Theres a few matchups where gulfmon felt necessary to deal with some decks that have insane draw/search power, especially after your opponent understands how to play against the deck and just refuses to trash cards to syakoX/geso, or keeps themselves at 6 cards in hand to turn off the ex6 devi line. For that reason, imo bt14 devimon feels really good. Im also a bit surprised you don't have dragomon in your list. Seems like a shoe in to get all of that memory ESS. Overall, what were your impressions of the archetype? Thanks for giving this a shot. Here's hoping that the archetype gets some love in the near future with barbamonX!!
haha love how fast you came and commented! bt14 devi is pretty good, i just personally didnt like the 3 cost evo and potentially tossing my first stack to swing it in in this meta. Dragomon is perfectly fine as well i just like the way the deck played better when i hit my zwarts with the current level 5 lineup, I like the archetype a lot and it is tons of fun, but you are right that once people figure it out it can be a bit tricky and hard to get anything done. It seems to struggle the way a lot of decks do that like to have all their when digivolving effects to actually keep their level 6 functional, but it was definitely still a treat. Ex8 information got leaked it releasing in the english audience in January of next year but guess what it a surprise another liberator set called chains of liberation with focus being shoto apparently medieval gallentmon which is a card he will get but it does have barbamon x
