Mike Winger I think my favorite go to question is who raised Jesus from the dead. The answer is obviously "Jehovah" for the JW. Then I say something along the lines of the Bible agrees with you, but also says Jesus raised Himself from the dead. They will think your a dork of course. Then I show them John 2:19 and the context around it. "Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”". Which takes a big poke at 2 of their doctrines since they also believe He wasn't raised bodily, but was kind of given a temporary body. And if they ask "How can God die!?". I'll take them to Rev 1:8 Which states who the Alpha and Omega is, the Almighty. So Jehovah, not the "mighty god". Then Rev 1:17 & 18 "...“Stop being afraid! I am the first and the last, the living one. I was dead-but look!-I am alive forever and ever!...". And if they say the First and the Last is different Rev 22:13 says otherwise. JW website says essentially Jesus couldn't have meant that since it says God raised Him, then directly says the Bible never states that He would raise Himself. :) I subbed btw, good stuff brother!

There are many ways to approach this but the bible is the final authority for all JW's regardless of how deeply entrenched the doctrine might be for those strangled by the weed Christians ok?
Hi Mike. I want to thank you so much for this teaching, I have watched again and again for months. Finally they knocked at my door. My son answered and said to them... "my mum wants to talk to you". I met with them last week!! I focused on the deity of Jesus Christ.. using the scripture you gave us here. I controlled the discussion and kept coming back to the scriptures. I then showed them Col:1 . I used their publications all the way through. Showed them the original greek. Asked the question about the word "other". First they denied that it was added (even though it was plain to see. Then they said it was only added to understand the scripture and it made no difference to the meaning. Wow!! That wall you spoke about was astonishing. I ended with Ray Comforts question "I have 3 minutes to live what can I do to be saved?" They danced around the question verbally. Then they asked me what I would say. The Holy Spirit just took my lips and I repeated scripture after scripture. Mike they heard and I leave the rest tpo the Holy Spirt that the seed of the word is generated in them. Two lovely ladies and we parted amicably. Thank you Yvett , Northampton, UK

I was 14 when we left. Im 35 now and still struggling with the trinity. The brainwashing is real, dangerous and scary. Im a active bible reader and church member but still struggle with Christmas and blood transfusion. This is real. Please pray for these mislead people.
You're struggling with the trinity because it's not mentioned in the Bible. The Father, the son and the Holy Ghost are titles, titles of who? Of Jesus. Jesus was God in the flesh.
If Jesus is God incarnate, who did Jesus pray to? himself?. When tempted by the devil and offered all the kingdoms of the world if he is God wouldn't he already own all the universe? Wouldnt it be silly to offer God something so small as kingdoms of earth when he own the whole universe??? Can you sit at your own right hand?
Your lessons are spot on! For over 50 years of my life, I thought I knew Christ, and served faithfully as a JW. I loved the Bible and read it and studied it until I realised not one scholar of Greek or Hebrew respected the New World translation. So I got many respected translations and started to learn. Slowly I found people like James White and the late Walter Martin, who spoke with real depth of scriptural understanding. Then I did the unthinkable to a JW, I prayed to Jesus and asked him to either forgive me for not recognizing him as deity and open my heart and eyes, or give more faith in “God’s Organization”. Well, my eyes opened, my heart opened and the real Jesus showed up in my life. So do not give up, we are out here and we are spiritually abused and broken, we need to come to Christ for healing and for the joy of the freedom of the sons of God we were promised by the Watchtower but never had.

what did Jesus say to direct prayers to? Himself? How did he teach us to pray? Matthew 6:6,9 the Father! Psalms65:2. Who did Jesus pray to? Matthew 26:39, 42. Prayer is worship and only directed to Jehovah God Luke 4:8; 6:12 mistake people make is JW make up rules. Please read your Bible.
Peggyann, hello. There is a lady I want to help out of JW. She is 67 and been jw for 40 years. She went to Baptist church as a child and was molested by the preacher. She doesn't want anything to do with it (she says). Says she's been lied to so much. Says she doesn't want to go to heaven. Wants to live on earth forever and believes that is why Jesus died. Doesn't believe there is a hell. She had bad eyesight and difficult to read. Do you have any pointers for me to help her? Thanks

I left Jehovah’s Witnesses at 30, it took until 44 to work through all the garbage in the basement. God literally had to go behind enemy lines and break the chains for me.....All Glory goes to him! I literally was 100% incapable of helping myself. Fortunately after years of loneliness God brought an amazing church into my life, and the caring and patient Body took the time to gently but firmly answer all my questions. Today God is developing a huge Men’s Ministry in our Church, and I am deeply blessed to be a part of that. If you are stuck after leaving, or trying to leave but afraid; pray to God that He will save you. He will! He rejoices when the least of us are saved!
My friend was raised as one and she ha been pressured to not be my friend multiple times. I have listened to TH-cam videos about what I believe and she kind of seemed silently disgusted....like she didnt wanna hear it. So how can i even persuade her to talk to me without losing her friendship?
As a former 3rd generation JW, what worked for me was hearing Christian testimony of how Christ renewed them when I was at the doors. This laid seeds for me. “...by the blood of Jesus and the word of their testimony“ 🤗
Amen, I had a JWs just come over while i was working on my, on saturday of course, and they did take me to a few different scriptures. I tried to stay on the topic christs deity, but something led me to share my testimony to them, but they kept trying to leave. Do JWs believe in fasting??? I shared that with them and they looked a bit in disbelief and didnt say anything.?

Jesus tells us that the same father and God that he has is our father and God. He is God's son. I know what I believe. I don't need a different Bible so that I can believe error. If you are called, he will bring correction to you in this area.

I had a disgruntled attitude toward witnesses to begin with having been raised in it and not liking the control and always having to watch your back to avoid going in the back room with the elders. After leaving I started to read the Bible for myself. I saw that salvation was for "all" not just JW. I felt duped. I started reading the index of the nwt and comparing the scripture to their explanation of it and I saw it didn't match and my confidence in them was shattered. So began my search for truth and I sure found it! I am a born again believer kn Jesus as my savior and I take communion now as Jesus commands us! I have a hope and a future which is in Christ's hands, not a bunch of men!
For all who are obedient. JW are obedient to Jesus' words. (John 3:36) The one who exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; the one who disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him. "Control". You mean like not allowing immorality, or discouraging attitudes that reflect Satan's world?

And women do not have to wear dresses. All are welcome. But if you take it seriously, you will give God your best, and dress appropriately. You said "you can't question any of their interpretations of the bible" Yes. You question as you are learning. That is how you come to realize this is the true congregation. But once you accept it as the truth, no, you would not try to make waves, unless you are haughty. You said "that you have to shun people who leave for disagreeing with their mis interpretations?" How would you treat apostates? And it is not a matter of disagreeing, but a matter of haughtiness and humility.
Thank you, this is the best video I've seen about ministering to JW's! I was a JW for 16 years (and have been out for over 14 years now), and what started making a "crack in the dam" for me was reading their old literature and seeing how much their beliefs have changed over the years. JW's try to excuse the changes as "new light", and even discourage reading their old literature, but the things in the old books were really shocking to me, and started making me doubt that the JW organization could possibly be acceptable to God. Another big thing for me was when I witnessed to Christian coworkers, they didn't put me down, but were willing to be patient and loving in their conversations with me, agreeing with what they could and then bringing up points for me to think about what they disagreed with. Also hearing about their own love for Jesus, and the answered prayers in their lives, really got me thinking. That was when I started opening up to doing my own research online, and then of course my whole JW faith fell apart soon after that. I am so thankful for those loving and gentle Christian friends!!

Thank you so much. Our daughter is engaged to a “non practicing” JW yet, these are his core beliefs. They plan to be married by a JW preacher (not sure how that works. But we are Evangelical Christians and we are praying for his salvation and our daughters return to Jesus as her Savior. If you see, please pray for their salvation. God bless you
Ohhh no if he is wanting to have a JW Elder marry them then he is very much active in his faith. Your daughter needs to ruuuuuun for her life. I know, I married a supposedly non practicing JW. I am still suffering the consequences of that decision. No Christmas, no holidays , no birthday, no weddings if the ceremony is at a Christian church. Everything that I grew up with I had to give up. EVERYTHING. please please tell your daughter to run. She will never be her true self if she marries him.
I’m looking into a few religions but it seems like I’m going in circles here. What’s is the evidence that the trinity exists or the evidence it doesn’t? Why do some Christians celebrate “pagan” holidays that are no where mentioned in the Bible? Why do people create images of Jesus when no one know what he looked like? Is that not a huge sin especially if he’s God?
Just watched this. My whole family except a few are JWs. The Kingdom Hall was my first experience with religion. I would go with my grandmother to Sunday Service , out in service and Bible Study. My mother wasn’t involved with them though( thank God for that). By the time I was 10, I was so influenced by my grandma and aunts and uncles I would look at a cross in disgust. Fast forward a few years and I was invited to a Pentecostal church where my eyes were open to the truth of the gospel and Salvation. The Holy Spirit did a marvelous work in my heart and I was totally transformed. Praise Jesus and the power of the cross. I have tried to witness to my family without any success. I have been praying for them for 40 years now, your instructions was like you are right on the money with their mentality. They know their Bible better than I know mine. So thank you for the wisdom and instructions on how to put a crack in their argument. God Bless you!
@@NickHawaiia Pentecostal church absolutely can worship God in all truth. There’s several forms of worship, calm, meditative, sorrowful, joyful, passionate. Our God is a God of more than just the calm and rational, he’s also the God of those akin to David, who seek to dance and sing with joy to glorify the Lord.
@@abford03 God wants us to worship him with peace and spirit and joy. My father was a Pentecostal. They don’t have the truth. This can be seen by their teachings and by their fruits. Pentecostals I know are very much a part of this world as well. Which disqualifies them from true Christianity.
Just had 2 at my door 2 days ago. I was courteous, respectful then went to my go to scriptures. I first ask them if Jesus is Jehovah? Of coarse they say no, they will want to give you a scripture describing Jesus as the "son'', that is okay, let them. Then ask them to open their book (I refuse to call it Bible) to Isiah 44: 6 This is what Jehovah says,The King of Israel and his Repurchaser, Jehovah of armies: ‘I am the first and I am the last. There is no God but me........Next get them to tell you who the 1st and the last is, they will say "Jehovah" .......then reiterate that it says "there is no God but me", they will agree.......now comes the closer. Turn to (again in their book) to Revelation 2: 8 “And to the angel of the congregation in Smyrʹna write: These are the things that he says, ‘the First and the Last,’ who became dead and came to life again:.........During the moment of silence ask them when Jehovah became dead and came to life again? At this point they will usually flee as the darkness does not like the light, but the seed has been sown and it is the power of Gods word that saves and does not return void.

In Isaiah 44:6, Jehovah rightly describes his own position as the one and only almighty God, saying: “I am the first and I am the last, and besides me there is no God.” When Jesus presents himself by the title “the First and the Last,” he is not claiming equality with Jehovah, the Grand Creator. He is using a title properly bestowed on him by God. In Isaiah, Jehovah was making a statement about His unique position as the true God. He is God eternal, and besides him there is indeed no God. (1 Timothy 1:17) In Revelation, Jesus is talking about his bestowed title, calling attention to his unique resurrection. 3 Jesus was indeed “the First” human to be resurrected to immortal spirit life. (Colossians 1:18) Moreover, he is “the Last” to be so resurrected by Jehovah personally.

Thank you for this video. I'm an exjw as well. I always keep in mind that active JW's are victims of a cult, they just don't know it. So compassion for these people is important. My parents and other family are still in it and actively shunning me. Thanks for your tips!
Most of these folks knocking on doors are just the sweetest, kindest most well meaning people I have met. Our Lord is truly a finder of lost sheep, and I believe we can put our utmost faith in the Highest for when He finds a true seeker, that they will indeed find Him! I would say that when speaking to a Jehovah's Witness, I try to remember my aim- sow the seed and let God give the increase!
Sydney Blankenship I understand how you’re feeling about me. But as for where I am now... I’m in a much better place in life. Being able to use your own mind is a wonderful thing. I am curious though, if you’re a Jehovah’s Witness and so young, why are you watching and commenting on a video such as this and engaging an ex-jw. I know for a fact that they advise you in the watchtower magazines and other publications not to do that. I’m glad that you’re watching videos such as this and encourage you to continue. We should be questioning everything everyday, not being told what we have to think and what we have to believe. And calling someone pathetic is not very Christ like. I’m sure your elders would not be happy with you if they found out you’re dabbling in apostate materials. I don’t lie about the organization, anything I say is proven facts.

Well I just had some nice ladies at my door and to be honest I have tried to prepare myself for these moments but I have a very bad memory and not at all great in debates like these. I just turned the tables on them and said that I really didn't think they were saved, that I thought they were greatly deceived , and urged them to seek the truth about what and why they believe what they believe. I felt the Holy Spirit rise up in me through this, and I do believe I came across as genuine, and maybe I managed to sow a seed of doubt in their minds.

