Are the hiking tour, kayak tour and boat tour suitable to take a 2 year old toddler?
🙏Would you please tell me your VERY FAVORITE Luau Out of ALL Islands?
Thank You ❤
I recently visited Hawaii for the 2nd time but it was my first time on Kauai-it's my favorite Island I've visited so far, the other visit was Maui and Molokai. Staying on Kauai's north shore was amazing-great beaches and hiking trails so lush up there and the flora was amazing.
I just purchased your Kauai itinerary guide. My wife and I are making our first trip to Hawaii to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary on April 28. We are really looking forward to this trip. Your travel guides and TH-cam videos have been a very important part of our planning. Thank you very much!
Happy 50th anniversary! Congrats on the big trip for the big occasion. Have a wonderful time and I'm glad you grabbed an itinerary to help with the planning.
Happy 50th!! Have a wonderful time. Hawaii is truly a special place!!
Happy Anniversary! My wife and I went to Kauai on our honeymoon, it is spectacular there. Hanalei town was our favorite town to visit and had our best meal at Lemongrass for the Happy Hour there.
Great video .I m 40 years almost living in Hawaiian islands, the best climate and very peaceful and safety one of the most beautiful on the planet ,no another places in the world 🌎 I m extremely happy living 100%
How is situation in kauai now with the wildfire?
I can’t wait to make a trip there!!!!😊😊😊
I can attest to how helpful your guides are. There was sooooo much information in there but it didn't feel overwhelming. There are great alternatives if you don't want to do a certain thing on that day. It was awesome!! Helped us get so much more out of our vacation.
Thanks so much for sharing! We are glad the guides helped with your trip. thanks for subscribing to our channel also!
The "5 minutes later" is soo TRUE! You guys akamai! Great video!
Limahuli Botanical Gardens were amazing, highly recommended!
we find ourselves visiting it on every trip!
I'm coming in a couple of weeks,
Do I need to bring long sleeves?
Thanks for this info I just got back from Kauai and your video was very helpful.
Glad to hear the video helped! thanks for coming back to comment!
Been there with my entire family December 24, 2008. Had lots of fun memories at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai, HI. We paid almost $8K for the one week which included hotel and buffet meals. The unforgettable luau festival on NYE. It was the best vacation we have.
Well-executed travel video, captures the beauty of the place and shows aspects of local culture. Emotive music❤
My grandparents lived there in the 70’s. Oh to go back. I was five when I first went there.
Fern grotto is my favorite, magical place
I’m going to Kauai in August with my fiancé! Can’t wait. Splitting half on the north shore, half in Poipu. This video came in perfect timing!
perfect timing! splitting your time is a good option! have a great trip!
Awesome stuff 👏🏽👌❤ thanks guys
thanks for watching and the comment!
Love it!! This is one I haven't been to yet
As someone who went there this past summer this seems pretty nice
I ziplined in Koloa and enjoyed the scenery very much while cruising down the lines, Waimea Canyon and Napali Coast were definitely my favorite parts of the island as far as natural sight seeing goes, I'm from AZ and Waimea reminds me of the Grand Canyon.
Visiting in May, can’t wait!
Have a great trip in May!
My boyfriend and I are planning a trip in May and it’s our first time. This is so helpful and so excited!!
Have a great time! See our website for more info on planning your trip.
I will be there in May for 10 days! Can’t wait
have a wonderful trip!
Kauai is great! My highlights were the turtles and seals at Poipu Beach, snorkeling with many turtles and an eagle ray at Koloa Landing, dolphin watching and beautiful cliffs on the Napali Coast tour, more beautiful views on the Awaawapuhi Trail, and the many Nene geese on the Mahaulepu Heritage Trail and the seabirds at Kilauea Wildlife Refuge.
You had an epic trip! As our kids get older, we are looking forward to doing more hiking on Kauai.
Will be there with my wife in Feb, celebrating our 32 yr anniversary! Might have to ck out your itineraries!
