    I have had one for 15 years and apart from needing a new blade and a new mixing bowl due to wear and tear. They are brilliant I use mine every day even if it is just for prepping chopped unions for the family dinner. They are expensive but worth every penny. I Am buy one for my sons birthday as he has inherited my love of cooking.

    Félicitations pour votre nouveau Magimix!!!
    I'm absurdly proud to see how pleased you are with your Magimix. You'd think I designed and built the thing, but it's only that I was Made In France too!
    May it bring you decades of smooth sauces, fluffy brioches, and precisely shredded carottes! Enjoy it in good health!

      It does! and am sure it will continue to do so for many years as the other Magimix equipment I have does. Quality indeed. I live on the island of Jersey ci so being French you will have heard of us and know it is not America. Closest point Carteret :)

    I wish I had bought this 2 years ago, rather than my KitchenAid stand mixer. My stand mixer has been in for repair twice now...gears are poor quality. I think I'll buy this and use my KitchenAid as a secondary appliance, rather than a primary appliance. Magimix seem to be much better quality.x

    I'm struggling to decide on whether to buy the 4200xl or the 5200xl. It'd be great if retailers could show side by side photos of both models. I am planning on using the Magimix to make bread and pizza dough - rather than using my KitchenAid stand mixer for dough. Do you think the 5200xl looks cumbersome or is it fairly unobtrusive on the counter top please? x

    • @Mrsgooses
      @Mrsgooses  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's quite big, so you'll definitely notice it on your counter top. If you're going to be doing larger loaves of bread, then I would suggest the larger machine...just so you have the capacity, if you need it.

    • @Sooz3112
      @Sooz3112 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mrsgooses Many thanks. I decided on the 4200xl as it can handle my regular recipes for bread. The 3200xl would have been too small. As much as I loved the 5200xl, I felt like I wouldn't need such a large bowl on a daily basis. It's powerful, it's like it's got a car engine in there 😂. Rather than my bread dough taking 10 minutes in my KitchenAid stand mixer, it now takes around 1 minute...very impressed x

      So glad you're enjoying it! I love mine and it definitely makes dough a breeze 🙂

    You completely discarded the little black fitting in the styrofoam cylinder which has to be inserted into the lid.

    Very helpful video, thank you. I've been looking at these for quite a while, and I'm tempted to go for the 5200XL because I'd rather have a food processor that is too big, than too small :). It's a once in a lifetime investment, so I want it to be something that will handle whatever I throw at it, over the years. I don't want to buy a small one, then have to upgrade :).x

      Thanks for watching! Having the larger machine definitely makes a big difference and so much easier for larger quantities :)

    Are your flower mixes as consistent and good as done with your Kitchenaid Artisan? I have got an Artisan but my question to you is, would it be a wise decision to change that for this one? I haven’t got the room for any more big machines. So i would sell my Kitchenaid Artisan, my Kitchenaid blender and my Magimix duo plus XL juicer to buy this one and all accessories to do the job those 3 machines do for me now. Saves me a lot of space in my small kitchen. Thanx for your video

    • @Mrsgooses
      @Mrsgooses  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really depends on what you will use it for the most. If you're a baker and make cakes, cookies, breads, etc., I would stay with your KitchenAid. If you're more into grating/shredding/slicing, pureeing, etc., then this might be a better option. It's a tough call. I use both, but for different things. What do you use your current machines for the most?

    • @StevenvanderGraaf

      mrs gooses goodies i have sold my Magimix Duo Plus XL juicer, my Kitchenaid Blender and my Kitchenaid Artisan and bought the Magimix 5200 XL with all extra accessories. My intention was to save some space because i had no space left with those 3 machines. Well, unboxing all the new stuff made me come to the conclusion that it wasn’t the best switch 😂😂😂 but...... the machine is awesome and because i had more and more problems slicing due to my MS, i am really happy with this new friend of mine. I already made a rustic loaf of bread and it was great. I am gonna use it daily for everything it’s been advertised for and the baking bid the least. I think i am not gonna mis the Artisan Mixer because i did not use that one that much. I do want to thank you for your reply and unboxing. It partially helped me to make my decision. 👍

      I am planing to get one for my self for X-Mas but I was doubting with so much offer. My husband is chef de cuisine and he did told me this one was the best because of the blades. But after seeing ur video now I know for sure what I want. What I like the moust about ur video is that u show on the box information wich moust of the time here in Holland they only put 80% of the information written on the specification and moust of the time they focus on.." how much extra parts it has and what u can do with it and lieve it out the moust important one like " the quality of the blades" hahahah!
      And of course ur excitement about it wich shows me u were really happy with it and was not a comercial video 😊. Thank you.

    Hi. I bought this machine overseas (not in US or UK), and the book is in French. Also, it did not come with the spiral-bound users guide. How would I get both these items in English?

    • @Mrsgooses

      I would just go onto their website. They'll have instructions for use and recipes.

    Magimix is better than the top of line Breville?

    • @Mrsgooses
      @Mrsgooses  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Cheryl S. Hi Cheryl. If you're comparing it to the Breville Sous Chef, I would choose the Magimix. I haven't tried the Breville, but it has a variable slicing disc and I'm not a huge fan of those. But, that's just my opinion and I'm sure the Breville would be a good machine, if that's a brand you prefer.

    • @cher128bx
      @cher128bx 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bought my Breville Sous Chef about two years ago and it's a very good product. I have so many Breville products and happy with all of them.
      If I had known about the Magimix however, I would have bought it as your video sold me 100% and they're exactly the same price. Enjoy your new Magimix! :)

    • @maleka58
      @maleka58 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no competition! It's like the Miele of food processors. The Breville will be a lot cheaper! the Magimix will last a lifetime (30 years guarantee!). I have used mine every day for years which is why I bought one for my daughter. You will also notice that most of the professional TV chefs use them. Even Mary Berry for cakes!!

      I live in Jersey ci (not New Jersey) A very small island in the bay of St Malo 9 x 5 miles lol. I tried looking on the USA Amazon but it redirects to the English one. Try buying one they may send it to you, but by it, on Prime as they will provide free postage back if there is a problem. You do not have to be a member to use it. Magimix is so reliable I think the guarantee is for 30 years!!! I sometimes buy from the US so can't see why it would not work the other way. Parts are also available on Amazon and loads of other places. The only thing I ever have to buy is the mixing bowl as I wear it out! All parts a dishwasher safe (hate washing up) www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_5_8?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=magimix+5200xl&sprefix=magi+mix%2Caps%2C148&crid=1XOK3BONBOMRC
