The Intel versions usually have a lot of good options but this year I'm kind of disappointed a 4070 usually those ones you can get like up to the top tier with Intel so that has me a bit worried what the AMD version would look like
this isnt the pro version of the 7i, this is either non-pro or slim, the pro 7i has 4080 and 4090 variants
this is what was previously called the slim 7i due to it being smaller and lighter it doesnt have the cooling to support a higher gpu if you want that you would have to get the pro 7i or the 9i

@@michaozga7825 i wouldn’t say so, m16 is thinner hence the performance is worse, but portability is better. depends on what’s your preference. mine - performance. they’re completely different machines in different categories
what are the actual differences from gen 8 to gen 9...looking at the pro 7i specifically.
with legion 9 being the "best"
their goal with pro 7i was a laptop that is the best price to performance with a 4080-4090 (compared to competitors) even if it's cheaply made in a few other aspects

Where is the Legion Slim 7i Gen 9!? I thought they would at least refresh it with the latest CPU’s & GPU’s.
This is pretty much the Slim 7, but with a new name.
Why are they not using the new Intel Core Ultra for this? Isn’t it much more efficient?
It is a Legion series product, for gaming and heavy task , why they would use iCore Ultra ?

@NVIDIAGeForce put more vram! laptops w/rtx4090 needs 24gb vram instead of 16gb, so we have the same vram as the actual gpu, nxt yr if the Rtx5090 came with 32gb vram, why not cram in 32gb vram in laptops, I mean if you can't fit in the actual die size gpu give us MORE VRAM.

Kind of mediocre to be honest, expected more this year! No innovation whatsoever.
Yeah, they didnt bother to include meteor lake and they made it slightly thicker, which wouldve made it a much better work and gaming laptop, and also no new screen options like miniled, unlike asus with their g14 and g16.
Crossing my fingers for a mid year refresh though.
Miniled or OLED like Asus G16 and G14 will make this laptop incredibly more expensive. Just look at the price between the G14 2023 and 2024. You will see the increase in price will go into display as well. Lenovo did have a cheaper Lenovo Legion Slim 5 14OLED but with a higher Delta E score.
And Meteor Lake in a gaming laptop is not what you see on an ultrabook. @@aasishwarsaravana5748
