I drove skidder for a year, but with chains, so much better with chains. If it had chains on he would not be spinning out all the time. He a good operator though with what he had to work with.

Should have dual wide wheels in this kind of mud. I have seen it done. Mostly one wheel was in trouble but the others couln't help.

That's why we see so many dual tire skidders the duals give them a huge edge in the mud

On the cotontop3 channel they have several skidders but their go to workhorse is a Tigercat 635D boogie skidder. It's amazing the amount of wood it will pull as well as the grades it pulls it up. Check 'em out sometime.

Instead of plastic use a dried corn cob! That's some nasty ground. Are you in Blackjack country or simply a wet area? Do you foam fill your tires or do you run liguid stop leak in your tires. We logged on a small scale, we had a little JD dozer, while it had little power it was small enough to go anywhere!

Well that's really messed up the landscape. Landrovers have a powered winch on the front, you get stuck, you get out, hook it round a tree, get back in and it pulls you out, No need for a second vehicle to help you. And you can use them to pick the kids up from school.

+hexonatapeloop Bit heavy to attach to any old tree lol, these are designed to drag timber around in the mud all day.... yea because a LR could even carry 1 tree through this stuff. The only good ones are the Old Series II, III, Defender, rest of them are a bunch of soccer mom, rich person, mall crawlers hehe....
