I was raised a JW from birth and have served the Lord since 1989. I loved being a JW as I am very social and love books, learning and history. I left and resigned by official letter to the congregation and the head quarters plus my JW family. I left the JW religion because I was shown that the JW Bible was MISSING scriptures and. Is edited to fit the JW teachings. I was shown this by a very kind, loving and knowledgeable pastor in field service over many visits. The JW elders told me never to return to this pastors home again, and I wrote the Watchtower organization for answers and received an elders meeting in return to address my questions on the JW bible translation. I was again told to STOP researching and asking questions just have FAITH in the Watchtower organization. I then just faded away and in the end lost my JW parents and family even marriage. I found Christ and I am so blessed by God that I went to the correct door that day in 1987.

I don't believe you didn't have a relationship with Jesus as a jw? I'm not one but I've studied with them and they taught me a lot and I have a relationship with Jesus! Did you go every week twice a week to Kingdom Hall? People love to spread miss information about them I know that's.... I'm no jw I like buying gifts but I was welcome to their Kingdom Hall many times and I studied in my home with them. They allow anyone they teach to use any Bible they want to use and openly explain this or that as to why something may be different.

@@kittiecommittie The JWs know of a false Christ but if you don't accept Jesus as Lord and Savior you don't know who Jesus TRULY is. Without the Truth of Jesus Diety, and understanding of who the Holy Spirit is they're missing 2/3rds of WHO GOD IS. That's HUGE!
I was also a JW for 30 years and didn't develop a true relationship with Jesus until I LEFT the religion. It's one thing to know who Jesus is and the stories of Jesus life and it's completely different to have an actual relationship with Him. And you can only have a relationship with Him when you really know Him without all the forced lies they push on you.

Erica… I was baptised at 10, Many years later when the internet first was available, I was able to research the JW’s and I felt quite traumatised that I had been brought up to believe a set of lies. Took me a while to get over it but became a Christian in 2016 so praise the Lord Jesus! 🙌

I was a JW for 40 years and recently 7 months ago awakened and came to Christ! The Holy Spirit was strong! He lead us to do many truths that we ended up baptizing eachother … me my husband and our son in our home! And started partaking! Then we prayed to find the children of God! Saints .. so we can gather with them!
And everything Mike said is true! We did our own research on everything imaginable and found the dirt becoming hills to mountains of Lies and Cultism!
It’s a Shame! Thank you for all your sermons Mike!

We stood outside the Convention Center in Madison Wisconsin while the JWs had their annual convention, years in a row.
We held Scripture signs, one with Jesus's I AM statement.
They called the police on us, but the police said that we were in our rights.
Any number of years later my Pastor in another small town, in passing at the pot luck dinner, mentioned that he had a friend in Beloit Wisconsin that had a group that helped JWs adjust to Christianity. He mentioned how hard it was for them. Then he added in how his friend had become saved because God had used a Scripture sign that Christians held outside the convention center in Madison. He said that it was the Scripture about Jesus confessing that before Abraham I am.
This was wonderful. Not only had our efforts had such fruit, but God had, through a round about way, let us know about it!

JW never respond or change based on another teaching. You can point out all their mistakes and it generally does nothing to them. Eventually it’s when internal breakdowns or breakups happen then they open themselves to be woken from the JW teaching. They are trained - well trained- to have an excuse of change of doctrine as well as an undying faith in their teachings. FYI I was a JW.

When you witness to anyone, including JWs, you get amazing results when you stand in the actual power of The Word of God itself. The Word of God, by faith, has amazing power to cut through anything and everything in its intended subject and work its miraculous changes for them.
Do not try to change people to God's will for them with the art of persuasion or circumstances. Stand in the amazing power of The Word of God and watch It do its perfect work. It has NOTHING to do with mans' understanding. It IS from above.
Hebrews 4:12 KJV - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I am a former JW and although I was not a practicing JW, I almost turned down a blood transfusion after a surgery mishap. I was in my early 30’s with a husband and two small children. I figured it was worth my losing salvation to be there for my family. I never regretted the decision yet it haunted me for YEARS. I have since come to know the truth and was born again. Calvary Chapel and it’s clear, direct Biblical teaching has been a big part of my conversion. I now have peace in my life and an immense love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. …the difference is: I love Him because of everything He is and because of His love and sacrifice not because I’m told to.