Bravo! Excellent insights! JW Survivor here. Grew up as one. In my mid-teen years, relatives brought me books, priests, and servants from church to save me. Nothing worked until they found an ex-JW who spoke their jargon and was able to have an informed conversation about the scripture. 30 minutes into our conversation, I knew I'd leave JW, because the first "brick" had already been pulled. Over the years I've accepted that the "Christian World" and the church are never perfect, but it was up to me to draw the boundaries of my relationship with the church and I was free to critique and reflect. I feel that now I have a deeper relationship with God, which is based on Love and Forgiveness.
Survivor. Could u please share your doctrines? I've got a female friend in JW that I'm spending time to witness to. She's open minded and I'm hitting a spot but I can't seem to break through. I believe I can get somewhere if I could research on their doctrine
For the first 4 years I lived here I have had very sweet Jehovah witnesses park across the street from my house probably 1 to 2 times a month then they would go walk around... God put something on my heart to help. After 3 hours of taking notes and researching the devil started putting thoughts in my head like you’re wasting your time, they will never listen, your going to make a fool out of you and God... BUT I did everything you said, I wrote down all the prophecies in my note app then waited for them to come. I was able to share the first two when they advised of an appointment they had to attend, however, promising to return. To my surprise a few months later one of the two came back with a church elder. I ran and got my notes then started off with my third and fourth piece of proof. The elder was much more forceful to lead me in a different direction. I was happy to listen and waiting for my turn. After I presented the fourth piece she threw her hands in the air and said, you’re not going to change my mind about my beliefs. I said, thats the Holy Spirits job not mine, we’re just talking. She paused then said they had to go but promised to return. It’s been one year and they haven’t even walked down the block. My husband and neighbors were shocked. So keep up the good work, your advice is working! Praise Jesus 🙌🏻
Speaking as a “born in” jw. You have great points and focusing on one thing is the way to go. Escaping is a slow process, help the person see a doctrinal issue then let them sit in the hell that being a jw is socially and culturally and that’s the recipe to getting out, Thank you Mike! 😀

Mike, you are spot on. I grew up a JW and left the religion 27 years ago. It took most of those years to retain my mind and learn the real truth. I found Jesus and there has been no looking back. God bless you brother!
One of the saddest things Ive ever heard : Ive had more than one JW tell me, "if Watchtower is wrong than I don't want to be right. I will die believing this no matter what it leads to in the end!"
That it what I think about with most people I talk to. When we are evangelizing we are changing everything they believe twisting it right as Pastor is saying. And it is what they have built there life on. That’s why we must do it gently and with empathy considering what it is doing to there whole outlook on working out there salvation and bering there cross for Jesus Christ.
What you said about 8:40 is so true. You don't have time to study the deeper things as a JW. Or test out your faith. When I posed some serious questions to my father (a JW elder) about 607bce and 1914 he said he simply doesn't have time to look into it. I had to quit meetings when I started to wake up to have time to actually really look into stuff. So glad I did!!
Thank you for having compassion for JWs. My sister is the nicest person you could ever imagine, and would give her last dollar to a stranger, but she is a JW and is impossible to talk to .
If talking to her isn’t working try asking questions. Ask her to research a subject using Watchtower publications or even better find articles where they use eclipses (...). They like to take quotes or scripture out of context to support a teaching but when you research that source it’s the opposite. One example, the Trinity brochure where they quote the Imperial Bible dictionary on the subject of the cross. They fail to include what follows the eclipses and it debunks their whole teaching. Maybe it might work. I’ve heard many JW’s leave the organization when they research their own publications and find they’ve been misled.

My best friend is a Jehovah witness and we have been friends since middle school , and I have always respected her beliefs , I am a Christian , I have always observed her passion for God and it’s so awesome , that sometimes I wish I could be dedicated to God like she is , or like they are , it’s just sad they spending it with wrong knowledge but thats all they know ! But everything you mention is true , we need to understand them !

Jesus loves you Elizabeth. If you were the only person alive. Jesus would go to the cross to pay in full the penalty for your sins. The Love of Jesus is a doorway opening leading to ever increasing light. Religions of man are narrowing and constricting, similar to it being difficult to breathe. My testimony is that when you allow Jesus to infill you with The Holy Spirit, new life begins. All things become new. This is definitely for right now. I pray that today is the day of salvation. Rest in him. Peace that surpasses all understanding and Joy that remains are a couple of things that result when you surrender to Jesus. Praying for you Elizabeth. Also that when you accept Jesus that you pray fervently that Abba will make it known to you what church to go to. The best ones are where the entire Bible is taught from Genesis to Revelation and where there is an overwhelming unmistakable love, acceptance and closeness coming from the teacher and from those all around you. Read the churches from Revelation. Ask God to reveal the right place. As you delight yourself in The Lord, He will give you the desires of your Heart. The Father of Lights will also restore back to you the years that were lost. Blessings and may you receive Jesus' amazing healing love.

Hey Mike, love this video thank you so much! I have a group of Jehovah's Witnesses who have been coming to my door regularly because they believe they will pull me toward their beliefs. As a training Christian chaplain, my heart is to show them the truth. They frequently apologize to me on a regular basis because they are anticipating frustration from me. I feel that spending time in the Lord's word strengthens my faith even when I am reading their own material. Providing the Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures helped not only give me something to use as teaching, but proved to me to me even more that Christ is Lord. Thank you for this!
I appreciate your comments on the part "What's it like" to be a witness, but no one can possibly know unless you where one yourself. It's not just about the theology or twisting the scriptures or how it takes years to think differently. It's like "death" itself when you learn the "truth about the truth" and many do take their own lives when they come out. So trying to reason with one is almost impossible. All I can say is...keep it simple, plant a wee seed, and let it go, give it to Jesus to take care of. Just my thoughts as I was in for 50 years! Thanks for sharing, Blessings!
Hopefully you don't think Jesus Is God. Some people think they left the JW cult because they now believe Jesus Is God and the scriptures do not teach this. Jesus is the son of God, he is the Christ and he has the same God and Father that we have.

@SOG Dre the errors and pitfalls are too numerous to count. I know that we do not agree on the origin of Christ and who he is but we have a lot in common. I don't know how serious and perfect up True Believers theology has to be, but when the truth comes I think they should remain teachable. I believe there is only one God, and I believe Yahshua is the Christ, the son of the Living God. There is a distinction between the son and the father, they are ONE as true believers are ONE. The trinitarians have it wrong , yet so do the apostolic Oneness modalists have it wrong. Yahshua is not the Father that became a baby. God never BECAME A MAN, He was "MANIFEST" in the flesh. God was "IN" Christ reconciling the world to Himself. In heaven there is Yahweh Creator, who alone is God and a spiritual glorified perfect son, the mediator between God and man, THE MAN Yahshua. @SOG Dre keep on studying the truth bro. The mangino that you are speaking about believes a Doctrine called modalism. He believes that the one God that we no is the father became Jesus. He believes that the father made himself a man oh, and that was who Jesus is. He also believes that if you are not baptized in the name of Jesus in a particular manner that it is an incorrect and false baptism. What I believe is a little different. Even though I agree that the father is the only true God and we have that in common, I don't believe God BECAME a baby. I don't see that in scriptures. I see a real 100% baby conceived by the spirit of God and by His power Yah formed a child. God's actual and literal son. This is not part God and part man. This is 100% man. Jesus is a man, still today he is a spiritual MAN. God is not Jesus, God WAS IN JESUS. 2 separate beings. Jesus was a perfect vessel that possessed God he was not God himself but when he spoke he spoke the very words of God because God was in him. I hope you see the difference between God being in an individual fully and possessing them and working through them from how Gino teaches that God the Father became a baby. Keep studying it, so that it is revealed to you. He is teaching a Doctrine called modalism or monarchianism.
Mr. C, if you do not have spiritual understanding that Jesus is God, you are not reading John 1:1-13 and letting the Holy Spirit give you the truth of it. We ARE our word (no one else is it) we are known by our word, we are trusted by our word. Jesus is the WORD of God, therefore Jesus IS God. In Spirit form, He is the WORD/force that did the work of all the ‘words’ spoken by a Spirit God (‘God is spirit, and therefore we are to worship Him in spirit and in truth’). Upon coming to the tangible realm of earth, he was the man of Jesus, the Christ, through whom all Words of God are spoken to His children, us (Jesus said he speaks none of His own words, but those that come from the Father). He is the Christ/Messiah-our Salvation-as we believe in Him, follow His ways and choose Him every day (reject darkness). It’s not really hard to understand, but satan has a stake in twisting man’s doctrines as much as possible to generate confusion, and therefore an inability to realize the Power we have in our true belief and following of the Christ, Jesus of Nazareth (who as a human, manifest/was born the firstborn of many brethren in the world). Before His birth here, he was the part of the Father that made things happen as the Father spoke things into being. After His birth, he lived experientially in a human vessel, all the while still being the mouthpiece-WORD-of the Father. After He arose, He went back to the Father, sat on the Father’s right hand-the hand of works-and continued being the WORD that created things in the spiritual realm (‘mansions,’ etc). While the Father sees us blameless through the veil of blood that Jesus shed for us on the ‘tree,’ and Jesus advocates for us, He sent the Holy Spirit (a piece of the essence of the one true Living God) back to us as Teacher and Comforter until He returns to get His Bride. ‘Trinity’ is simply a label for understanding the breadth of Jesus role in Heaven and on Earth, it should never be a label used to put people down, or argue, or ‘lord’ it over someone who does not understand as we feel we do...we are all at different levels spiritually, but are converging into the Light and Love of the Word of the Father, the ‘man’ who exists within the essence of the one true Living God: Christ Jesus of Nazareth. Hi Mike! Just wanted to say thank you for the work you're doing for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I had an encounter with a Jehovah's witness last week but didn't have time to sit down with them; and boy am I glad I didn't! I didn't understand to the fullest extent just how hard it will be to crack that shell! I asked them to come back this weekend, so hopefully they will, and through diligent study, prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit something might be said through me to at least plant a seed! It saddens me that deeply that these individuals have been led down this path and just pray that somehow God can use a wretched sinner like me to help reach them!
We really were locked in the tower and it's crazy how we didn't even know until we woke up..i appreciate all the compassion you have for the jws and your willingness to help as that is something I'm still learning. ... my husband and i used to add up our time when we were still jws because we never had time for ANYTHING other than jw life..we have 5 kids so it took a ton of time preparing for meetings and service.. Just for Tuesday night meetings I had to start the kids showers by 2 pm.. so 2-6 getting ready, studying and throwing a dinner in there.. then the actual meeting from 7-8:30 not getting home till 9.. so 7 hours focused jw time that one day. Oh and that does not include the extra extra time it took to prepare talks and demonstrations! That would take me at least a week😣 I wasn't that great at it lol

When I got out it took a long time to feel even remotely normal and I am still amazed at how much time there is in a day to do what God is really asking of me and getting freedom through Jesus!! Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for all of your content on this particular topic. I watch a lot of your stuff, but I had an opportunity to share the true gospel of Jesus Christ with someone who is a JW, and I had watched a number of your videos and even purchased the Greek inter-linear book from the watchtower organization as a witnessing tool. We talked for probably 3 hours and the person was very open to listening because I had been equipped with knowledge of the belief system and conversations have their own pitfalls and walls to avoid, and things that are meaningful. They came away from the conversation telling me they were changed, and hadn’t talked to anyone at such a deep and meaningful level in as long as they could remember. They said I had given them a lot to think about. Glory to God. More conversations will be had soon 🙏
Took me 4 years of reading and studying the ESV to unravel the deception and manipulation of the Roman Catholic faith. I lived in shame my whole life until then feeling like I wasn’t good enough. Now, as a born again, bible studying Christian, I feel so loved by Our Father. I was blinded, but now I see!!

