Hey Scottius... Glad that you've discovered your moss goldmine in your yard. Check out more videos on how to maintain your existing mosses so that they will thrive. Also, I've written a book, The Magical World of Moss Gardening which is available through my Web site: www.mountainmoss.com. Mosses don't have roots though... instead rhizoids that only serve the purpose of holding the moss colony in place. Enjoy mossin' around... even in the winter. --Mossin' Annie

Hi there Annie. I recently came back from Norway. I brought some moss from my 2ed cousins garden. It was doing good but now its turning brown around the edges and dying. Its in a terrarium and continually moist. Since this moss is from my homeland i would like to keep it alive. Any suggestions?

By now, your moss from Norway has probably croaked. Sorry for such a long delay in responding. I just found your comment. I suspect the problem is that you kept moss "continually moist." Not many moss species want to be soggy. -- Mossin' Annie