My head is so screwed up. Finding out that I don't have the truth at all is numbing. I don't know what to do. Where to go. What is wrong with us??? Why can't we see. One minute I want to listen, the next minute I feel tense and wrong. Trying to pray to God and I have to start by saying Jehovah and then literally calling upon Jesus name. It's so difficult people. From our own Bible we have an answer for everything, and I mean everything. And if I can debate with a priest, believe me I can debate with you, we are schooled in scripture 24/7. That's all we do. But it's not scripture. It's the Watchtower telling me where to go and how to get there. I'm falling apart. My wife is scared. She knows what happens if I leave and get disfellowshipped. We are cut off completely from the world, our family. Everything that you people have, we lose.

      Heb 1:4 (NIV)
4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
Jesus became superior to the angels because he inherited a name superior to theirs. Why would Paul say this if Paul thought Jesus was the almighty God? Wouldn't the almighty already have a name superior to the angels?
Wouldn't the almighty be more powerful than the angels?
But Jesus became superior to the angels because of a name he inherited. Jesus is an angel himself. God gave him all authority and a name above every other angel. The “name” is more excellent than that of God’s angels in that his name embraces or stands for the vast executive authority that Jehovah has placed in him.
When the trinity doctrine was hatched the apostates did not think it through. They wanted their god to be like the pagan gods they were familiar with.
Jesus taught his followers to pray, “Let your [the Father’s] kingdom come.” (Matt. 6:9, 10) So the kingdom is God’s, but Jehovah has given rulership responsibilities to his only-begotten Son for a limited time and for a specific purpose.
      1Cor 15:23-28 (NIV)
Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.
So while Jesus is ruling as king with all authority, angels will bow before Jesus to pay homage not worship.
So Jesus is not God. The Trinity doctrine is actually a pagan doctrine masquerading as a Christian one. It was promoted by Satan to deceive people, to make God confusing and mysterious to them. It turns people away from the true God to worship a created being.
John 17:3 reads “And eternal life means to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, whom you sent". - Good News Translation.
The distinction is clear, we need to know the only true God, whose name is Jehovah, and the one he sent who we know as Jesus who acted as his word who became his Faithful and True Witness.
Revelation 3:14 (ASV) And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These things saith the Amen, THE FAITHFUL AND TRUE WITNESS, the beginning of the creation of God
      Revelation 1:5 (ASV) and from Jesus Christ, [WHO IS] THE FAITHFUL WITNESS, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loveth us, and loosed us from our sins by his blood;
God’s purpose in connection with the Kingdom and its Messianic Ruler had been spelled out in prophecy. Jesus, by his entire earthly life course, which culminated in his sacrificial death, fulfilled all the things prophesied about him. He thus confirmed and guaranteed the truth of Jehovah’s prophetic word. For this reason the apostle Paul could say: “No matter how many the promises of God are, they have become Yes by means of him.
Jehovah's Witnesses worship Jehovah only and honor Jesus as their king.