I'm thankful to you and many people on TH-cam both former JW's and Christians trying to reach JW's for helping me overcome the brainwashing of the Watchtower. Most JW's love God and want to serve him. They spend allot of time studying the Bible under the guidance of the organization and preparing to try to convince others that they have the truth. It's very difficult to except you were part of a cult. You feel angry and foolish and even angry that God allowed you to be deceived when you were trying earnestly to seek him out. Then the difficult task of relearning and accepting the teachings of the Bible. The Gospel of salvation by faith and being born again is what woke me up. They teach a different Gospel and two classes of Christians. Praise God for his grace and the peace I have through Jesus now that I'm free of the slave master who receives forgiveness of their debts and the benefits of being God's children then beats and chokes their slave's demanding they labor in the fields for the scaps from their table.
as an ex jw I appreciate the kind way of attempting to reach beyond the brainwashing. I wish more did this. If they will ever listen this will get them to listen more than those who are angry or yell or call them cults etc. Most witnesses are good people that are just so brainwashed, isolated, and have been lied to for years or for some their whole life. I recently spent some time talking to a couple JWs that came by - they even sent their backup when they realized I know more about the Bible than your average Joe - and it was very interesting. First, of the 30 minutes or so we were talking, we spent the first 20-25 minutes talking about the word and doctrine we agreed on. I asked them about their congregation, we talked about doctrine of love, original sin, and a mix of OT and NT ideas. The older gentleman of the duo said he grew up Catholic, so we spent some time talking about some of our concerns with the doctrine and history of the Catholic church. Specifically, we talked about the issues with Latin mass and scripture, and gatekeeping in general. I made the point that there should be no gatekeeper between you and your personal relationship with Jesus, and that rules and barriers placed by man have no place in your walk with God. He emphatically agreed, ironically! Then we briefly touched on a few places where our theology diverged in critical ways, but that was only at the end and I asked them to reach out so we could speak again. But what I think was very effective is that I met them with love and a pleasant smile, and I spent a lot of our time talking about what common ground I could that was still scripturally based, so I established a sense of trust with them. I spent almost 30 minutes talking to them about everything we agreed on before I mentioned anything about where we disagreed! I think that had an impact, as they didn't seem to be able to make sense of how I could be saying so much that they agreed with, based on the same scriptures they would cite, but then have such a fundamental divergence in doctrine from them. I asked them to come back so we could talk more, and I'm hoping to be equipped with a bit more substance for them, in terms of challenges to their beliefs. But in short, I think a great approach is: 1. Be kind and demonstrate love - they don't see much kindness door-to-door. 2. Show genuine interest in their thoughts and beliefs, even if just to understand them better. 3. Spend more time agreeing than disagreeing, when you can, in order to establish trust 4. Don't hang your disagreement on technicalities and small details - present the Gospel of Grace and trust the spirit to work
Brother Mike, I have had an elder from JW visiting me for 2 years. He knows my love of God via King James. Yet he keeps coming knowing about these scriptural truths. Jesus Christ is God.
For those who advocate Jesus being God, what would John 14:28 mean? There Jesus said that the father is greater than he(Jesus). So how is it that ? That would mean that God said he is greater than himself????
Paul Kimber How many times in the KJV does Jesus call his God and Father “my God” in Revelation 3:12? ...and this is after his resurrection when he has been exalted in heaven.
@@gregoryholden835 John 10:30 - "I and the Father are one." So you are suggesting that Jesus is contradicting Himself. The trinity is not always fully understood even by Christians. There is God the Father and God the Son (and God the Sprit). Jesus was God is human form; fully human, so of course God the Father was greater than Him. Perhaps it would help to think of God as ice, Jesus as liquid, and the Sprit as vapor - all 3 are water.
I found this site by accident and it is the first time I felt like I had some "Hope" in ministering to Witness. My brothers and their family are all Witnesses and even though they are never mean, I am definitely an outcast because of my Christian beliefs. I have read and listened to so many things that scrambled my brain and gave me no hope or direction on how I can Witness to them. I love them dearly and my hope is someday I will be there as the scales fall away from their eyes. I can't wait to see more of your videos.
You got it , it took me about a year to question the JW organization, an other year of 4 to 6 hours a day studying, then once I was out and convinced the JWs were lying to me, then in a short time I knew the real Jesus Christ and my life changed, you would not believe it, every day for years now have been better and better, practically living in ecstacy . Really knowing my Father and knowing that I can go to him about anything, any time and not be judged, it is just so different than the JW world of FEAR, OBLIGATION, GUILT, and sin, sin, sin and rules. Hey Jane I glad to see you are out and to see you came to Christ. I have heard many leave the watch tower and become harden to religion because of the way the Watchtower has lied.
This is sadly many times the case Eric. There are many that float around aimlessly never willing to trust a Bible teaching again. And many just become atheists, because the Watchtower so indoctrinated them to believe they had 'the truth', that when they find they were lied to by the authors of 'the truth' that it must be there is no 'truth'. These are hard to get to listen to you, because as the saying goes 'fooled me once, shame on you, fooled me twice, shame on me'. And this attitude abounds in many EX JW groups. It's very sad.

JOEY ROTELLA Scripture tells us that Jesus has a God, the same God as the Israelites and the 1st century Christians. In fact, Jesus himself tells us who God is at John 17:3. While praying to the Father he said: "And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." If our Lord Jesus Christ clearly tells us that the Father is the "only true God", then He must be.
Sometimes I just laugh every time I hear something about JW’s beliefs. It’s hilarious but at the same time it’s not because innocent people are being deceived.

I've lived under fear and suspicion as a former Jehovah's witness for so long being free from that is like having the Sun finally shine on my soul I can see the world for the first time through new fresh eyes and finally feel like I just might be good enough for Yahwah. Learning Jehovah is a mis translation was huge for me and lead me to ur video. Thank you for these strategies for I'm going to share with my family in hopes of freeing them. I know the birthday thing my mom always felt they were too strict about there's a scripture in 1st Corinthians I think about eating sacrificial meat from pagan sacrifices and as long as no one mistakes you as pagan, eat! Thank you for the enlightment, I needed to watch this video. There is a Jehova witness church in front of the buiding I live basically and I see them once in a while. I want to share the Truth to Jehova witnesses but I feel I'll just end up getting in an argument and emotional about it. I had observed that truth is not enough, like you said it's cracking inside their deceptive web of corrupted doctrine and most importantly with love. Kingdom Interlinear Translation is kind of pricey on Amazon, but can be found for cheap on eBay. Also, it can be used for free on the JW website and on their app! Great video!
I was a Jehovah's Witness for 25 years, but I left the religion 30 years ago in 1994. I gradually faded away due to feeling worn down and disillusioned with their beliefs. I won't list the reasons why here. After leaving, I didn't explore any other religions. However, I recently discovered that the New World Translation has been altered to fit the Jehovah's Witnesses' doctrine, which left me feeling betrayed. When I learned that Jehovah's name isn't in the New Testament, it became clear to me why. I realized that Jehovah is Jesus. This realization was a profound moment for me. Amazing
(1 Corinthians 8:6) there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him. (John 20:17) Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.’” (John 14:28) You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I am.

What teaching of the Bible caused you to realize Jesus is Jehovah? Certainly not the verses I showed. They show the exact opposite. Where did you _learn_ "the New World Translation has been altered to fit the Jehovah's Witnesses' doctrine" From trinitarian propaganda. Not from independent research. People "fade away" from a lack of love of God, and from neglecting a proper spiritual routine, like Bible reading and prayer. Placing other things as more important in their lives. That is when people view spirituality as a burden, as no one can serve 2 masters. And then as spirituality wanes, and you lose holy spirit, to learn to meld into Satan's world, and adopt his false teachings. Is the organization perfect? No. Can one find reasons to complain. Absolutely. But it is the organization Jesus is using in these last days. John 6:67 So Jesus said to the Twelve: “You do not want to go also, do you?” 68 Simon Peter answered him: “Lord, whom shall we go away to? You have sayings of everlasting life. 69 We have believed and have come to know that you are the Holy One of God.” Jesus stumbled people, but not those who had proper priorities.
Thank you for this video...so helpful!! Quick story - years ago, two JWs came to my door - one was a convert and one had grown up in the church. I showed them the various passages where both God and Jesus call themselves the First and the Last, the Alpha and Omega, and the Beginning and the End. There's one in Isaiah 44, and the first two and last two chapters of Revelation. Ironically, it was the life-long JW who said, "I've never noticed that before!" I was so stunned I didn't know what to say! I still pray for that man.

I really appreciate it that he always brings it back to compassion, love and bringing JW's to the truth. I have a lot of hate for witnesses. I was never one myself, but I was hurt by them when I was younger. I'm trying to give that hate up to God.

This is so informative and super helpful. I’ve been welcoming the JW’s into my home over the past 2 years and I love the God-given opportunity to evangelize to them the REAL truth! Watching your videos has not only inspired me to dig deeper with them but try and tackle just a few convincing points to hopefully see them go home with. I’ve learned so much with your videos. This coupled with Jeff Durbin’s (apologiastudios) TH-cam confrontations with JW’s has been so helpful. I appreciate what you’re doing and encourage you to continue this effort to help evangelicals become better educated in defending the truth and helping to enlighten the JW’s.
I need some help please. If someone can, that would be greatly appreciated. I have woken up and know that this religion is not the truth and my wife and her parents know as well. But I still go and support her as I slowly show her that this isn't the truth. I have been doing this with more so my actions. I have been a far better husband and father since waking up to show her that you can still improve without the help of Watchtower Trac. But I have noticed that she stress when she cant make the meetings or go out in field service. She tell me she feels as if, she is loosing her spirituality. I need help to show her that spirituality is not based on going to the KingdomHall or going out in field service. I need some scriptures that will support what I'm saying and overall some advice on this. Thanks

lebron Taylor JW are so stuck on equating Jehovah with the organization. That's what we were taught! That there HAS to be a one true religion ...and this is the closest one to it...and that's good enough! And you must stick to this one closest true religion because it means your life. Even using Matt 24: 48 as proof that we need to be fed spiritually in the end times. So no matter how flawed the org is...we must stick to it, trust it with no question...obey it. It's Jehovah's. But!!! When Jesus was asked about the signs of the end times JW always skip probably the first and most important sign... Jesus said to look out that you are not mislead! He was warning the apostles! Even they could be mislead! They were personally taught and had a relationship with Jesus! JW always point out how false religion is so obvious...but also ignore how the bible describes Satan. How he is the master at deception, how he disguises himself as an angel of light! In Matt 24 Jesus really expounds on how not to be mislead. He said to even watch out for the chosen ones! They could possibly mislead! And verse 48...the Faithfuland Discreet Slave...even they can be thrown in with the hyprocrites! ( or anyone who claims to be) I know now that the Governing Body have assumed that title and claim that only they now are the Faithful And Discreet Slave. Can't remember what Watchtower it was ( on the website ) it states that Jesus did not appoint an evil slave ...and they DO know they are accountable but they expect to hear a " job well don" from Jesus! Anyways I think this is a good chapter in the bible to use to show there DOESN'T have to be a one true religion and everybody has the right and obligation to make sure of the ones they are relying on to feed and guide them spiritually! She is stressing over an organization that she has not made sure of.

Something like : I know we have always been taught to point out the obvious signs of false religion VS the truth. We have also been taught that Satan is the master at deception and disguises himself as an angel of light...how can he do this? What ways could he disguise himself as truth? How does he keep people from finding out the truth? And after reading Matt 24 ask what Jesus meant by looking out or watching out. Ask if these are reasonable ways of looking out and making sure that the Governing Body are not involved in anything that could get them thrown in with the hyprocrites: confirming bible translation( can even use Watchtowers own kingdom interlinear) verifying quotes from outside sources in publications that support teachings, history, business dealings, investments, memberships, lawsuits and testimony given by elders and Governing Body Member Geoffrey Jackson in a court of law ( Australian Royal Commission) All these things should be a reasonable way of looking into things and making sure! It's all public knowledge and info from Watchtower....not scary apostate driven lies. Just data, fact and testimony. I hope this really gets her thinking!
I want to thank you SO much for making this video! I became a Christian only a couple years ago. I had been dissfellowshipped for over 20 years when I finally got free from the JWs. It is so hard for anyone to understand what it was like if they haven't been through it. You have been given a real gift though of understanding because you are SPOT ON!! I had horrific, traumatic nightmares my entire life from my jw upbringing. Praise Jesus for saving me! So I've recently started preparing to teach a class at my church so people can learn how to share the gospel with JW's. My entire family is still in and I can't reach them but God told me even though I can't reach them, I can raise up people who can. Anyhow, sorry this is so long. Thank you for your clear and well presented presentation. I too, like many others commenting here was a member of the JW gang. I was not a patched up member as in an MS or an Elder etc but I was very much a black and white believer. At the time that I was leaving there were many other difficulties that I was struggling with including two teenagers, a separating marriage, and at the time undiagnosed adhd. I wish now that I had the presence of mind that I have now, however I did not and that resulted in my being shunned by many that were onxe friends and also some family. I am grateful for the time I have left even though I spent 19 years in the organization. I'm now happily free to think and say what I wish. It has not been an easy road since leaving the gang but the light sure does become brighter once you take those shades off. Peace and love to you all.

Very very accurate and insightful. I was born into a Jehovah's witness family. Great work. The cult like feel is a bit mind bending. Submit. Everyone else is wrong. It honestly traumatic in a way. But there is positivity in absolutely everything at the same time. Hopefully I can talk to my family when I'm not getting stoned and drunk. 😲
What really becomes tricky is teaching fellow Christians about how celebrating EASTER & CHRISTMAS isn’t biblical. That Easter and Passover aren’t the same thing. I’ve found this is equivalent to talking to a JW about things.

Hi Mike, just to let you know, that I was witnessing to a Jehovah’s Witness recently on John 12:41. Just to give you context, I’m from Sri Lanka and our mother tongue is Sinhala. In the Sinhala translation of the NWT, John 12:41 says “Isaiah said these things because he say the glory of Jesus and spoke about him”. After I connected Isaiah 6 to this verse, the witness admitted that Jesus is Jehovah and she started to tear up. It was amazing.
@lary Snw This has never ever happened with any JW. Even with this lady this happened only at one part of the conversation. She jumped straight back to trying to witness to me but that moment was so precious. I had been praying for so long for that very moment.

