Such an interesting journey! And a real testament to yourselves and your equipment. As a geological engineer I always love it when geology is featured. Amazing the expanse of the lava flow. I can only imagine what it must have been like when the eruption ocurred! And funny that they related it to naughty children. Thanks for sharing the story. Cheers!
We always appreciate your comments Blaine! What we couldn’t capture on our cameras are the hundreds of crystal clear ponds that formed in the voids. There are some good aerial photographs of the area on-line.
The nisga'a use stories as lessons to teach the children and pass on the laws and traditions. My grandmother used to tell stories like this one at feasts or family gatherings.
It’s great that you got to experience those stories as part of your tradition. It’s something that is lacking in “modern” culture. My grandchildren love to hear stories. Especially ones they have a part in. ❤
@@blainekinsley829 I agree; I have no memory to f my grandparents sharing any sort of stories. Made sure to keep plenty of colorful tales at the ready for my kids- some we’re pretty ridiculous but memorable they’ve told me!!!
