Crazy to watch this three years later and realize how much you have accomplished in such a short time.
No privets, new boxwood hedges everywhere, West side moon garden, both walks on the West side, chicken coop and so much more. And I didn't even mention the new property! It's absolutely amazing!!!
Get do much pleasure just watching your videos with my morning coffee.

I so need this video now - to give me hope that our boxwood and arborvitae might survive the last two snow storms this month. They all have been weighed down by the snow, and still are!

Hi Miss Laura! How exciting to see the snow almost gone. Hopefully the snow we get this weekend will be the last....Can't blame a girl for dreaming. lol! Is Dexter ok? I was waiting for him to run up to you throughout the whole tour. Everything looks great and I can't wait to see what you dream up, especially in the vegetables garden. Anyhoo, thank you for sharing and have a blessed weekend! ♡♡♡

Thank you for this fun video Laura, I can't wait to see what you do with this!! OMYGOD if I had all this GORGEOUS and open land I would plant Cherry Blossom trees, hydrangeas, roses, gerbera daisies, colorful coleuses, etc., and butterfly gardens everywhere and with that greenhouse, BEAUTIFUL Orchids and all colorful succulents!!

I’m in agreement with so many others.... From looking at the drone shots you don’t have a lot of green grass spots. Keep it as a play area. Babies stay babies for such a short time. Running and playing in that beautiful open grass I guarantee will be a favorite activity!

This is SO exciting! And I'm very surprised how quickly it warmed up out by you. I'm on the Catskills in Upstate NY and we got 2 feet of snow this week and some more today. I can not wait to start planting outside. I have dwarf pines and lilacs and burning bushes among other things that are doing beautifully and popping green everywhere but I'm afraid that if I wait much longer they're not gonna do as well.
Anyway, I'm very excited about all the videos I know are coming from you teaching us all this wonderful stuff! Thank you!

Wow that is a lot of yard to work. And snow, I have never lived in the snow area, I would be completely lost on how to keep a garden during the snow months. It's beautiful though, and living the dream.
btw, I have not seen a gopher since I was a child but I remember my dad used to flood them out with a hose. I don't know how that would work for you, you could trap them if you find the other ends.
I do love your videos, I only just found you recently. You have inspired me to do a small patio water feature with plants as soon as I can find a nice container.
    much love Jb

Someone has probably mentioned this already but if you use a salt-free ice melt, it won't ruin your concrete and has the added benefit of being safer for the environment and animals. I usually buy one marketed for pets because I guess it's bad for dogs to be walking around on the traditional rock salt and licking it off their feet all winter. I'm sure there are other alternatives that you could get in larger quantities (I have a lot less area to cover than you, I live in a townhouse condo! lol). Unfortunately, what I've found around here at pet stores or the supermarket (so probably Home Depot and the like) is pretty pricey in comparison to the regular stuff. But maybe when you add in all your time, paint, effort, etc for the damage control you'll be doing, it's worth it? I don't know...something worth looking into for next year though!

Oh yeah, since you mentioned the roses you cut down, I was wondering if you could someday do a video on care of rose bushes. (After I write this, I'll check to see if you already have.) Someone who lived here before me had a couple rose bushes in the front yard and they look awful. I've just been putting off dealing with them. I actually live in a condo where they do the main landscaping for us and they technically aren't required to touch the stuff owners put in. So the roses just get neglected by everyone! I didn't realize I could cut them down like you did! If you did a little video on how to deal with that, it would be great so I can try to salvage them. Thanks! Always enjoy your videos.

Could you do a video on how to deal with gophers? I have tried traps with no success at all. I have bait but don't like to use them and purchased a device you put on the end of your exhaust on your car then attach a hose and place the hose down the hole with the engine running and it seems to work but it is a hassle in some areas.