Jesus called me out, and it is ministries like this one Mike who have given me the help that I have so desperately needed. I have lost my entire family to the "cult" and it is really hard. It is amazing however, the tender care that Jesus provides. Mike, your commentary on the organization is really well researched and accurate - which is not always the case among pastors. When I read about an ex-JW that supposedly was an elder or was a JW for 20 or more years and thinks Jesus is the almighty my first thought is he is a liar.
If he was ever a JW then he must have been disfellowshiped and never repented.
Jesus the founder of Christianity said " I came not to bring peace but a sword, for I came to set variance at a man with his father, and a daughter against her mother, and her daughter against her mother-in-law, a man's foes will be those in his household, he that loves mother , or father more than me, is not worthy of me, and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Jesus was the one that said those words at Matthew 10:34 through 40. Do you think that Jesus separated families? Why did Jesus say these things? Because when you find true Christianity the world will be against you and look at 1st Corinthians 5 :1 through 13, it talks about removing people from the congregation anyone called a brother as it says. So that's fine you can join any religion you want and you can do anything you want committing fornication , take drugs , smoke , drink, do all kinds of sinful things and they'll take you in but not in Jehovah's organization. If you don't repent you will be removed from the congregation. That doesn't mean that you cannot return and still come to meetings. You can still come to meetings and try to repent , so that you can be reinstated. That is true Christianity because Jesus said to do it.
The Almighty God does not have brothers in heaven so Jesus can not be the Almighty God.
      Heb 2:10-12 10
For it was fitting that the one for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the Chief Agent of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11 For both the one who is sanctifying and those who are being sanctified all stem from one, and for this reason he is not ashamed to call them BROTHERS, 12 as he says: “I will declare your name to my BROTHERS; in the midst of the congregation I will praise you with song.
When adopted as a son of God you become a brother of Jesus.
Angels are called sons of God. Angels are also brothers to Jesus
Job 1:6 (KJV) Now there was a day when the SONS OF GOD came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Since the covid pandemic, I have started examining the Bible therapeutically, and theologically and have learnt that much of what I was taught was a superficial level of understanding and am so much happier to have become less complacent and what I love now, as a non denominational messianic believer, is a verse by verse examination of Scripture, with meditation and holy spirit. Each year I read the entire Bible and am happier. May God bless the humble.

I left the JWs almost 30 years ago and it was only four years ago that I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. It was like a veil was lifted from my eyes. I had problem with trust in what others were telling me. When I first went to my current church, I asked the pastor how do I know what you are saying is true. The pastor looked at me and said "research it for yourself. I want you to be a self-feeder, not dependent on what I say." I almost fell over because I had never been told that. It was always "here look at this article in the watchtower". That was my freedom. The freedom of my mind to pursue God. "Jehovah" was always in this box that the Watchtower made him to be. But God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is way bigger and amazing than what they put in that box for you.

@@terrancevinson638 I respond to that one: In JW's new world translation of the Bible, the leadership has deliberately added the word "other" in Colossians 1: 16. So it appears as Jesus is a created being. The word "other" does not exist in the old hand written manuscripts of the Bible.
Moreover, the governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses paraphrase the words in Philippians 2: 6, so is seems that Jesus is not equal with God. But the Bible clearly teaches that Jesus the Son has the same deity as God, the Father. Read Philippians 2: 6 in Young's Literal Translation. One more scripture:
Read 1 Timothy 3: 16 in new world translation. After you read the same verse in Authorized King James Version, here it says: "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." The word manifest can also mean evident.
The change of Bible verses creates a problem in your understanding of who Jesus is.
You get a false view of Jesus Christ, if you use the new world translation. This is dreadful, because you dishonor Jesus! If you don't honor Jesus, then you don't honor the Father in heaven. Read John 5: 23.
The leadership of Jehovah's witnesses created the lie that you can not read the Bible on your own and understand it. Jesus explains that the Holy Spirit will teach you all things. John 14: 26

So very true about the fact that people get roped in into the cults due to their lack of knowledge and understanding of the biblical truth.
I was raised in Mormonism and really believed in all the claims Joseph Smith had about himself. Taught people to believe likewise while serving a mission for the LDS.
Now that I have been a biblical Christian for a little over 20 years, I can see that what the Bible teaches on the central doctrines of Christianity like the nature of God, Christ, man, what sin is and how one can be forgiven and set free from it, when compared with the doctrines of Mormonism, we have a complete different gospel and God being taught there. Same happens with what Tazer, White, Eddy, etc, taught in their own movements.
It is obvious why they have to discredit the Bible somehow. That’s the only way for them to establish their reason for existing in the roles they claim to have been divinely called to fulfill.
The reason for us to continue to speak out about those self-proclaimed prophets is because we care about the ones being deceived in their movements, and their eternal life.
Looking forward to the one on Mormonism!✝️

I studied with the witnesses for almost 2 years and studied with the Mormons for 6 months. I couldn’t get past basic theology with the LDS church though. Ironically, structurally what they believe is the straw man that the witnesses sometimes use to attack the trinity.
As opposed to the Witnesses who are studious people, I found Mormons to be more about their heart or “feelings” that the Book of Mormon is true and Joseph Smith is a Prophet and that the LDS is the one true church.
I would love to hear more about your experience.