God is addressing Jesus as God in Hebrews 1:8.
I am born in JW. A simple way to get them to think is to ask them when ancient Jerusalem fell. They will say 607. Then ask them why all historians believe ancient Jerusalem fell in 587, not 607. Most likely, they will not have an answer. Then Google when did ancient Jerusalem fall while they are at the door on your cell phone. It will say 586/587. At this point, they will say they will have to do research and get back to you. If they come back, they will likely bring two articles from the 2011 watchtower on this subject. Tell them you will read them. When they come back, show them the footnote that says none of the historians in the article believe that Jerusalem fell in 607. This will have put doubt in their cornerstone belief for the 1914 doctrine. It all falls apart from there. They use the same cuniform tablets for all other dates except 607.

@@kevinfromcanada4379 I am moving slowly on what to believe or not to believe. My main goal is to get my family out of the JW religion and tell as many as possible what works in getting them out. I’m trying to help any exjw cope with this nightmare while dealing with it myself. I understand where you are coming from because, in a way, I used to be like you. Religious trauma syndrome is real, and I will be shunned eventually. I will lose the entire social structure that I had from birth. Perhaps even my wife that still believes the JW teachings. When one is brainwashed from birth it's difficult to know what to think. I have only realized the JW lies for about two years, but it's taken longer to get rid of the indoctrination, and I won't be surprised if some of it is still there. I am very open-minded, and I think if there is a God, he will forgive me given the Circumstances. I have no problem listening to your videos as to understand your point of view..

I was the first in my family to become a Christian but questioned my faith when I arrived at college. Part of me wanted to live hedonistic life like other college students but I didn't want to abandon Christianity if it was true. So I began studying (and haven't stopped) and came to the conviction that Christianity is true. I have not had to experience the pain of being ostracized by family because of my faith, but I know people in my church that have. Religious trauma is real, and is heartbreaking. I hope it will not cause you to reject God altogether, but will make you a careful investigator of truth. Anyways my friend, I pray that God will be gracious to you and will open the eyes of your wife and family as you exit the JW, and that he will guid you in your pursuit of the truth. You should use the loaded language terms like disfellowshipping instead of shunning. I'm trying to escape but I am still triggered easily. When incorrect terminology is used the old programming kicks in and it makes it easier to think that people don't really know what they are talking about. Just a thought.
I was a JW since I was 12 when I lived with a cousin of mine. He introduced me to Christ and put that crack in the dam. I’ve struggled with theology for a while now and called myself everything from pegan, to witch, to agnostic. I then put faith and Christ and he has been a great friend and teacher to me. I thank all people who outreach to us, from all children of the witnesses. Thank you.

Jehovah's witnesses doesn't think there is anything wrong with having a foundation of error. As long as there is "new light" they believe this means that they're doing something that is better than other religions. They're supposedly humble for making improvements. I'm disfellowshipped and my family has shunned me as if I'm under demon influence now that Im christian. They believe I'm rebelling against Jehovah God. My family that isn't baptized is also under the mind control of this false belief that anything that doesn't agree with the teaching of JW is under scrutiny.

They’re not allowed to listen to anyone who is not a JW yet they think they know what Christians believe and make accusations against us. It’s unbelievable the level of ignorance. New light!! God's word has no fault in it. It is perfect in every sense of the word. New light is preached to hide all the flaws amd mistakes they have made. As a former witness of 19 years, I want to clarify a few things; you will not evangelize a witness that comes to your door. It won't happen. The ones you will have an honest conversation with are those who are already falling away. But this is a dangerous time, the vast, overwhelmingly vast majority of ex witnesses become atheists. So if they're already having doubts, it's not just doubts about the organization but about God in general. When I fell away, I hated God. As C.S. Lewis once said, I hated God for not existing. Another thing, keep them on topic and dont debate scripture with them. Guarantee they're better versed in scripture (corrupt as it is) then most people. The best thing to do, is allow them to speak, learn their doctrine, and instead of saying 'no, that's not true, you're taking that out of context', say something like 'that's interesting, I never heard that explained that way. But how do you reconcile it with this?' If you attack one of their doctrines, they will mentally shut down. We were trained to do this! Try not to use their failed prophesies. It's an old argument, and they wont pay any attention to it, because for them their theology is constantly evolving. They already believe that their doctrine is in a state of constant flux, or as they call it 'food at the proper time' . Hope this helps. God bless, and good luck.

I said I hated God, and many years later came to the realization that it wasnt God that I hated, but the flawed and grossly misleading doctrines of the society. You can continue to respond, I really dont mind either way. But please be aware, I keep up with the society and its teachings and have not one single cell in my body that wishes to return. I don’t think the trinity subject is a way to go with JWs. When I woke up this was the last subject I was interested in. Even now I don’t find it interesting to research. What woke me up was the blood doctrine and failed prophecies. 1914,1925,1975 and the time of Babylon destruction in 607 BC .
Pastor Mike ! I give ALL Glory to God for finding you on TH-cam. I have a testimony I am sure you have never heard before and AGAIN , ALL Glory to our Lord Jesus. But that is for another time. I wanted to express in my 40 plus years walk with God, I find you to be humble. A characteristic which is sadly missing these days in leadership. My prayer is you will always maintain that humility because it really is a wonderful attribute given to us by God's Grace. I know you are busy and now that you are in your 40s you may notice the days seem shorter as well as the years...lol. I would like to email you but don't know where to do that. In my younger years I had a heavy burden for JWs and studied everything I could get my hands on PRE-internet. I noticed that they always identified themselves as Christians and always suggested that my version of the Scripture was no different than theirs. What made it a lot easier to talk with them was I spent over two years making notations in their OWN bible. This was back in the day when they claimed their scholars attributed to giving them their version remained anonymous before they were exposed. Now A Days...JWs have gotten much smarter and have distanced themselves from such controversial things like the prophecies,the court examination etc. and have adopted a new term that "the light grows ever brighter" Well that's enough for now. If I could know where to email you so I could talk with you and if it be God's Will, possibly help me with some recent trials that I sense may be critical in God's Eyes. in regards to my walk.- God Bless you brother as you lift the Name of Jesus before all men.

There are a lot of ex witnesses because people dont like to adhere to the high standard of Jehovah. They think they are missing out because they dont get to celebrate birthdays and etc. Oh no, not being able to celebrate birthday parties...how horrible...

I was raised from birth a JW. Even as a little child I felt things were wrong. I had nightmares about all the people being murdered at Armageddon. Teachings confused me. I was pressured into gettimg baptized as a CHILD. I was mistreated by the elders. But I was taught that there HAS to be a " one true religion" and if there HAS to be then this one is " the closest to the true religions compared to all the other ones". I was taught that no one is perfect, we are all human and " as a whole the organization is a good thing". So anyone suffering or confused in the organization just has to keep quiet and " wait on Jehovah to set matters straight" . There is a huge amount of allowance for error or changes...even if it's changes that go back and forth. They are also taught that anything negative is an automatic lie from Satan and his workers. That anyone who leaves is mentally diseased if they have anything negative to say about the organization and they should stay away from them because like a disease they can catch it! When I left it was because I felt like a hypocrite. I sat there and questioned teachings and didn't agree with everything. I could hide it, pretend I was a good JW but Jehovah knew! And my two kids were getting old for baptism age ( 10 and 11) and that terrified me! So I left and spent many years feeling guilt and so forth before I woke up. It was Geoffrey Jackson's testimony and the Australian Royal Commission trial that woke me up! I saw the lies and deception. I saw how I was treated was protocol from an elders manual that is unbeknown to the members. When I looked to what the Watchtower put out about the massive child sexual abuse problem...nothing! No warning! I saw a talk that Stephen Lett put out at a convention where he said it was all " apostate lies" That was it for me. Saw those men in a different light. And I researched everything I ever questioned almost 10 yrs after I left!!! So it's not easy to get to the witnesses! I've been working on my dad. He still talks to me and has been willing to talk a little. I've found you cannot blast them with all that you find out about the organization! You can't come to them with a list of things they are doing wrong or have been involved with. My brother actually did that with me before I left...i didn't even hear what he was saying...it was all crazy talk to me! Don't even remember what he said and it was alot ! The BEST thing to do is ask questions!!! Right in their website in an article it says " why don't you ask JW why they trust their rekigion?". I can't believe they put that out There! That is a GREAT question!!! I know how they will answer...the unity, preaching, using Gods name...those are all visible things. They are taught it's easy to identify false religion and their one true religion. But they ignore the bible when it comes to warning NOT to trust man or put your trust in men! That Satan disguises himself as an angel of light! He is the master at deception! He uses ministers! They use Matt 24 to point out the end time signs but always skip the very first sign Jesus actually warned about...and is probably the most important! He warned to look out or watch out that you are not mislead! A little further in the chapter he says it's possible to even be mislead by the chosen ones! They use verse 48 to prove there will be a Governing Body feeding them spiritually in the end days where it talks about the Faithful And Discreet Slave...and their Governing Body have taken that title and applied it to themselves proving they are the ones to feed Gods people. And there is no real emphasis on what that verse is warning! That even the Faithful And Discreet Slave could be thrown in with the hyprocrites! ( or anyone claiming to be ) I think this warning shows there DOESN'T have to be a one true religion and you CAN'T just put your trust in anybody or one group of men! You need to look out and make sure! So I want to ask JW HOW they look out and make sure of whom they are relying on to feed them spiritually. How they make sure the GB are not involved in anything that could get them thrown in with the hyprocrites. How they make sure they are not following Satan disguised as light. They are not allowed to make sure! That has to be one of the biggest red flags! Just recently in a broadcast a Governing Body Member said " Jehovah and Jesus appointed us, THEY trust us, YOU should too". They are asking for blind trust...which is completely against Jesus warnings! They are asking to go against the bible, against Jesus. In the Nov 2013 Watchtower ( I believe might habe to look that up) it was liking JW with being attacked like modern day Assyrians and that they may receive instruction that doesn't seem sound from a human standpoint....but they must be willing to obey ANY instruction" . This is why I fear for my family and friends still in. They are asking for full trust and obedience despite what the bible teaches. They need to be questioned on how they make sure of whom they are following and if there is anything the organization could be involved in that would show that it will be thrown in with the hyprocrites. Her mother put in a little handbag the Bible pocket saying to her child, be obedient , polite and always look for reading the Scriptures daily. God will always take care of you and kiss her goodbye, and at last stating to her child " God will reunite us." The child had to cook, clean the floors, do the rooms and go under a bed to read the Scriptures. After the war ended the child start making sketches of children and people at the park to support herself. Her mother was released later and got neumonia and one day that she went by recgonized her poor child working in the park and took her home. One day her 12 years old daughter went to make an errant crossed her father's,path who was almost blind and he didn't recognize her little girl. At last, all were reunited by Jehovah and his Christ. Now 40 years was witnessing by Noah to his generation about the Great Flood but they keep not heeding at and today Armageddon is being witness to loyal ones of all nations for salvation, and the puffed pride ones will put their faith in science and institutions like God who create everything is lesser in mightyness to tell us the future of the meek ones you can't watch in the horrible news (Psalm 37:11) Children might be tried in Armageddon and they need to learn NOW that obedience to their parents and others in God's will can be reunited IF Satan's forced them apart. We JW welcome back all those children that walked away because when they become parents and understand the purpose of our Christian hope is GOOD. Let's say Noah's children grew up, married women and kept understanding SURVIVAL IN UNITY passing alive from an old system to a new world...Is it hard for you to understand God's will is to save his loyal ones based in Christlike obedience , isn't it ? I will understand if you already took the wrongside denying God's intervention in humankind's affairs, but there is not His will that mighty ones dominate over the masses of mankind just for being puffed with pride. If children make decisions under your own roof how advantages you get to go through Armageddon without good knowledge surviving skills ?

I just spoke with two J.W. people who were outside my apartment building. I asked for confirmation that their organization was formed in the middle 1800's and that they changed the Bible and that they didn't believe in Jesus Christ. The "seasoned" member of the two spoke up right away and said, "Oh, Jesus is in our Bible but we go from the original Scriptures." To that, I responded, "So, what the Christians have rejected as not being worthy of including in their Bible, you're building upon". She stopped dead in her tracks and didn't know what to say. After a pause, I asked, "So you don't believe that Christ is God, right?" She said yes. At that point, I walked away. Speaking to a J.W. is like communicating with someone in a different language. I pray they come around to Christ.
Praying for my sister. She's so brainwashed. She calls me pagan for believing in the trinity. Tells me she prays MY veil is lifted. Tells me nobody but the 144000 is chosen to be with God-- believes she herself is a chosen one. And says even if she isn't a chosen one she will be living on a different planet other than earth because she believes the earth is only ruled by Satan. Tells me God gets angry when we give glory to Jesus because she thinks Jesus is not to be given glory. She believes the kjv Bible is not the correct literature or gospel is not true. Says Jesus is NOT GOD because how can 2 people be 1 person. Disregards the Holy Spirit. Says that I'm on my path to Satan leading me astray from God, has a monotheistic view of God. I'm so scared for our relationship because she's been so mean telling me I'm pagan this, pagan that, might as well just get into catholism. Etc. I'm at a loss what do I do? She won't watch ANY research I've sent her. She believes their Bible is the TRUE correct Bible. I'm send her love for she is my sister. But man. It's hard.
Never stop praying, often it's God who lifts the veil when human reason cannot pierce through. If she is so certain though, you might try asking her about their 1914 doctrine, then you may have an opportunity as the Jw's use the made up date of 607 bce for the destruction of Jerusalem rather than the real date of 587 bce. This doctrine is central to their theology, as without the 607 date their whole chronology of Jesus "choosing" them in 1914 crumbles.

