- When I think of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore, my mind immediately thinks of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the larger-than-life action hero who dominated the world of bodybuilding in the late '70s, the box office in the '80s and '90s, and even politics in the '00s. They're both big, bold, and brash. Arnie wore one in End of Days and even had a limited edition made for his third Terminator movie. But more important than that, he even wears them off-camera.

@@Babtou92 In the U.K. this version of the diver was so popular watches of Switzerland held for VVIPs, then they went boutique only. I have one myself, but bought in 2016. Plus now, they’re discontinued & go well over their Rrp on the grey market, still today.

@@richieb6998 I am surprised that the regular offshore diver is selling above retail when you said that it is easy to get one from retail. The last time I checked with AP house, offshore divers are waiting list only

This is a hell of a watch
I think the pitch in his voice has changed, more "proper". Miss the high pitched excitement of his older vids, you knew they were genuine reviews. Either that or he is consciously trying to improve , in which case keep up the good work 🙌

I’m wearing my white and blue AP as I watch this. I’ve loved my watch since the day I got it. I will admit I got mine refurbished so the bezel is slightly off but I love it.
Man offered $200k watch to wear for a week, and enjoys it. Superb story.

I like these watches. The stainless steel version is the Audemars Piguet entry level watch at £16.9K circa 2019 in Watches of Switzerland here in Manchester, UK who are an Authorized Dealer. Of this model came out on 2019 it omits all the upgrades and new tool free straps that was introduced across the Offshore in 2022, the 50th Anniversaries of the Royal Oak. As Malaika from Hodinkee said, who hosted the AP podcast in March or April this year: 1993 - 2023 is 30 years and they introduced about 4 new models. She interviewed the outgoing CEO and the heritage director. She never responds to comments on her socials so I unfollowed her.
Hate this watch. But love Brandon’s content. Here’s my view! And comment!

They're tightened/untightened from the caseback side; the front screw slots are just decoration.

I'm a fan of Brandon, but i disagree with this review. When a watch is too thick, has excessive lug to lug, and over priced... It shouldn't get a pass. If this was another brand, i guarantee it would have been a much harsher video. At the end of the day, AP is embarrassing considering their history/brand heritage.. between movement issues, silly recent releases, and lack of availability with the few desirable models, they don't belong in the trinity.