    • @FromJosephtoJesus
      @FromJosephtoJesus 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

carbon273 You are not wrong when you say that Mormons are more about their feelings as their testimony of Smith being a prophet usually comes from these types of subjective personal experiences, for example. Sometimes it is only their own feelings, sometimes they do have some type of supernatural experiences that is not coming from God. So, they will say that “I know” Mormonism is true.
Also, unlike the JW’s, they have three more books besides the Bible as part of their canon.
I have began a YT channel where my objective is to do comparative studies between the Bible and all of their doctrines and let people decide for themselves. I believe it to be a very important thing for Christians to speak the truth of the Gospel in love because like the younger me, there are more of Jesus ‘s sheep lost in these cults, whom He is calling to Him. My channel has the same name: “From Joseph to Jesus.” God willing, I am about to begin recording in my native Brazilian Portuguese also.

I was raised a JW and was finally convinced it wasn’t the truth after I was shunned and prayed to Jesus last year. He helped me understand, in the JW Bible, what his true identity was. A great way to convince a JW is to disprove their beliefs in their own Bible. That’s what Jesus did for me. I wouldn’t have trusted any other translation or was too faithful to look at publications outside Watchtower. You have to use the JW Bible. It’s sacred to JWs. Of course, it’ll be something different for each JW. What it comes down to is this: disqualify the qualifications of the Governing Body. Once they fall as Christ’s spokesmen, the rest of the doctrines do too. Besides, many JWs have doubts, but they are told to ignore them. If there is an issue that scripturally can’t be explained away then some start to wake up. In all honesty, I think it would be difficult for anyone who was never a JW to convince a JW to leave. Even in this video, @Mike Winger made some conclusions or assumptions that were either obscure or unfamiliar to many JWs (many JW publications are republished every few years and then the old publications are seen as “old light” and aren’t referenced anymore. So anything more than 15-20 years would be considered outdated or old light to a lot of JWs and thus not a valid argument.) So the JJ Ross argument was convincing to me because I already left, but if I was still in it, I would consider it slander pushed out by Satan and reject it, probably not even read it if directly presented to me. The Micheal the Archangel point is obscure. Not really talked about so much in the last few decades/since the late 90s. As far as the no blood issue, it’s not viewed as cannabalism (maybe in the 70s or something but not in recent decades) It’s based off Acts 15:28, 29 to “abstain...from blood.” Thank you for ministry and research!

I then read “Crisis of Conscience” and everything about the covers of the books from the 1970s started making sense. Here’s what got me to realize an archangel was never the WORD made flesh. Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'" When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 were Written: "'You are my witnesses, is the utterance of Jehovah, 'even my servant whom I have chosen.'" Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciples today must be the same kind of witnesses, Jehovah's.

Jesus dwells in the Father and so when you bow your knees to the Father to worship, you are worshiping the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit of God because He is the Spirit of Christ just as when i worship my Savior, God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. When we believe in Jesus God is glorified Remember when Jesus said to Phillip " he who has seen Me has seen the Father" and even more seriously in Revelation 22 the throne of God and of the Lamb gushed out the river of the water of life clear as crystal in whose water grows the tree of life. The Father and the Son in Glorious fellowship on the throne with the Spirit and the Bride. You bow down at the throne , who are you worshiping?