I once had my door knocked on by some JW young men. I seemed to make some head way arguing about never adding or subtracting to the WORD. Then the elders came in and swiftly removed the boys. Since that day my door is past by. I do believe they have a never knock again list. I'll bet if my message was New Age or even satanic I would be a mission field for them but since I confess YESHUA as GOD my house is past by. When i last preached in 2016 they still used paper cards. Your house wouldve had a black and red warning not to visit. However only elders or special pioneers were supposed to visit you.
@lary Snw Why should I take your word for it if your disfellowshipped ex JWs say that it does occur. Disfellowship is a common cult tactic used to control the membership. You step in line or we excommunicate you and lose your family friends and business. Defellowship is pretty much a KGB or Nazi tactic used in cults such as Mormon, SDA, JW, Scientology and Muslims. There should be some class action law suites to recover the damages these satan driven cults caused.

I can’t express how valuable this information is! I was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness. I have been saved by Jesus for 18 years. What the most important thing to remember is a majority of JWs are born in. That means the brainwashing is so deep that you might as well them the sky is blue and they still see it as pink. To them their “truth” is so firm that no matter how truthful you are with them they can’t see it. The best thing to do is to just give them a spark . They will come back to give you an answer to anything you get to make them question. But it becomes like a gnawing deep within... each small stone pulled away is one more to letting the dam release. Learn at least one truth. I just had a JW approach me at the gas pumps. Since our time to dialogue was very brief, my "one truth" was that Jesus Christ IS God. JWs say "Jehovah" "Is the ONLY true God" and that Jesus is "A" God but not "THE" God. (See NWT John 1:1) So I simply ask if Jesus is "A" God is He a TRUE God or a false God? Of course the answer Jesus is a True God. I then point out that there IS indeed only ONE true God and Jesus IS God! Okay big confession here. STUDY WELL because you never know when you will need it! I studied and studied the deity of Christ. My goal is and still is to know Jesus inside and out.(as Mike said that was my one thing to know well) I thought my house had been "x" as a no go to house because of my last talk with a JW about 4 years ago. Well one showed up at my doorstep and I simply lost all knowledge. Talk about a test. I guess you could say I got a pop quiz. I ended up saying I don't see how Micheal the archangel can be Jesus. I told them I believe in the deity of Jesus and I hope one day they will get to know the real Jesus. I then proceed to explain that you can see that Jesus is the Alpha and Omega and the First and Last in the first chapter of revelations and last chapter of revelations. For the JW those titles belong only to Jehovah Himself. AS they were leaving I said, "I feel sorry for you." I felt so defeated. Then Mike puts this video up. smh O'well back to studying. lol

as a former JW I don't see the wrong in staying busy with meetings if don't properly, what would be wrong with learning as much as you can and being with people who love God the same? the problem is once you see your not getting the truth you want to share it with your friends the same when one became a witness. the problem they treat you worst than outsiders.nobody regardless what religion you belong to do not like being tossed aside from people who say they are your friends and supposedly God fearing people
mbt of nj you're right there is nothing inherently wrong with going to multiple meetings during the week. I myself go to church and am involved in multiple mid week Bible studies. The problem is that their activities and search for knowledge is not a true and honest search for the scriptures. Most of the time, they are reading Watchtowers and other books, videos etc, with Bible scriptures every so often (which are often mid-applied to arrive at their unique position). I'll give you an example. I told my JW mom that I read the Bible every day. She said "so do I", and then she confessed "well I mean I read the watchtower and awake every day".

Reading "So What we can do" I think are all good tips. I added a couple to my preparation, prior to witnessing to a JW. Prayer & make sure you are well versed in God's word. I just witnessed to a couple of them yesterday. Since, I know their theology I was familiar with the passages used. They started out with Psalms 37. I shared my beliefs & was never asked if I was affiliated with a church. What was great about this experience was I told them how God answered my prayers & how real God is. They actually listened to me for about 5 minutes. They are coming back to talk about God's kingdom. I love it.

Mike Winger I think my favorite go to question is who raised Jesus from the dead. The answer is obviously "Jehovah" for the JW. Then I say something along the lines of the Bible agrees with you, but also says Jesus raised Himself from the dead. They will think your a dork of course. Then I show them John 2:19 and the context around it. "Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”". Which takes a big poke at 2 of their doctrines since they also believe He wasn't raised bodily, but was kind of given a temporary body. And if they ask "How can God die!?". I'll take them to Rev 1:8 Which states who the Alpha and Omega is, the Almighty. So Jehovah, not the "mighty god". Then Rev 1:17 & 18 "...“Stop being afraid! I am the first and the last, the living one. I was dead-but look!-I am alive forever and ever!...". And if they say the First and the Last is different Rev 22:13 says otherwise. JW website says essentially Jesus couldn't have meant that since it says God raised Him, then directly says the Bible never states that He would raise Himself. :) I subbed btw, good stuff brother!

Hi Mike. I want to thank you so much for this teaching, I have watched again and again for months. Finally they knocked at my door. My son answered and said to them... "my mum wants to talk to you". I met with them last week!! I focused on the deity of Jesus Christ.. using the scripture you gave us here. I controlled the discussion and kept coming back to the scriptures. I then showed them Col:1 . I used their publications all the way through. Showed them the original greek. Asked the question about the word "other". First they denied that it was added (even though it was plain to see. Then they said it was only added to understand the scripture and it made no difference to the meaning. Wow!! That wall you spoke about was astonishing.
I ended with Ray Comforts question "I have 3 minutes to live what can I do to be saved?" They danced around the question verbally. Then they asked me what I would say. The Holy Spirit just took my lips and I repeated scripture after scripture. Mike they heard and I leave the rest tpo the Holy Spirt that the seed of the word is generated in them. Two lovely ladies and we parted amicably. Thank you

I was 14 when we left. Im 35 now and still struggling with the trinity. The brainwashing is real, dangerous and scary. Im a active bible reader and church member but still struggle with Christmas and blood transfusion. This is real. Please pray for these mislead people.

You're struggling with the trinity because it's not mentioned in the Bible. The Father, the son and the Holy Ghost are titles, titles of who? Of Jesus. Jesus was God in the flesh.

Your lessons are spot on! For over 50 years of my life, I thought I knew Christ, and served faithfully as a JW. I loved the Bible and read it and studied it until I realised not one scholar of Greek or Hebrew respected the New World translation. So I got many respected translations and started to learn. Slowly I found people like James White and the late Walter Martin, who spoke with real depth of scriptural understanding. Then I did the unthinkable to a JW, I prayed to Jesus and asked him to either forgive me for not recognizing him as deity and open my heart and eyes, or give more faith in “God’s Organization”. Well, my eyes opened, my heart opened and the real Jesus showed up in my life. So do not give up, we are out here and we are spiritually abused and broken, we need to come to Christ for healing and for the joy of the freedom of the sons of God we were promised by the Watchtower but never had.

Peggyann, hello. There is a lady I want to help out of JW. She is 67 and been jw for 40 years. She went to Baptist church as a child and was molested by the preacher. She doesn't want anything to do with it (she says). Says she's been lied to so much. Says she doesn't want to go to heaven. Wants to live on earth forever and believes that is why Jesus died. Doesn't believe there is a hell. She had bad eyesight and difficult to read. Do you have any pointers for me to help her? Thanks

I left Jehovah’s Witnesses at 30, it took until 44 to work through all the garbage in the basement. God literally had to go behind enemy lines and break the chains for me.....All Glory goes to him! I literally was 100% incapable of helping myself. Fortunately after years of loneliness God brought an amazing church into my life, and the caring and patient Body took the time to gently but firmly answer all my questions. Today God is developing a huge Men’s Ministry in our Church, and I am deeply blessed to be a part of that. If you are stuck after leaving, or trying to leave but afraid; pray to God that He will save you. He will! He rejoices when the least of us are saved!

I tried to stay on the topic christs deity, but something led me to share my testimony to them, but they kept trying to leave. Do JWs believe in fasting??? I shared that with them and they looked a bit in disbelief and didnt say anything.?

I had a disgruntled attitude toward witnesses to begin with having been raised in it and not liking the control and always having to watch your back to avoid going in the back room with the elders. After leaving I started to read the Bible for myself. I saw that salvation was for "all" not just JW. I felt duped. I started reading the index of the nwt and comparing the scripture to their explanation of it and I saw it didn't match and my confidence in them was shattered. So began my search for truth and I sure found it! I am a born again believer kn Jesus as my savior and I take communion now as Jesus commands us! I have a hope and a future which is in Christ's hands, not a bunch of men!

I know a brother who has a beard, and has as long as I knew him. And women do not have to wear dresses. All are welcome. But if you take it seriously, you will give God your best, and dress appropriately.

Thank you, this is the best video I've seen about ministering to JW's! I was a JW for 16 years (and have been out for over 14 years now), and what started making a "crack in the dam" for me was reading their old literature and seeing how much their beliefs have changed over the years. JW's try to excuse the changes as "new light", and even discourage reading their old literature, but the things in the old books were really shocking to me, and started making me doubt that the JW organization could possibly be acceptable to God. Another big thing for me was when I witnessed to Christian coworkers, they didn't put me down, but were willing to be patient and loving in their conversations with me, agreeing with what they could and then bringing up points for me to think about what they disagreed with. Also hearing about their own love for Jesus, and the answered prayers in their lives, really got me thinking. That was when I started opening up to doing my own research online, and then of course my whole JW faith fell apart soon after that. I am so thankful for those loving and gentle Christian friends!!

Ohhh no if he is wanting to have a JW Elder marry them then he is very much active in his faith. Your daughter needs to ruuuuuun for her life. I know, I married a supposedly non practicing JW. I am still suffering the consequences of that decision. No Christmas, no holidays , no birthday, no weddings if the ceremony is at a Christian church. Everything that I grew up with I had to give up. EVERYTHING. please please tell your daughter to run. She will never be her true self if she marries him.

I’m looking into a few religions but it seems like I’m going in circles here. What’s is the evidence that the trinity exists or the evidence it doesn’t? Why do some Christians celebrate “pagan” holidays that are no where mentioned in the Bible? Why do people create images of Jesus when no one know what he looked like? Is that not a huge sin especially if he’s God?

Just watched this. My whole family except a few are JWs. The Kingdom Hall was my first experience with religion. I would go with my grandmother to Sunday Service , out in service and Bible Study. My mother wasn’t involved with them though( thank God for that). By the time I was 10, I was so influenced by my grandma and aunts and uncles I would look at a cross in disgust. Fast forward a few years and I was invited to a Pentecostal church where my eyes were open to the truth of the gospel and Salvation. The Holy Spirit did a marvelous work in my heart and I was totally transformed. Praise Jesus and the power of the cross. I have tried to witness to my family without any success. I have been praying for them for 40 years now, your instructions was like you are right on the money with their mentality. They know their Bible better than I know mine. So thank you for the wisdom and instructions on how to put a crack in their argument. God Bless you!

Just had 2 at my door 2 days ago. I was courteous, respectful then went to my go to scriptures. I first ask them if Jesus is Jehovah? Of coarse they say no, they will want to give you a scripture describing Jesus as the "son'', that is okay, let them. Then ask them to open their book (I refuse to call it Bible) to Isiah 44: 6 This is what Jehovah says,The King of Israel and his Repurchaser, Jehovah of armies: ‘I am the first and I am the last. There is no God but me........Next get them to tell you who the 1st and the last is, they will say "Jehovah" .......then reiterate that it says "there is no God but me", they will agree.......now comes the closer. Turn to (again in their book) to Revelation 2: 8 “And to the angel of the congregation in Smyrʹna write: These are the things that he says, ‘the First and the Last,’ who became dead and came to life again:.........During the moment of silence ask them when Jehovah became dead and came to life again? At this point they will usually flee as the darkness does not like the light, but the seed has been sown and it is the power of Gods word that saves and does not return void.

3 Jesus was indeed “the First” human to be resurrected to immortal spirit life. (Colossians 1:18) Moreover, he is “the Last” to be so resurrected by Jehovah personally.

Thank you for this video. I'm an exjw as well. I always keep in mind that active JW's are victims of a cult, they just don't know it. So compassion for these people is important. My parents and other family are still in it and actively shunning me. Thanks for your tips!
It took me many years to get over the anger and hatred, and Ray Franz was exactly right when he referred to witnesses as 'victims of victims.'
Most of these folks knocking on doors are just the sweetest, kindest most well meaning people I have met. Our Lord is truly a finder of lost sheep, and I believe we can put our utmost faith in the Highest for when He finds a true seeker, that they will indeed find Him! I would say that when speaking to a Jehovah's Witness, I try to remember my aim- sow the seed and let God give the increase!

