every time! 😆
(Ketchup episode)
Pff- I just got a Dominos ad at the end of the video-
Get her to go outside to get the pizza; then lock the door behind her. Stand there smiling if it's a glass door. 🙋♀️☮️
Amazing!! Hope he notices
It's funny how people when they think Mediterranean food they think Pizza no it's more like hummus, tubule, chicken kabobs rice etc not pizza LOL
No outside food or drink, its a health code violation.(assumimg this is in the U.S). Its incredibly rude and more than likely against restraunt policy. The restraunt I worked out was so strict with this rule, employees could not bring outside food into the break room for consumption during breaks.
That's ridiculous! I would be bothered if I couldn't eat my food from home because it's outside food.
@@jennevamadison3803 yea it was annoying to have to buy food if you wanted to eat.
0:57 awwww she isn’t wearing her glasses
Finally, you win!!!
Best one yet.
I need a part four when she demands a manager..
Savages!
You and bistro huddy should do a collab
Atleast the pizza guy was nice and respectful and the Karen atleast paid for the food she ordered atleast
(P.s. I try to atleast find a silver lining in situations in videos and these were the only ones i could find so far and that maybe Alana found a reason to drink wine if that counts)
I'm loving your videos!
One time when my friend was working at a fast food drive-thru, they ordered a pizza to be delivered into the drive-thru.
One in spirit! lol
Can't eat in a restaurant legally in Michigan Board of health says no outside food bought in Has to be cooked on premise
Was that a double California Salute that Alana gave at the end?!?! Naughty Naughty!! 🤣
@@idontevenknow9758did you respond to the wrong comment?
@@MaskedReviews no i mean you were hoping for faith restored right? So i mean the pizza person was being very polite to the restaurant by trying to not cause a scene. So if anything thats a positive.
@@idontevenknow9758 good point!
@@MaskedReviews no worries, im sorry if my wording before was terrible haha.
No outside food or drink allowed is a very standard policy. I do sometimes bring in dessert items to a local sports bar that has no dessert menu, but that's as far as I have tried to push it.
They actually tried this at a hotel restaurant I was at, The restaurant charged them bring it to the table.
"everywhere has pizza" have you tried mcdonald's?
Outside food cannot be confirmed to have been prepared properly so according to health codes, is not allowed. It’s a violation.
When I was delivering for Domino's in our college town I was handed a pizza , and me, being a good driver, got to the address, only to find that it was (as it happened) a Greek/Italian restaurant.
No clue why, but I figured someone had decided to prank us (I DID say this was a college town, didn't I?)
Ah, well.
I'm pretty sure Dominoes and Pizza Hut have policies against delivering to another restaurant.
I'd say sorry we don't allow patrons to bring in food.
"Everyone has pizza" wtf?! Literally, only pizza places serve pizza, oh you can get personal pizza at places like Subway but she ordered a large.
The only outside food that should be allowed in a restaurant is formula or baby food for an infant under 1. Just my opinion
Isn't it also technically illegal to bring outside food to a restaurant? Like you can get kicked out or have the police called I thought
Do some people actually do this? I mean, if I want a certain kind of food I'd call the restaurant and ask them before going. Or just go to the restaurant and ask, and if they didn't just order something else. This restaurant looks like it would serve amazing food. Pricey, but you get what you pay for
Actually it is against health laws to bring food into a restaurant, because of the risk of cross contamination
I rememebr one place that was Greek that served pizza Italy did invent modern pizza but pizza od flatbreads withtoppings dates back earlier to Egyptians Romans and the Greek I know see why the perosn that ran the place arguedcd Greev\ce invented pizza
Pizza IS mediterranean food
We aren’t allowed to bring outside food I to resturuant’s here. The delivery wouldn’t even be allowed in. That Karen should have been shown the door early in this interaction.
When I was a kids I really wanted McDs chicken nuggets and everybody else went to Pizza Hut. So I took my happy meal into Pizza Hut. They made me put my food on a plate to eat it they took my cardboard box away from me. ☹️ I was so sad I just didn’t understand I was like six years old.
The Chinese restaurant that my Parents, Niece, & I ate at did the same thing with her McDonald's. My Niece actually loved it because she got to eat off of big people's plates like the rest of us.
What I don't get about this story is the woman found out they didn't serve pizza when she sat down, a sane person would left the Greek restaurant and just went Dominos rather than trying to get them to deliver there.😶
I came really close to ordering a pizza to a restaurant that myself and some little ladies from church were sitting down waiting to be served and have her order taken. They completely ignored us, we ended up leaving but I was so tempted to call the Domino's that was across the street in fact!
Well the best thing to do is to just leave if you're not happy with the service. So you were right for that
But Italy.. the country of pizzas .. is in the mediteranian ... so..
Bringing outside food is a faux pas, but bringing a Coke Zero in is ok,right?
Was this real?
ffs... what's wrong with ppl? have manners and civility decreased this much?
I think your videos are wonderful, but when are you going to learn how to use a camera so that they don't come out in mirror image?
So do you get comments from people that actually did this? Like it’s so rude and disrespectful!
i love ur videos girl but im so confused cus u always say this is a greek restaurant and then in all ur scenarios you're serving italian dishes to people
As far as I remember she says it's a Mediterranean restaurant and if I recall the owners are Greek.
I work at a Mediterranean and we do sell pizza. Her attitude is ridiculous but I would have just given her the address. Than tell my boss what was happening.
Bang bang bang...no questions asked...youll be charged for body bags...next!
There was an episode of Hell's Kitchen where all the contestants in one kitchen were doing badly one table ordered pizza. When it arrived, everyone cheered. When Chef Ramsay heard it, he shut everything down😊