Former disassociated JW. This is like disfellowship but I left on my own. You are correct that no one will talk to you and they avoid you like the plague. Funny now over the last 10 years or so they keep finding me to try and get me back. It is called going out in service when they go door to door. You report how many magazines and tracks you place so it is important to hit a lot of house along with the hours spent. I used to auxiliary pioneer every summer which is 60 hrs a month. Full time pioneers is 90 hours a month. No one is encouraged to go to college since you are only working enough to live. The primary goal is to witness and serve Jehovah. Also playing sports or belonging to groups in school is a big no no as it is associating with worldly people. I started to ask questions of the elders and they could not answer my questions and that is when I left as a teenager. It is only in the last three years that I finally understood that Jesus is God. That was the hardest part to wrap my mind around.

Sorry! That comment seems odd. People who become JWs don't do so over the counter. It takes months or even years to QUALIFY as one.
Why would someone join a nonsmoking club and then question the policy of being a non smoker.
Finding the truth is the end of a search.
John 8:31 Then Jesus went on to say to the Jews who had believed him: “If you remain in my word, you are really my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

I'm disgusted that it took until last year to leave the JWs and will never go back. Fabulous! This is the best review of the topic I’ve seen done by someone who was never a JW.
You did a very good job of explaining it. Even so, there’s some things that are difficult to get across. Like the horrendous damage it does to children who are raised in it.

I’m the only one who really got along well with everybody in the family and never had any problems. It’s been horrifying to experience the lengths they go to feel better about their shunning of me.

  • @martine5480
    @martine5480 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

@TheCaledonianBoy There are a few verses that convinced me. The first was Acts 9:5 (Jesus says Saul is persecuting Him.) Then in 9:14 (Ananias says Saul is persecuting all those who called on Jesus’, not Jehovah’s name. Also historically, it hit me that the Christians preached about Jesus Christ. That is why they were called Christians. They weren’t known for preaching Jehovah’s name.) 9:15 Jesus says Saul would carry his name to the people. (If Saul were to be a witness of Jehovah, then wouldn’t Jesus say to preach Jehovah’s name? So I realized JW’s are preaching the wrong name. Christians have always been called to witness about Jesus. Later in the chapter the apostles heal in Jesus’ name. It’s all done in Jesus’ name, not Jehovah’s.)
Which brought me later to Phil. 2:10- how is it that every knee in Heaven should bow to Jesus? Isn’t Jehovah in heaven? Yet in Phil. 2:9 it says God the Father has exalted his name above EVERY other name. Which would contradict Isaiah 42:8?
The JW argument would be, well surely Jehovah’s name is the implied exception. But, it says every name. Either way, really what this verse is saying is that God the Father says to worship Jesus. If every knee should bow to Jesus and every tongue should confess He is Lord, this is more than showing respect, this is worship.
How could Jehovah say this? In Isaiah 45:22,23 Jehovah says every knee should bow to Him.
Also, again in Isaiah 42:8 Jehovah says He gives his glory to no other...but wouldn’t the verse in Philippians 2:10 then, again, contradict Isaiah 45:22,23 and Isaiah 42:8?
If Jesus was not God, then Jehovah would be contradicting Himself, which He cannot.
Isaiah 44:6-8 Jehovah says He is the First and the Last, there is no god besides Him. That if anyone is like Him, let them declare it. He is the Rock....interestingly enough, Jesus does declare these same things about himself:
Rev. 1:17,18 Jesus calls Himself the First and the Last
1 Corinthians 10:4 Jesus is called the Rock.
Isaiah 40:10,11; Psalm 95:7; Jehovah is compared to and in Psalm called a shepherd and then in John 10:10,11, 14 Jesus calls himself the good shepherd.
Ez. 34:31 Jehovah calls his people His sheep.
John 21:17 Jesus calls God’s people His sheep. So whose sheep are they, Jehovah’s or Jesus’? If they are both God, there’s not a conflict in either expressing their people as their sheep.
I could go on with more examples to be honest, but these were the first verses the Lord showed me in the JW Bible and also some I’ve been shown since coming to Jesus.
Most of my entire large family is in the organization still- as elders, Bethelites, need greaters, a CO, pioneers, and former special pioneers. My family is very involved.
But once God opened my eyes, I couldn’t deny the truth anymore. Like Saul, who became Paul, Jesus revealed His true identity to me in the scriptures.
Isn’t it ironic how as a JW I never caught on to 2 Corinthians 11:4- that when someone preached another Jesus, the Corinthian congregation had put up with it. Paul counseled them for that.
Yet, that’s what JWs did, starting with Russell. Thousands of years after Jesus died, they came up with a new Jesus. How did I miss that?
May God bless your search for truth!