Well I just had some nice ladies at my door and to be honest I have tried to prepare myself for these moments but I have a very bad memory and not at all great in debates like these. I just turned the tables on them and said that I really didn't think they were saved, that I thought they were greatly deceived , and urged them to seek the truth about what and why they believe what they believe. I felt the Holy Spirit rise up in me through this, and I do believe I came across as genuine, and maybe I managed to sow a seed of doubt in their minds.

Bravo! Excellent insights! JW Survivor here. Grew up as one. In my mid-teen years, relatives brought me books, priests, and servants from church to save me. Nothing worked until they found an ex-JW who spoke their jargon and was able to have an informed conversation about the scripture. 30 minutes into our conversation, I knew I'd leave JW, because the first "brick" had already been pulled. Over the years I've accepted that the "Christian World" and the church are never perfect, but it was up to me to draw the boundaries of my relationship with the church and I was free to critique and reflect. I feel that now I have a deeper relationship with God, which is based on Love and Forgiveness.

For the first 4 years I lived here I have had very sweet Jehovah witnesses park across the street from my house probably 1 to 2 times a month then they would go walk around... God put something on my heart to help. After 3 hours of taking notes and researching the devil started putting thoughts in my head like you’re wasting your time, they will never listen, your going to make a fool out of you and God... BUT I did everything you said, I wrote down all the prophecies in my note app then waited for them to come. I was able to share the first two when they advised of an appointment they had to attend, however, promising to return. To my surprise a few months later one of the two came back with a church elder. I ran and got my notes then started off with my third and fourth piece of proof. The elder was much more forceful to lead me in a different direction. I was happy to listen and waiting for my turn. After I presented the fourth piece she threw her hands in the air and said, you’re not going to change my mind about my beliefs. I said, thats the Holy Spirits job not mine, we’re just talking. She paused then said they had to go but promised to return. It’s been one year and they haven’t even walked down the block. My husband and neighbors were shocked. So keep up the good work, your advice is working! Praise Jesus 🙌🏻

And it is what they have built there life on. What you said about 8:40 is so true. You don't have time to study the deeper things as a JW. Or test out your faith. When I posed some serious questions to my father (a JW elder) about 607bce and 1914 he said he simply doesn't have time to look into it. I had to quit meetings when I started to wake up to have time to actually really look into stuff. So glad I did!!

If talking to her isn’t working try asking questions. Ask her to research a subject using Watchtower publications or even better find articles where they use eclipses (...). They like to take quotes or scripture out of context to support a teaching but when you research that source it’s the opposite. One example, the Trinity brochure where they quote the Imperial Bible dictionary on the subject of the cross. They fail to include what follows the eclipses and it debunks their whole teaching.
Maybe it might work. I’ve heard many JW’s leave the organization when they research their own publications and find they’ve been misled.

My best friend is a Jehovah witness and we have been friends since middle school , and I have always respected her beliefs , I am a Christian , I have always observed her passion for God and it’s so awesome , that sometimes I wish I could be dedicated to God like she is , or like they are , it’s just sad they spending it with wrong knowledge but thats all they know ! Jesus loves you Elizabeth. If you were the only person alive. Jesus would go to the cross to pay in full the penalty for your sins. The Love of Jesus is a doorway opening leading to ever increasing light. Religions of man are narrowing and constricting, similar to it being difficult to breathe.
My testimony is that when you allow Jesus to infill you with The Holy Spirit, new life begins. All things become new. This is definitely for right now. I pray that today is the day of salvation. Rest in him. Peace that surpasses all understanding and Joy that remains are a couple of things that result when you surrender to Jesus.

The best ones are where the entire Bible is taught from Genesis to Revelation and where there is an overwhelming unmistakable love, acceptance and closeness coming from the teacher and from those all around you. Read the churches from Revelation. Ask God to reveal the right place. As you delight yourself in The Lord, He will give you the desires of your Heart. The Father of Lights will also restore back to you the years that were lost.

Hey Mike, love this video thank you so much! I have a group of Jehovah's Witnesses who have been coming to my door regularly because they believe they will pull me toward their beliefs. As a training Christian chaplain, my heart is to show them the truth. They frequently apologize to me on a regular basis because they are anticipating frustration from me. I feel that spending time in the Lord's word strengthens my faith even when I am reading their own material. Providing the Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures helped not only give me something to use as teaching, but proved to me to me even more that Christ is Lord. Thank you for this!

I appreciate your comments on the part "What's it like" to be a witness, but no one can possibly know unless you where one yourself. It's not just about the theology or twisting the scriptures or how it takes years to think differently. It's like "death" itself when you learn the "truth about the truth" and many do take their own lives when they come out. So trying to reason with one is almost impossible. Hopefully you don't think Jesus Is God. Some people think they left the JW cult because they now believe Jesus Is God and the scriptures do not teach this. Jesus is the son of God, he is the Christ and he has the same God and Father that we have.

I don't know how serious and perfect up True Believers theology has to be, but when the truth comes I think they should remain teachable. The trinitarians have it wrong , yet so do the apostolic Oneness modalists have it wrong. Yahshua is not the Father that became a baby. God never BECAME A MAN, He was "MANIFEST" in the flesh. He believes that the father made himself a man oh, and that was who Jesus is. He also believes that if you are not baptized in the name of Jesus in a particular manner that it is an incorrect and false baptism. What I believe is a little different. Even though I agree that the father is the only true God and we have that in common, I don't believe God BECAME a baby. I don't see that in scriptures. I see a real 100% baby conceived by the spirit of God and by His power Yah formed a child. God's actual and literal son. This is not part God and part man. This is 100% man. Jesus is a man, still today he is a spiritual MAN. God is not Jesus, God WAS IN JESUS. 2 separate beings. Jesus was a perfect vessel that possessed God he was not God himself but when he spoke he spoke the very words of God because God was in him. I hope you see the difference between God being in an individual fully and possessing them and working through them from how Gino teaches that God the Father became a baby. Keep studying it, so that it is revealed to you. He is teaching a Doctrine called modalism or monarchianism.
Mr. C, if you do not have spiritual understanding that Jesus is God, you are not reading John 1:1-13 and letting the Holy Spirit give you the truth of it. We ARE our word (no one else is it) we are known by our word, we are trusted by our word. Jesus is the WORD of God, therefore Jesus IS God. In Spirit form, He is the WORD/force that did the work of all the ‘words’ spoken by a Spirit God (‘God is spirit, and therefore we are to worship Him in spirit and in truth’). Upon coming to the tangible realm of earth, he was the man of Jesus, the Christ, through whom all Words of God are spoken to His children, us (Jesus said he speaks none of His own words, but those that come from the Father). He is the Christ/Messiah-our Salvation-as we believe in Him, follow His ways and choose Him every day (reject darkness). It’s not really hard to understand, but satan has a stake in twisting man’s doctrines as much as possible to generate confusion, and therefore an inability to realize the Power we have in our true belief and following of the Christ, Jesus of Nazareth (who as a human, manifest/was born the firstborn of many brethren in the world). Before His birth here, he was the part of the Father that made things happen as the Father spoke things into being. After His birth, he lived experientially in a human vessel, all the while still being the mouthpiece-WORD-of the Father. After He arose, He went back to the Father, sat on the Father’s right hand-the hand of works-and continued being the WORD that created things in the spiritual realm (‘mansions,’ etc). While the Father sees us blameless through the veil of blood that Jesus shed for us on the ‘tree,’ and Jesus advocates for us, He sent the Holy Spirit (a piece of the essence of the one true Living God) back to us as Teacher and Comforter until He returns to get His Bride. ‘Trinity’ is simply a label for understanding the breadth of Jesus role in Heaven and on Earth, it should never be a label used to put people down, or argue, or ‘lord’ it over someone who does not understand as we feel we do...we are all at different levels spiritually, but are converging into the Light and Love of the Word of the Father, the ‘man’ who exists within the essence of the one true Living God: Christ Jesus of Nazareth. Hi Mike! Just wanted to say thank you for the work you're doing for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I had an encounter with a Jehovah's witness last week but didn't have time to sit down with them; and boy am I glad I didn't! I didn't understand to the fullest extent just how hard it will be to crack that shell! I asked them to come back this weekend, so hopefully they will, and through diligent study, prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit something might be said through me to at least plant a seed! It saddens me that deeply that these individuals have been led down this path and just pray that somehow God can use a wretched sinner like me to help reach them!

We really were locked in the tower and it's crazy how we didn't even know until we woke up..i appreciate all the compassion you have for the jws and your willingness to help as that is something I'm still learning. ... my husband and i used to add up our time when we were still jws because we never had time for ANYTHING other than jw life..we have 5 kids so it took a ton of time preparing for meetings and service..
Just for Tuesday night meetings I had to start the kids showers by 2 pm.. so 2-6 getting ready, studying and throwing a dinner in there.. then the actual meeting from 7-8:30 not getting home till 9.. so 7 hours focused jw time that one day. Oh and that does not include the extra extra time it took to prepare talks and demonstrations! That would take me at least a week😣 I wasn't that great at it lol

Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for all of your content on this particular topic. I watch a lot of your stuff, but I had an opportunity to share the true gospel of Jesus Christ with someone who is a JW, and I had watched a number of your videos and even purchased the Greek inter-linear book from the watchtower organization as a witnessing tool. We talked for probably 3 hours and the person was very open to listening because I had been equipped with knowledge of the belief system and conversations have their own pitfalls and walls to avoid, and things that are meaningful. They came away from the conversation telling me they were changed, and hadn’t talked to anyone at such a deep and meaningful level in as long as they could remember. They said I had given them a lot to think about. Glory to God. More conversations will be had soon 🙏
Took me 4 years of reading and studying the ESV to unravel the deception and manipulation of the Roman Catholic faith. I lived in shame my whole life until then feeling like I wasn’t good enough. Do you want to be left behind when The Catching Up (Rapture) happens and there will be almost no chance you and your family will survive? I say this out of LOVE! Accept the invitation. Be Born Again. I'm thankful to you and many people on TH-cam both former JW's and Christians trying to reach JW's for helping me overcome the brainwashing of the Watchtower. Most JW's love God and want to serve him. They spend allot of time studying the Bible under the guidance of the organization and preparing to try to convince others that they have the truth. It's very difficult to except you were part of a cult. You feel angry and foolish and even angry that God allowed you to be deceived when you were trying earnestly to seek him out. Then the difficult task of relearning and accepting the teachings of the Bible. The Gospel of salvation by faith and being born again is what woke me up. They teach a different Gospel and two classes of Christians. Praise God for his grace and the peace I have through Jesus now that I'm free of the slave master who receives forgiveness of their debts and the benefits of being God's children then beats and chokes their slave's demanding they labor in the fields for the scaps from their table.
as an ex jw I appreciate the kind way of attempting to reach beyond the brainwashing. I wish more did this. If they will ever listen this will get them to listen more than those who are angry or yell or call them cults etc. Most witnesses are good people that are just so brainwashed, isolated, and have been lied to for years or for some their whole life. I recently spent some time talking to a couple JWs that came by - they even sent their backup when they realized I know more about the Bible than your average Joe - and it was very interesting. First, of the 30 minutes or so we were talking, we spent the first 20-25 minutes talking about the word and doctrine we agreed on. I asked them about their congregation, we talked about doctrine of love, original sin, and a mix of OT and NT ideas. The older gentleman of the duo said he grew up Catholic, so we spent some time talking about some of our concerns with the doctrine and history of the Catholic church. Specifically, we talked about the issues with Latin mass and scripture, and gatekeeping in general. I made the point that there should be no gatekeeper between you and your personal relationship with Jesus, and that rules and barriers placed by man have no place in your walk with God. He emphatically agreed, ironically! Then we briefly touched on a few places where our theology diverged in critical ways, but that was only at the end and I asked them to reach out so we could speak again.
But what I think was very effective is that I met them with love and a pleasant smile, and I spent a lot of our time talking about what common ground I could that was still scripturally based, so I established a sense of trust with them. I spent almost 30 minutes talking to them about everything we agreed on before I mentioned anything about where we disagreed! I think that had an impact, as they didn't seem to be able to make sense of how I could be saying so much that they agreed with, based on the same scriptures they would cite, but then have such a fundamental divergence in doctrine from them. I asked them to come back so we could talk more, and I'm hoping to be equipped with a bit more substance for them, in terms of challenges to their beliefs.
But in short, I think a great approach is:
1. Be kind and demonstrate love - they don't see much kindness door-to-door.
2. Show genuine interest in their thoughts and beliefs, even if just to understand them better.
3. Spend more time agreeing than disagreeing, when you can, in order to establish trust
4. Don't hang your disagreement on technicalities and small details - present the Gospel of Grace and trust the spirit to work

Brother Mike, I have had an elder from JW visiting me for 2 years. He knows my love of God via King James. Yet he keeps coming knowing about these scriptural truths. Jesus Christ is God.
For those who advocate Jesus being God, what would John 14:28 mean? There Jesus said that the father is greater than he(Jesus). So how is it that ? That would mean that God said he is greater than himself????