Congrats on the anniversary! Good time for whale watching too. You won't regret grabbing an itinerary ;)
My favorite breakfast on Kaua’i is the restaurant at Koke’e State Park. The pancakes with passion fruit and macadamia sauce is fabulous.
that place is a classic. Thanks for sharing!
Just wanted you to know that I saved almost $300 using your recommendation on the Discount Hawaii Car Rental @ the Lihue Airport. Thank you so much!!
Thanks for sharing!!
Hey guys thanks for the info! What about the cottages at Fern grotto in November ?
Notification Gang.
Kauai is my next island to check off
Better start planning.
Going to kauai in Oct for the first time!!
Have a wonderful trip!!
Here with my family for my wife’s 40th birthday. Staying on the south shore. Thanks so much for sharing. I hope you and your family are safe and sound after those fires on Maui.
At sunset go to the lawn in front of the Beach House to see the best sunsets and welcome the wild parrots back to the trees at the restaurant.
I've done Oahu, the Big Island and a day trip to Oahu. Kauai is the place I really want to get to next. Maybe another 4-5 days on Hawai'i and then another 6-7 days on Kauai...
that would be a good number of days. You can see a lot of Kauai in 6 to 7 days.
Hawaii vacation guide is thr best of the best for anyone visiting Hawaii.
Great job Jordan, Erika,Henry Eedie(please correct if I misspelled your baby girl's name).❤️🤗
Thanks so much! Edith (Edie) wasn't offended. Thanks for the recommendation!
❤
Nice! You showed the Menehune Fish Pond. Very underrated view. I enjoyed Limahulu in my visit.
Food wise I recommend the Grove Farmers Market on Saturdays in Lihue and get that white Sugarloaf pineapple..Hamura Saimin and Kauai Beer Co. Are also nextdoor to each other. Love them both
We loved Hamura Saimin. Thanks for sharing those tips!
I love the history of the Menehune Fishpond. All those ancient Hawaiian fishponds are amazing in scale and design.
We will be staying at the sme resort as you did.
have a great trip and thanks for subscribing!
Questions. Love your channel. Purchased your Oahu itinerary. Going to Hawaii on a cruise ship from Vancouver round trip in April. I was wondering if you had any recommendations for beach blankets/mats? We are renting a car on each island, driving around visiting different sights and beaches and would like to keep our towels from the ship for during off instead of sitting on them.
Thanks for grabbing our itinerary! We share Sandy Towels on our Travel Gear page on our website, in the resources section. We haven’t tried them but Malama Mats were recommended to us also.
Came across your channel while searching and immediately liked and subscribed. Very helpful videos. I have a quick question - is it easy to drive in Kauai? I am planning a 2-week trip for my family in summer 2024. We want to revisit Oahu and another island. I am thinking of Kauai. I wonder if the roads in Kauai are easy like in Oahu. Thank you.
Yes, they are in good shape. No freeways like Oahu, just two lane highways.
Love every post from you guys! I am planning to visit O'ahu this June with my teeange son to get him away from his computers and use those 2 free Hawaii airline tickets I got when I signed up for their card last year. Looking for a hotel which has a lazy river and water slides (not Aulani, too expensive for us).
That's a good question on where to stay. Aulani is the only lazy river on the island. Hawaiian Hilton Village has a lot of pools and the Marriott at Ko Olina has a good pool. Sheraton Waikiki has a big pool with waterslides. Turtle Bay too. See our family hotel article here: thehawaiivacationguide.com/where-to-stay-oahu-with-kids/
Kapolei (near Ko Olina) has a good waterpark too! we did it 10 years ago and had a blast.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Thanks HVG, appreciate the info.
