Oh my goodness. I've been binge watching/making your recipes in my new bread machine. I'm going to have to slow down or I'm going to gain 50 lbs!!! So glad I found your channel!
I have watched almost all of your videos. Your expression on each is as if you were a kid on Christmas morning when you try your creations. Adorable. I have subscribed and look forward to many more helpful videos to come.
This turned out really great. Was short on bread flour so I had to use AP flour instead. Oster bread machines have a higher wattage than most so if anyone has to add additional bake time that's probably why. New subscriber and can't wait to try your other recipes. Thanks.
I tried your recipe.. Used pineapple essence instead of vanilla.. Rest of the measurements ballparked to yours.. Came out very close to the bakery stuff. Thanks for sharing...
I just made some, and it turned out very nice. Perfect consistency. Used the cake setting on the off-brand (Dash) machine I bought from Amazon a few weeks ago. Thanks for sharing. I hope to try more of your recipes soon.
well I just finished the pound cake I put it it's doing his thing in the in the breadmaker but I have let you know that I just now started it so I don't know how it's going to turn out but I'll let you know but it looks like it's doing pretty good I get excited over little things like this when I get my bread machine to do something I think it's so exciting
Hello Mr. Bread Baker! I love your channel! I love that your videos are QUICK and so easy to understand. Question: With your pound cake, can I drop in a few blueberries, in this recipe? Not sure if it would change the integrity of the bread or not. Just wondering if you've tried it! Thank you!!!
I'm going to try this tomorrow I cannot wait I've looked at a couple of your other recipes on your bread machine I've done a couple already and it came out great
@@cherry-annleacock1835 I haven't done it yet but I'm going to do it tomorrow I'm going to do the the pound cake and I'll let you know how it turns out
I did the Cinnamon streusel one from another lady that does recipes of the bread machine and it came out really good so yeah I think that's what you were talking about. Really good
Hi, yes you could but you have to be careful to make sure they are not too large and too wet otherwise it won’t cook through properly. If your using canned pineapple then you may want to add a bit less water
Can you give us some suggestions on the best way to wrap & store to keep everything fresh? My first bread came out perfect. 🥰 Making this recipe today.
Of course Kathleen 😃 for the soft loads of bread like white or wheat bread the key is to make sure that it has completely cooled so there is no moisture when you wrap it. Then either use foil or plastic wrap and wrap it tightly and leave it out room temperature someplace cool and dry. Because there are no preservatives like store bought bread it will usually last a week. For the hard crusty bread like a French loaf the best thing is just drop it in a paper bag and leave it someplace cool and dry room temperature . Same thing with it lasting. Hope this helps!
MrBreadBaker--thank goodness for your videos--just got my cuisinart machine and looking forward to making everything you made/make - thank you so much for your videos-so helpful
Hi Grace, usually I have seen the bread sink when i used a little too much yeast or too much water. So try and be the most careful when you are measuring those two things. Hope this helps
the two best things I found that work the best are with ground flax seeds or vinegar and baking soda which is usually what I use if someone asks for a substitute. It would be 1 teaspoon of baking soda mixed with 1 tablespoon of vinegar
I would try using warm water if you didn’t try that also creamy butter room temp helps as well, I would try that and let me know how it turns out, also what kind of flour did you use?
@@mrbreadbaker368 Thanks. I used all purpose flour and it does taste great. Just the bottom may be a bit harder than I liked the sides a bit darker. How much warm water should I use and does yeast make it any fluffier
I tried this recipe...it turned out pretty good for a 1st try. I think the amount of baking powder is too much. Rule of thumb is 1 tsp per cup of flour. Cake turned out dense and dry. Has anybody tried reducing the baking powder amount? What was the result. But love your other recipes and have subscribed to your channel! Keep up the good work 😊
Did you use bread flour or all pupose flour? Even among the bread flours, some have a very low percentages of protien around 3%, I started using King Arthur Bread Flour 12.75% protien and found that the bread come out much flufflier
I made this yesterday and was a bit disappointed. I used bread flour and the texture was like cornbread. Would you recommend using cake flour or all purpose flour instead Instead of adding ingredients individually. Can you mix all the liquids add them to the pan, Mix all the dry ingredients and add to the pan and then the yeast
Hi, yes definitely! Please use all purpose flour. The best way is to add all the liquid ingredients first then the dry ingredients. Please let me know how it turns out
Pound cake does not require yeast so that is your first mistake. Next the recipe calls for cake flour and is what you should have used. Don't have it, just google it and it will tell you how to make it. Its not just all purpose flour.
This is the one that I can't get right. The top center is literally like pudding when this is done baking. I've tried using the darker setting, I've tried putting it on bake for 10 or 15 minutes, but both of those things make the bottom of the pound cake overdone. I've tried your recipe and two others. I just can't get it to cook right. Anyone else have this problem? It only happens with pound cake!