@@gregoryholden835 John 10:30 - "I and the Father are one." So you are suggesting that Jesus is contradicting Himself. The trinity is not always fully understood even by Christians. There is God the Father and God the Son (and God the Sprit). Jesus was God is human form; fully human, so of course God the Father was greater than Him. Perhaps it would help to think of God as ice, Jesus as liquid, and the Sprit as vapor - all 3 are water.
I found this site by accident and it is the first time I felt like I had some "Hope" in ministering to Witness. My brothers and their family are all Witnesses and even though they are never mean, I am definitely an outcast because of my Christian beliefs. I have read and listened to so many things that scrambled my brain and gave me no hope or direction on how I can Witness to them. I love them dearly and my hope is someday I will be there as the scales fall away from their eyes. I can't wait to see more of your videos.

You got it , it took me about a year to question the JW organization, an other year of 4 to 6 hours a day studying, then once I was out and convinced the JWs were lying to me, then in a short time I knew the real Jesus Christ and my life changed, you would not believe it, every day for years now have been better and better, practically living in ecstacy . Really knowing my Father and knowing that I can go to him about anything, any time and not be judged, it is just so different than the JW world of FEAR, OBLIGATION, GUILT, and sin, sin, sin and rules. Hey Jane I glad to see you are out and to see you came to Christ. I have heard many leave the watch tower and become harden to religion because of the way the Watchtower has lied.
This is sadly many times the case Eric. There are many that float around aimlessly never willing to trust a Bible teaching again. And many just become atheists, because the Watchtower so indoctrinated them to believe they had 'the truth', that when they find they were lied to by the authors of 'the truth' that it must be there is no 'truth'. These are hard to get to listen to you, because as the saying goes 'fooled me once, shame on you, fooled me twice, shame on me'. And this attitude abounds in many EX JW groups. It's very sad.

Sometimes I just laugh every time I hear something about JW’s beliefs. It’s hilarious but at the same time it’s not because innocent people are being deceived.
Thank you for making the crack in my now previous faith turn into a valley of truth. I've lived under fear and suspicion as a former Jehovah's witness for so long being free from that is like having the Sun finally shine on my soul I can see the world for the first time through new fresh eyes and finally feel like I just might be good enough for Yahwah. Learning Jehovah is a mis translation was huge for me and lead me to ur video. Thank you for these strategies for I'm going to share with my family in hopes of freeing them. I know the birthday thing my mom always felt they were too strict about there's a scripture in 1st Corinthians I think about eating sacrificial meat from pagan sacrifices and as long as no one mistakes you as pagan, eat! Thank you for the enlightment, I needed to watch this video. There is a Jehova witness church in front of the buiding I live basically and I see them once in a while. I want to share the Truth to Jehova witnesses but I feel I'll just end up getting in an argument and emotional about it. I had observed that truth is not enough, like you said it's cracking inside their deceptive web of corrupted doctrine and most importantly with love. This video is very helpful so I can prepare myself to talk to them.

I was a Jehovah's Witness for 25 years, but I left the religion 30 years ago in 1994. I gradually faded away due to feeling worn down and disillusioned with their beliefs. I won't list the reasons why here. After leaving, I didn't explore any other religions. However, I recently discovered that the New World Translation has been altered to fit the Jehovah's Witnesses' doctrine, which left me feeling betrayed. When I learned that Jehovah's name isn't in the New Testament, it became clear to me why. I realized that Jehovah is Jesus. This realization was a profound moment for me. Amazing

People "fade away" from a lack of love of God, and from neglecting a proper spiritual routine, like Bible reading and prayer. Placing other things as more important in their lives. That is when people view spirituality as a burden, as no one can serve 2 masters.
And then as spirituality wanes, and you lose holy spirit, to learn to meld into Satan's world, and adopt his false teachings.
Is the organization perfect? No. Can one find reasons to complain. Absolutely. But it is the organization Jesus is using in these last days.
John 6:67 So Jesus said to the Twelve: “You do not want to go also, do you?” 68 Simon Peter answered him: “Lord, whom shall we go away to? You have sayings of everlasting life. 69 We have believed and have come to know that you are the Holy One of God.”

I showed them the various passages where both God and Jesus call themselves the First and the Last, the Alpha and Omega, and the Beginning and the End. There's one in Isaiah 44, and the first two and last two chapters of Revelation. Ironically, it was the life-long JW who said, "I've never noticed that before!" I was so stunned I didn't know what to say! I still pray for that man.

This is so informative and super helpful. I’ve been welcoming the JW’s into my home over the past 2 years and I love the God-given opportunity to evangelize to them the REAL truth! Watching your videos has not only inspired me to dig deeper with them but try and tackle just a few convincing points to hopefully see them go home with. I’ve learned so much with your videos. This coupled with Jeff Durbin’s (apologiastudios) TH-cam confrontations with JW’s has been so helpful. I need some help please. If someone can, that would be greatly appreciated. I have woken up and know that this religion is not the truth and my wife and her parents know as well. But I still go and support her as I slowly show her that this isn't the truth. I have been doing this with more so my actions. I have been a far better husband and father since waking up to show her that you can still improve without the help of Watchtower Trac. But I have noticed that she stress when she cant make the meetings or go out in field service. She tell me she feels as if, she is loosing her spirituality. I need help to show her that spirituality is not based on going to the KingdomHall or going out in field service. lebron Taylor JW are so stuck on equating Jehovah with the organization. That's what we were taught! That there HAS to be a one true religion ...and this is the closest one to it...and that's good enough! And you must stick to this one closest true religion because it means your life. Even using Matt 24: 48 as proof that we need to be fed spiritually in the end times. So no matter how flawed the org is...we must stick to it, trust it with no question...obey it. It's Jehovah's. But!!! When Jesus was asked about the signs of the end times JW always skip probably the first and most important sign... Jesus said to look out that you are not mislead! He was warning the apostles! Even they could be mislead! They were personally taught and had a relationship with Jesus! JW always point out how false religion is so obvious...but also ignore how the bible describes Satan. How he is the master at deception, how he disguises himself as an angel of light! In Matt 24 Jesus really expounds on how not to be mislead. He said to even watch out for the chosen ones! They could possibly mislead! And verse 48...the Faithfuland Discreet Slave...even they can be thrown in with the hyprocrites! ( or anyone who claims to be) I know now that the Governing Body have assumed that title and claim that only they now are the Faithful And Discreet Slave. Can't remember what Watchtower it was ( on the website ) it states that Jesus did not appoint an evil slave ...and they DO know they are accountable but they expect to hear a " job well don" from Jesus! Anyways I think this is a good chapter in the bible to use to show there DOESN'T have to be a one true religion and everybody has the right and obligation to make sure of the ones they are relying on to feed and guide them spiritually! She is stressing over an organization that she has not made sure of.

lebron Taylor make sure and try to put it in question form...make her come up with the answers! Get her to think ! Something like : I know we have always been taught to point out the obvious signs of false religion VS the truth. We have also been taught that Satan is the master at deception and disguises himself as an angel of light...how can he do this? What ways could he disguise himself as truth? How does he keep people from finding out the truth? And after reading Matt 24 ask what Jesus meant by looking out or watching out. Ask if these are reasonable ways of looking out and making sure that the Governing Body are not involved in anything that could get them thrown in with the hyprocrites: confirming bible translation( can even use Watchtowers own kingdom interlinear) verifying quotes from outside sources in publications that support teachings, history, business dealings, investments, memberships, lawsuits and testimony given by elders and Governing Body Member Geoffrey Jackson in a court of law ( Australian Royal Commission) All these things should be a reasonable way of looking into things and making sure! It's all public knowledge and info from Watchtower....not scary apostate driven lies. Just data, fact and testimony. I hope this really gets her thinking!

I want to thank you SO much for making this video! I became a Christian only a couple years ago. I had been dissfellowshipped for over 20 years when I finally got free from the JWs. It is so hard for anyone to understand what it was like if they haven't been through it. You have been given a real gift though of understanding because you are SPOT ON!! I had horrific, traumatic nightmares my entire life from my jw upbringing. Praise Jesus for saving me! So I've recently started preparing to teach a class at my church so people can learn how to share the gospel with JW's. My entire family is still in and I can't reach them but God told me even though I can't reach them, I can raise up people who can.
Anyhow, sorry this is so long. I really appreciate this video and will definitely be sharing your channel with the people in the group. God bless you and your ministry!

I too, like many others commenting here was a member of the JW gang. I was not a patched up member as in an MS or an Elder etc but I was very much a black and white believer.
At the time that I was leaving there were many other difficulties that I was struggling with including two teenagers, a separating marriage, and at the time undiagnosed adhd.
I wish now that I had the presence of mind that I have now, however I did not and that resulted in my being shunned by many that were onxe friends and also some family.
I am grateful for the time I have left even though I spent 19 years in the organization. I'm now happily free to think and say what I wish.
It has not been an easy road since leaving the gang but the light sure does become brighter once you take those shades off.

What really becomes tricky is teaching fellow Christians about how celebrating EASTER & CHRISTMAS isn’t biblical. That Easter and Passover aren’t the same thing. I’ve found this is equivalent to talking to a JW about things.

Hi Mike, just to let you know, that I was witnessing to a Jehovah’s Witness recently on John 12:41. Just to give you context, I’m from Sri Lanka and our mother tongue is Sinhala. In the Sinhala translation of the NWT, John 12:41 says “Isaiah said these things because he say the glory of Jesus and spoke about him”. After I connected Isaiah 6 to this verse, the witness admitted that Jesus is Jehovah and she started to tear up. It was amazing.

I am born in JW. A simple way to get them to think is to ask them when ancient Jerusalem fell. They will say 607. Then ask them why all historians believe ancient Jerusalem fell in 587, not 607. Most likely, they will not have an answer. Then Google when did ancient Jerusalem fall while they are at the door on your cell phone. It will say 586/587. At this point, they will say they will have to do research and get back to you. If they come back, they will likely bring two articles from the 2011 watchtower on this subject. Tell them you will read them. When they come back, show them the footnote that says none of the historians in the article believe that Jerusalem fell in 607. This will have put doubt in their cornerstone belief for the 1914 doctrine. It all falls apart from there. They use the same cuniform tablets for all other dates except 607.

I’m trying to help any exjw cope with this nightmare while dealing with it myself. I understand where you are coming from because, in a way, I used to be like you. Religious trauma syndrome is real, and I will be shunned eventually. I will lose the entire social structure that I had from birth. Perhaps even my wife that still believes the JW teachings. When one is brainwashed from birth it's difficult to know what to think. I have only realized the JW lies for about two years, but it's taken longer to get rid of the indoctrination, and I won't be surprised if some of it is still there. I am very open-minded, and I think if there is a God, he will forgive me given the Circumstances. I have no problem listening to your videos as to understand your point of view..

I was the first in my family to become a Christian but questioned my faith when I arrived at college. Part of me wanted to live hedonistic life like other college students but I didn't want to abandon Christianity if it was true. So I began studying (and haven't stopped) and came to the conviction that Christianity is true.
I have not had to experience the pain of being ostracized by family because of my faith, but I know people in my church that have. Religious trauma is real, and is heartbreaking. I hope it will not cause you to reject God altogether, but will make you a careful investigator of truth.
Anyways my friend, I pray that God will be gracious to you and will open the eyes of your wife and family as you exit the JW, and that he will guid you in your pursuit of the truth.

You should use the loaded language terms like disfellowshipping instead of shunning. I'm trying to escape but I am still triggered easily. When incorrect terminology is used the old programming kicks in and it makes it easier to think that people don't really know what they are talking about. Just a thought.

Jehovah's witnesses doesn't think there is anything wrong with having a foundation of error. As long as there is "new light" they believe this means that they're doing something that is better than other religions. They're supposedly humble for making improvements. I'm disfellowshipped and my family has shunned me as if I'm under demon influence now that Im christian. They believe I'm rebelling against Jehovah God. My family that isn't baptized is also under the mind control of this false belief that anything that doesn't agree with the teaching of JW is under scrutiny.

New light!! God's word has no fault in it. It is perfect in every sense of the word. New light is preached to hide all the flaws amd mistakes they have made. As a former witness of 19 years, I want to clarify a few things; you will not evangelize a witness that comes to your door. It won't happen. The ones you will have an honest conversation with are those who are already falling away. But this is a dangerous time, the vast, overwhelmingly vast majority of ex witnesses become atheists. So if they're already having doubts, it's not just doubts about the organization but about God in general. When I fell away, I hated God. As C.S. Lewis once said, I hated God for not existing.
Another thing, keep them on topic and dont debate scripture with them. Guarantee they're better versed in scripture (corrupt as it is) then most people.
The best thing to do, is allow them to speak, learn their doctrine, and instead of saying 'no, that's not true, you're taking that out of context', say something like 'that's interesting, I never heard that explained that way. But how do you reconcile it with this?'
If you attack one of their doctrines, they will mentally shut down. We were trained to do this!
Try not to use their failed prophesies. It's an old argument, and they wont pay any attention to it, because for them their theology is constantly evolving. They already believe that their doctrine is in a state of constant flux, or as they call it 'food at the proper time' .