Hey guys, thank you so much for your videos! I‘ll visit Hawaii solo in September and I’m thinking back and fourth about booking everything in advance or letting myself be spontaneous. My plan is to meet new people there to do activities together. For that I need to be spontaneous. But on the other hand, September is still a busy month and I’m afraid that I can’t find affordable accommodations when there… What do you think ? ☺️
yes, book the flight, lodging, and rental car before you arrive. Lodging is very expensive. you can check rates a few days out and always cancel and change. September will have spaces available but you don't want to be desperately trying to find a place.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Thank you!!
Turo.. best car rental
Kauai is ts The Garden Island! Maui is the Valley Isle!
Any advice for young couples? Me and my girlfriend are 20 and never been to Hawaii but we just booked tickets for here :)
see our first timer planning tips: thehawaiivacationguide.com/planning-first-trip-to-hawaii/ Be active with hiking Waimea Valley and going out snorkeling on the Napali Coast.
you push tours which i get for commercial purposes but I try to save where I can.
Curiosity, where did the word Grindz come from? It means food? Yes?
good question! I'm not sure. Yes, it means food. It is a pidgin word
I am a subscriber to your guide but had a question. My husband and I will be going to Kauai in September and we were wondering if we should splurge on a Luau. My husband is a meat and potatoes kinda guy and doesn't stray as far as food goes. Would there be something for him to eat at a luau or should we skip it?
My vote is to skip it. We talk about if a luau is worth it for you in this article thehawaiivacationguide.com/best-luaus-hawaii/
We have done the full luau experience before, and it is quite expensive. But I loved the show that they put on. In Kauai, you can opt to just go to the show (no food) for a fraction of the cost. It is put on by Smith Family near Kapa'a (near Wailua Falls). I've been twice to it and have loved it both times. My husband and I will also be there in September to visit, and we plan to go to the Smith Family Luau show yet again, so that is saying something!
Will you update guide for June 2024?
Maybe, we are visiting Kauai soon. We will see if there is new guidance. Things don’t change that fast so 2023 is probably still accurate.
How did you bring your dog? We live O’ahu and have a small lap dog.. would love to bring him…
Inter island travel with a dog is finding an airline that allows them in cabin. I think Hawaiian but check Southwest's policy. there are no rabies restrictions as they are already cleared to be in Hawaii.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide I have my own plane at HNL so that’s the easy part… VRBO has very few pet friendly rentals… welcome any suggestions…
So if we are go in February we definitely should not stay on North shore ?
It is still lovely but higher probability of rain and rough ocean conditions.
Hay im from indonesia
thanks for watching and subscribing from Indonesia!
Baby beach for little ones? Lydgate beach, got it
There is a poipu baby beach, near Koloa Landing and Lydgate. See this article: thehawaiivacationguide.com/best-beaches-on-kauai-for-swimming/
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide thanks, you're the best
What's a good family beach in summer away from crowds in Kauai?
Hi! I work for NewsNation and would like to use some of your video of Kauai, HI in our newscast. Can we get permission to use your video? Thanks!
You can email us details.
You said not to go in June?
June is a good month to visit Kauai as the weather is wonderful, but you may find more crowds. see here for the data: thehawaiivacationguide.com/hawaii-in-june/
hey I just got back from hawaii and dropped a vlog too! would love for you to check it out and leave your thoughts! keep up the great content!
Love your videos! The only thing I don't get is your obsession with the resorts. I would never stay at the Hawaiian resort and look at the stupid Mickey Mouse face.
Hawaii should not be resorts. Never. I used many other sites to find local places to stay that are in touch with the nature. That's why we go to Hawaii in the first place, right?
We like legal vacation rentals too and put them in our where to stay section. Majority of travelers go to resorts. Plus, vacation rentals are highly contentious in Hawaii due to the housing shortage and other factors so resorts are a good place to stay. Try Outrigger properties as they are locally owned.
Walking down a steep bath is bad for the environment? LOL
Coastal erosion has been a problem on the islands
Unlike you guys we have a budget, would be nice if you talked about PRICES!
Thanks for the feedback Mike. We’ll incorporate prices more. Our new Kauai guide video has graphs on hotel prices.
