    AVAILABLE HERE: amzn.to/2fsXBeQ
    We have had the 5200XL for a couple of weeks now and we really like it! Easy to use, easy to clean and makes some of the basic food preparation tasks so easy. It's a significant investment for the family home but we think it's worth if we get at least 2 good years use of it.

    If you had fitted the blend mix ring into the big bowl, the fruit would have stayed lower in the bowl instead of the lid.

      The blend mix ring is not supplied in this kit. You have to purcahse it separately as BlenderMix P/No. CS4200-52

    Use the pulse button with your citrus press, and with your slicing disks much safe and faster

    I'd recommend using the pulse button not the auto button

    Just bought this machine and so far so good, a very robust machine and makes light work of food preparation. Thanks for reviewing this it’s helped me understand it better!

    3:25 "Then I hold 'auto'..." You don't need to hold it, it's on until you hit off. (It's the pulse button that you need to hold.)

    Very helpful review. I'm considering buying the 5200xl or the 4200xl. I've read reviews that the 5200xl is HUGE...hopefully it won't take up too much room on my worktop x

      @Konuku 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've been told that the base is exactly the same for both and so is the width of the bowl. The only main difference is the height of the bowls. I am guessing this is true since the extra attachments can be used in both?

    At 5:17, you do need to use the middle part of the pusher otherwise the machine will not turn on

    Acheter le Magimix 5200 pour sa grande cuve en espérant que l’on va pouvoir traiter de grandes quantités de légumes est une fausse bonne idée. En effet, les disques fournis possèdent un diamètre adapté au diamètre des cuves plus petites fournies avec le 5200. Ces disques ont un diamètre bien plus petit que celui de la grande cuve, ce qui fait que si vous tentez d’émincer ou de râper des légumes, de gros morceaux vont passer entre le disque (trop petit) et la paroi de la cuve. De la même manière, le tube central de la grande cuve n’est pas assez haut et vous ne pourrez utiliser la fonction « blender » que pour une quantité de liquide égale seulement au tiers du volume de la grande cuve sous peine de débordement. Il y a là un sérieux problème de conception. Il aurait mieux valu décliner cet appareil en trois tailles : petit, moyen, gros et ne pas fournir des bols plus petits permettant de réduire les quantités travaillées. Le 5200 se révèle incapable de tenir son rôle de « gros » appareil permettant de traiter beaucoup de légumes ou un grand volume dans la fonction « blender ». Autant débourser moins d’argent et acheter un appareil avec une cuve de taille « moyenne ».
    Par ailleurs, lors de l’utilisation de l’accessoire « coffret cubes et bâtonnets », en essayant de réaliser des cubes de légumes crus (carottes, navets, radis) un élément de la grille s’est désolidarisé pendant la coupe, endommageant le disque. La grille est inutilisable et le disque est endommagé. Le service garantie du site Magimix nous a répondu qu’il aurait fallu précuire les légumes, alors que les publicités montrent l’utilisation de cet accessoire avec des légumes crus. Évidemment le service garantie nous a opposé une fin de non-recevoir !

    Is the food pusher an optional accessory? Mine came with a simple pusher that doubles as a measuring cup, not that 3-piece design.

    as much as I like magimix, I have to say this machine design is quite stupid. the idea of nested bowls.. is just plain stupid. it is unstable and most of the time you have to wash all 3 bowls just to dice some vegetables.

      Rob Tomlinson and the three bowls? When you need just the small one, you need to install all three of them, and then clean them all coz the bowl below get splattered.

    • @porkroast9777
      @porkroast9777 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, but its a very versatile machine for as little as 600 $ Canadian. In the largest bowl, together with the stirring paddles, you can easily wash 3 pair of socks or 2 pair of stockings! Just press the pulse button, otherwise you puree them. 😉