I don’t think the trinity subject is a way to go with JWs. When I woke up this was the last subject I was interested in. Even now I don’t find it interesting to research. What woke me up was the blood doctrine and failed prophecies. 1914,1925,1975 and the time of Babylon destruction in 607 BC .

Pastor Mike ! I give ALL Glory to God for finding you on TH-cam. I have a testimony I am sure you have never heard before and AGAIN , ALL Glory to our Lord Jesus. But that is for another time. I wanted to express in my 40 plus years walk with God, I find you to be humble. A characteristic which is sadly missing these days in leadership. My prayer is you will always maintain that humility because it really is a wonderful attribute given to us by God's Grace. I know you are busy and now that you are in your 40s you may notice the days seem shorter as well as the years...lol. I would like to email you but don't know where to do that. In my younger years I had a heavy burden for JWs and studied everything I could get my hands on PRE-internet. I noticed that they always identified themselves as Christians and always suggested that my version of the Scripture was no different than theirs. What made it a lot easier to talk with them was I spent over two years making notations in their OWN bible. This was back in the day when they claimed their scholars attributed to giving them their version remained anonymous before they were exposed. Now A Days...JWs have gotten much smarter and have distanced themselves from such controversial things like the prophecies,the court examination etc. and have adopted a new term that "the light grows ever brighter" Well that's enough for now. I was raised from birth a JW. Even as a little child I felt things were wrong. I had nightmares about all the people being murdered at Armageddon. Teachings confused me. I was pressured into gettimg baptized as a CHILD. I was mistreated by the elders. But I was taught that there HAS to be a " one true religion" and if there HAS to be then this one is " the closest to the true religions compared to all the other ones". I was taught that no one is perfect, we are all human and " as a whole the organization is a good thing". So anyone suffering or confused in the organization just has to keep quiet and " wait on Jehovah to set matters straight" . There is a huge amount of allowance for error or changes...even if it's changes that go back and forth. They are also taught that anything negative is an automatic lie from Satan and his workers. That anyone who leaves is mentally diseased if they have anything negative to say about the organization and they should stay away from them because like a disease they can catch it! When I left it was because I felt like a hypocrite. I sat there and questioned teachings and didn't agree with everything. I could hide it, pretend I was a good JW but Jehovah knew! And my two kids were getting old for baptism age ( 10 and 11) and that terrified me! So I left and spent many years feeling guilt and so forth before I woke up. It was Geoffrey Jackson's testimony and the Australian Royal Commission trial that woke me up! I saw the lies and deception. I saw how I was treated was protocol from an elders manual that is unbeknown to the members. When I looked to what the Watchtower put out about the massive child sexual abuse problem...nothing! No warning! I saw a talk that Stephen Lett put out at a convention where he said it was all " apostate lies" That was it for me. Saw those men in a different light. And I researched everything I ever questioned almost 10 yrs after I left!!! So it's not easy to get to the witnesses! I've been working on my dad. He still talks to me and has been willing to talk a little. I've found you cannot blast them with all that you find out about the organization! You can't come to them with a list of things they are doing wrong or have been involved with. My brother actually did that with me before I left...i didn't even hear what he was saying...it was all crazy talk to me! Don't even remember what he said and it was alot ! The BEST thing to do is ask questions!!! Right in their website in an article it says " why don't you ask JW why they trust their rekigion?". I can't believe they put that out There! That is a GREAT question!!! I know how they will answer...the unity, preaching, using Gods name...those are all visible things. They are taught it's easy to identify false religion and their one true religion. But they ignore the bible when it comes to warning NOT to trust man or put your trust in men! That Satan disguises himself as an angel of light! He is the master at deception! He uses ministers! They use Matt 24 to point out the end time signs but always skip the very first sign Jesus actually warned about...and is probably the most important! He warned to look out or watch out that you are not mislead! A little further in the chapter he says it's possible to even be mislead by the chosen ones! They use verse 48 to prove there will be a Governing Body feeding them spiritually in the end days where it talks about the Faithful And Discreet Slave...and their Governing Body have taken that title and applied it to themselves proving they are the ones to feed Gods people. And there is no real emphasis on what that verse is warning! That even the Faithful And Discreet Slave could be thrown in with the hyprocrites! ( or anyone claiming to be ) I think this warning shows there DOESN'T have to be a one true religion and you CAN'T just put your trust in anybody or one group of men! You need to look out and make sure! So I want to ask JW HOW they look out and make sure of whom they are relying on to feed them spiritually. How they make sure the GB are not involved in anything that could get them thrown in with the hyprocrites. How they make sure they are not following Satan disguised as light. They are not allowed to make sure! That has to be one of the biggest red flags! Just recently in a broadcast a Governing Body Member said " Jehovah and Jesus appointed us, THEY trust us, YOU should too". They are asking for blind trust...which is completely against Jesus warnings! They are asking to go against the bible, against Jesus. In the Nov 2013 Watchtower ( I believe might habe to look that up) it was liking JW with being attacked like modern day Assyrians and that they may receive instruction that doesn't seem sound from a human standpoint....but they must be willing to obey ANY instruction" . This is why I fear for my family and friends still in. They are asking for full trust and obedience despite what the bible teaches. They need to be questioned on how they make sure of whom they are following and if there is anything the organization could be involved in that would show that it will be thrown in with the hyprocrites. Now 40 years was witnessing by Noah to his generation about the Great Flood but they keep not heeding at and today Armageddon is being witness to loyal ones of all nations for salvation, and the puffed pride ones will put their faith in science and institutions like God who create everything is lesser in mightyness to tell us the future of the meek ones you can't watch in the horrible news (Psalm 37:11)
Children might be tried in Armageddon and they need to learn NOW that obedience to their parents and others in God's will can be reunited IF Satan's forced them apart.

I just spoke with two J.W. people who were outside my apartment building. I asked for confirmation that their organization was formed in the middle 1800's and that they changed the Bible and that they didn't believe in Jesus Christ. The "seasoned" member of the two spoke up right away and said, "Oh, Jesus is in our Bible but we go from the original Scriptures." To that, I responded, "So, what the Christians have rejected as not being worthy of including in their Bible, you're building upon". She stopped dead in her tracks and didn't know what to say. After a pause, I asked, "So you don't believe that Christ is God, right?" She said yes. At that point, I walked away. Speaking to a J.W. is like communicating with someone in a different language. I pray they come around to Christ.
Praying for my sister. She's so brainwashed. She calls me pagan for believing in the trinity. Tells me she prays MY veil is lifted. Tells me nobody but the 144000 is chosen to be with God-- believes she herself is a chosen one. She believes the kjv Bible is not the correct literature or gospel is not true. Says Jesus is NOT GOD because how can 2 people be 1 person. Disregards the Holy Spirit. Says that I'm on my path to Satan leading me astray from God, has a monotheistic view of God. I'm so scared for our relationship because she's been so mean telling me I'm pagan this, pagan that, might as well just get into catholism. Etc. I'm at a loss what do I do? Never stop praying, often it's God who lifts the veil when human reason cannot pierce through. If she is so certain though, you might try asking her about their 1914 doctrine, then you may have an opportunity as the Jw's use the made up date of 607 bce for the destruction of Jerusalem rather than the real date of 587 bce. This doctrine is central to their theology, as without the 607 date their whole chronology of Jesus "choosing" them in 1914 crumbles.
As an ex JW I will tell you it was pure torture. Thank GOD I was not raised as one or I would have been doomed.

I once had my door knocked on by some JW young men. I seemed to make some head way arguing about never adding or subtracting to the WORD. Then the elders came in and swiftly removed the boys. Since that day my door is past by. I do believe they have a never knock again list. I can’t express how valuable this information is! I was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness. I have been saved by Jesus for 18 years. What the most important thing to remember is a majority of JWs are born in. That means the brainwashing is so deep that you might as well them the sky is blue and they still see it as pink. To them their “truth” is so firm that no matter how truthful you are with them they can’t see it. The best thing to do is to just give them a spark . They will come back to give you an answer to anything you get to make them question. But it becomes like a gnawing deep within... each small stone pulled away is one more to letting the dam release. Thank you so much Mike for taking this ministry on... they are such a dedicated people and just want to earn the love and grace that they don’t realize the real Jesus gives willingly.

I just had a JW approach me at the gas pumps. Since our time to dialogue was very brief, my "one truth" was that Jesus Christ IS God.
JWs say "Jehovah" "Is the ONLY true God" and that Jesus is "A" God but not "THE" God. (See NWT John 1:1)
So I simply ask if Jesus is "A" God is He a TRUE God or a false God?
Of course the answer Jesus is a True God.
I then point out that there IS indeed only ONE true God and Jesus IS God!

Okay big confession here. STUDY WELL because you never know when you will need it! I studied and studied the deity of Christ. My goal is and still is to know Jesus inside and out.(as Mike said that was my one thing to know well) I thought my house had been "x" as a no go to house because of my last talk with a JW about 4 years ago. Well one showed up at my doorstep and I simply lost all knowledge. Talk about a test. I guess you could say I got a pop quiz. I ended up saying I don't see how Micheal the archangel can be Jesus. I then said don't think they are bad people, I just think Rutherford and watch tower has sold you a bad set of goods. I told them I believe in the deity of Jesus and I hope one day they will get to know the real Jesus. I then proceed to explain that you can see that Jesus is the Alpha and Omega and the First and Last in the first chapter of revelations and last chapter of revelations. For the JW those titles belong only to Jehovah Himself. AS they were leaving I said, "I feel sorry for you." I felt so defeated. Then Mike puts this video up. smh O'well back to studying. lol
Actually God said to Moses, when he asked "Who shall I say sent me?" I AM THAT I AM. Tell them I AM hath sent you. I love that name since it is always in the present tense no matter when you use it.
@Silvia Gonzalez - That is because ''I AM' was the name God told Moses to use when asked WHO sent him. (Ex. 3:13-15) He wasn't making reference to an action, God was stating that He is "I AM".
Which is why when Jesus said "before Abraham was, I AM" the Jews picked up stones to throw at Him. He was also claiming to be "I AM". They accused Him of blasphemy. What blasphemy? It wasn't because He claimed to exist before Abraham - the Jews would have easily accepted an angel coming down that existed before Abraham. What they resented was that Jesus took on God's name, "I AM", thereby claiming to be God. Which is blasphemy... unless you are God. And Jesus was!

as a former JW I don't see the wrong in staying busy with meetings if don't properly, what would be wrong with learning as much as you can and being with people who love God the same? the problem is once you see your not getting the truth you want to share it with your friends the same when one became a witness. the problem they treat you worst than outsiders.nobody regardless what religion you belong to do not like being tossed aside from people who say they are your friends and supposedly God fearing people
mbt of nj you're right there is nothing inherently wrong with going to multiple meetings during the week. I myself go to church and am involved in multiple mid week Bible studies. The problem is that their activities and search for knowledge is not a true and honest search for the scriptures. Most of the time, they are reading Watchtowers and other books, videos etc, with Bible scriptures every so often (which are often mid-applied to arrive at their unique position). I'll give you an example. I told my JW mom that I read the Bible every day. She said "so do I", and then she confessed "well I mean I read the watchtower and awake every day".

I love you Mike but: I would like to also let people know, JWs don't recognize their old sources. Basically they say its outdated matieral and it doesn't count. A better date to recognize for false prophesy is the "Stay alive until 1975"
Also, it is extremely difficult to make your case using the NWT. They dont believe in grace, or the word believe..they switch it to some kind of works.
My favorite scripture I like to start with is John 2:19, its basically where they have to call Jesus a liar out loud to my face..when they claim to be christians. They will take you to Acts and Romans that say Jehovah and The Holy Spirit raised Him(Jesus)< We know this already. Then they will ask: Are you trying to show me the trinity? I say, "No, why? I am a Christian born again and have not celebrated Xmas for around 6 years due to having revelation from the Lord that it is a pagan festival time and has been dressed up to be Christian feast by the catholic church. I celebrate Hannukah now. Many Christians have woken up to the travesty of c/mas.
Reading "So What we can do" I think are all good tips. I added a couple to my preparation, prior to witnessing to a JW. Prayer & make sure you are well versed in God's word. I just witnessed to a couple of them yesterday. Since, I know their theology I was familiar with the passages used. They started out with Psalms 37. I shared my beliefs & was never asked if I was affiliated with a church. What was great about this experience was I told them how God answered my prayers & how real God is. They actually listened to me for about 5 minutes. They are coming back to talk about God's kingdom. I love it.

Repent of the sins you have committed in your life with all your heart and believe that Jesus took the punishment we rightfully deserve. And you will be saved. @@impeccable2003 I appreciate some of what you said. Yes Jesus gave his life for us, but hell is not something we can avoid if we die. It is the grave, and all in hell will be resurrected, because of what Jesus did for us. Then hell is thrown into the lake of fire, meaning never to come back. Forever gone.