Sister, Philippians 2 doesn’t teach that Jesus is YWHW, but His Messiah.
“he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. For this reason God [YHWH] hath highly exalted him, and GIVEN him a name which is above every name, [who exalted him? Who GAVE him the name?] That at the name of Yeshua the Messiah every knee should bow … and every tongue confess that Yeshua the Messiah is lord, to the glory of God [YHWH] the Father.”
If Jesus were God, would he kneed to be given a position, and authority at God’s right hand as all the scriptures testify? And that too because of his obedience to death as predestined by the will of God? And if he were God, wouldn’t it be to his own glory, and not to the glory of God the Father, if in fact that were the case?
Just because Jesus isn’t God, it wouldn’t prove that the JW’s are what they claim to be.
      Peace.

Very good explanation ! I was in the JW Org. for 26 years. I had a wake up call when this Org. changed "the generation" scripture "theory" , the Blood issue ( incorporating the use of Blood fractions), and when I discovered that they have a history in freemasonry. I couldn't sleep well for months because of the trauma It caused me. I realized how I was manipulated and used in promoting and enriching men : the so called "Governing Body" members of this Org. What made me angrier was the facts that so many of my spiritual Brothers and sisters have died from refusing Blood transfusions and many have spent or are spending endless years in prison for refusing military service or alternative military service. It disgusts me to see such destructive unchristian behavior. I was a slave and now I am free through Christ. The only way towards true Freedom and salvation Is by reading the Bible. After I read Ray Franz's book " Crisis of Conscience", I threw my self into the gospel and did research on line(using Bible commentaries From different scholars) . It was liberating!

My mom is an ex-JW and I'm helping her sort out and correct the false beliefs she got from them. Your video on the trinity is amazing, and was one of my key sources in talking that out with her. She really seems to have accepted Jesus as God and the trinity as a whole! The final epiphany that did it was the realization that a perfectly and infinitely loving, just, and good God wouldn't ask one of his creation to sacrifice himself for everyone else, anymore than she would sacrifice me to save my sister. But now we've moved on to their ideas of heaven, paradise earth, the 144,000, annihilation, etc. and I'm having a lot harder time in my research. We stood out in front of their JW convention holding up signs with the Scripture of Jesus saying that Before Abraham I AM, as well as God's I AM statement in The OT.
Year after year we were out there with different Scripture signs. We had great zeal as we went up to their cars. I think our zeal and how seriously we took them and wanting them to come to the truth spoke to them, also. God was sending forth His Words with power.
It was later that I learned of one of them, through my Pastor knowing him. He had been a JW, but he told my Pastor that Scripture signs showing that Jesus was I AM, being held by people outside the JW convention had changed his beliefs. He had become a Christian. He also hosted a group for others who had become Christians who were JWs. He told my Pastor how hard it was for those who had been JWs to come out from so many of their beliefs, so he was hosting a support group for them.
It was so wonderful to know of one person God had used our efforts, holding up pertinent Scriptures signs, who had been saved.
There were many thousands of them at those conventions. God knows if others were saved, or helped to be saved because several of us were making an effort to reach them. They eventually moved their convention to another city.

The KJV is the 'I am' fiasco. There is no 'I am'.
'Before Abraham was I am' is not even grammatically correct.
That is why some translations put it correctly.
'Before Abraham existed I have been, or I was or I existed'
The topic was Jesus' existence before Abraham. There was nothing spoken about any name.

