My opinion with helping homemade cinnamon rolls stay "fresh" longer is to not overbake AND frost them while they're still warm... not piping hot but warm... seems to lock in the moisture

Sally’s Baking Addiction is my go-to for the best baked good recipes. Sally is the best!!!❤️Try the white chocolate/cranberry cookies. (I add sliced almonds and almond extract). Papa Booth is the best…..Such a character🤣👍🏻 Thanks for sharing❤️
Freeze the rolls to keep them fresh longer! I don't know how it works on the iced ones, but on the Gozney "Swedish style" ones, freezing them the same day as they're baked and then thawing them in the microwave for just 40 seconds makes them taste like new!

Yes! The heavy cream addition to the cinnamon rolls is incredible! But I’d recommend a smaller dish if you do that so they’re all touching, which helps them stop from drying out :) also, I’m with papa booth- cream cheese frosting ruins cinnamon rolls.

Hi Grace! Have you ever tried the tangzhong/water roux method? It keeps all sorts of breads fresh and soft for longer. If you're not sick of cinnamon rolls by now, you might want to try the "Perfectly Pillowy Cinnamon Rolls" from King Arthur Baking (the recipe says to use the tangzhong while still hot but from my experience, i prefer to let it cool down completely before using it and slightly warm the milk instead. idk, i feel like i have more control that way). I also use tangzhong to make my burger buns and they stay really soft for almost a week, it's great! Anyway, love your vids! You and Papa Booth are so wholesome & it's so heartwarming to watch (especially during these lockdowns)! xx
Its actually the other way around, plain flour will give a denser and cakier bread while bread flour will be light, soft and pillowey. The extra gluten in bread flour gives the dough more strength so when you prove it it has the strength to grow and stretch more. Plus additives/enrichments like butter, eggs and sugar slightly retards the gluten formation, the extra gluten in bread flour counteracts this. When I make cinnamon rolls (or my absolute favourite Chelsea Buns) I always use 60/40 bread/plain but honestly, either is fine, as long as you can eat the result right 🤣 The main thing is that people get stuck in and give it a go