By true Jesus, I mean the one of the Bible - not the one of Mormonism who is the brother of the devil nor the Jehovah’s Witness Jesus who is Michael the Archangel and certainly not the one of the New Age Movement who is simply a man in tune with the divine consciousness.
The Jesus of the Bible is prayed to (Acts 7:55-60; Psalm 116:4 and Zech. 13:9 with 1 Cor. 1:1-2).

If you are a Christian, then you will be able to pray to Jesus - not just through. You will be able to worship Jesus equally with the Father. I met a girl on a cruise that was there with members of her JW organization. When she was wondering around by herself she talked to me and we hung out just like any new acquaintance that you would meet, however, when I saw her with the ladies from her group, she pretended that she didn't know me and wouldn't talk to me with the exception of a polite hello as I passed her in the hall. I found it to be odd, confusing, and a little bit offensive. Now I understand why.

It doesn't matter. JW's don't see Russel as the second coming of Christ. They have progressed in knowledge a long way since Russel. They heeded the call to get out of Babylon the Great. Removing pagan celebrations from true worship and increasing bible understanding.

another issue not discussed here is other languages than english they allow other versions of the Lord's name , including but not limited to "Yaweh, Adonai , etc." for a group so proud about using the correct form of God's name they regularly allow their groups in other nations to not only use varient spellings and pronounciations, but also other names for God.. This could be used in a dialogue with JW members that givent organizations pride over using the "correct" name of God they quite frequently allow members of other nations to use other forms of the name as well as other names entirely.

Interesting thought you made. JWs call "jehovah" a "misspelled & mispronounced" name for God, they even call it a "blunder". "Yahweh . .. is admittedly superior to Jehovah. *'The wrong spelling Jehovah* occurs since about 1100' and then it offers its arguments in favor of Yahweh as the correct and original pronunciation." - Let Your Name Be Sanctified, Jehovah's Witnesses, p 16-20
AID TO BIBLE UNDERSTANDING 1971 Watchtower and Bible Tract Society p884-885 - literature elaborates as to its Catholic origin in 1270:
By combining the vowel signs of 'Adho.nay and 'Elo.him' with the four consonants of the Tetragrammaton the pronunciations Yeho.wah' and Yehowih' were formed. The first of these provided the basis for the Latinized form "Jehova(h)." The first recorded use of this form dates from the thirteenth century C.E. Raymundus Martini, a Spanish monk of the Dominican Order, used it in his book Pugeo Fidei of the year 1270. *Hebrew scholars generally favor "Yahweh" as the most likely pronunciation.*
"jehovah" = misspelled, mispronounced name for God! A false name.
The only way to get rid of a false name for God is to quit using it.
They have admitted that the use of the name Jehovah was a "blunder." See JWs own Byington Bible in Living English, published by WBTS (1971ish), page 7, on your WT Library CD (this is in the intro so is conveniently been left off the JW dot Org website). (thanks Lee)
*"As to the Old Testament name of God, certainly the spelling and pronunciation "Jehovah" were originally a blunder."*
God wants his name to be known as a "blunder'? Seriously?
JW produced literature calls it wrong, misspelled, mispronounced and a blunder, seriously a "blunder"!!!

No where in the BIBLE does it say that the name of PERSONAL NAME OF GOD Would be Lost ? ? ? The COMPLETE NAME OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD WAS Found in CAVE 4 SCROLL 70 OF THE DEAD SEA SCROLLS . The TETRAGRAMMATON YHWH , AND THE 3 ANCIENT GREEK VOWELS AOI ? ? COMBINED gives you YAHOWIH or the dual name JAHOVIH OR THE VARIENT JEHOVAH ? ? ? Just as JEHOVAH performed a miracle at the tower of BABEL WITH COMPLETE NEW LANGUAGES ? ? NOT EVERY BODY CAN PRONOUNCE WORDS EXACTLY AS ALL LANGUAGES CHANGE OVER TIME ? ?

It proves even more to me that Jesus is who he says he is, and that he is the only way. All the world’s religions try to take out or distort Jesus in some form or fashion. Satan tries to trick man into thinking they don’t need Jesus to be saved. Great video and teaching!
