- I am Ranking All 3D Bowser final boss battles from Worst to Best. Were looking at every 3D Mario game in this ranking to see which one has the best final boss battle. Maybe I'll look at easiest to hardest at another time but for now it it's to best. Game included are Super Mario 64, Sunshine Galaxy 1 and 2, 3D Land, 3D World and Odyssey.

Now that I think about it, Bowser's size is really inconsistent between games. In some games he's huge but in some he's much smaller
Mario is either high on shrooms or not. hence the size changing
He's a master of magic and often has some other source of power. 64 is probably his "true" size but he can change it easily.
My favorite one has to 3D Land. The music really just raises the stakes, plus all of Bowser's attacks getting way more deadly as the fight goes on. I love the first fake switch because you think "Oh I just have to escape now!" And then Bowser comes back and shoots those super strong fire blasts that destroy the ground. The last part is really good, and I wish it was even longer. Running from Bowser as he chases you using nothing but his own brute force shows how desperate he is to beat Mario.
It's definitely my favorite amongst all of the great Bowser battles

Galaxy 2 is my favorite game out of all of them but the final fight is kinda disappointing. The first part was really good (even though it's just a harder version of the ones before) but the second part was really easy and I beat him in like 10 seconds. But I'll give its merits, it's spectacular looking and the music is one of the best in the entire series.
Also I haven't played Bowser's Fury so I can't rank it
I agree it's 2nd part was disappointing. But at least it functions and is more epic than what Sunshine or 64 has. Those have the worst final Bowser's fights.
My ranking
9. Sunshine - doesn't feel like a final boss
8. SMG2 - The ending was really anticlimactic and easy
7. SM64DS - Its classic but also boring
6. SM64 - Same thing but Bowser is rainbow
5. Bowser's Fury - The boss fight is cool and exhilarating, but also too easy if your stocked with power ups
4. SM3DL - The level design was built greatly and the boss was exhilarating
3. SM3DW - Same as SM3DL but better
2. SMO - While boss fight is just ok, the Bowser part really fixes everything and makes it a perfect ending to the game
1. SMG - The atmosphere, the build up, the fight, the music, all of it was so perfect truly best 3D Mario final boss ever
W list, i would just place SMG2 above SM64
You probably should not judge smg2's boss with the ending alone

The final boss in Odyssey is trash. It’s just the sequence after that that is good
The fight in 3D World is definitely my favorite. There's something about Chasing Bowser up that Tower and avoiding his Cat Clones that really raised the steaks for me. Combine that with the option to play as Peach to make The King Koopa pay for all those kidnappings, and you got an epic and intense Bowser battle. 🐈 🔔
I liked all them but I do think my favorite was Galaxy's or 3D World's

I just love how's the intro work and that's the main reason why your channel is so different from others. Really loving the first vid of 2022 man. For me I love 3D world and 3D land the most because these are not an actual boss fight but traversing through the level when browser is around. Waiting for more creative contents from ya!
I have a awesome redesign idea for the final boss in SMS.
1) the intro is the same, but when you arrive, Bowsjer jr. steals fludd. You'll have a part when you play without fludd like the obstacle courses.
2) you defeat Bowser jr. and you get fludd back.
3) After you done section 2, you'll collect a different nozzle each time. So, there will be 4 stages.
This would be a better boss fight, because
1) you play a little time without fludd
2) you use every nozzle to have a different experience.
In the first 10 seconds I can see with that new camera gotcha, keep up the great work

You’re probably the channel that has vids I am always hyped to watch, and they’re even rewatchable. Best ranker ever and one of the most entertaining TH-camr I’ve seen yet!
I think that the problems with most of the galaxy boss fights are that they provide you with too many coins to heal. You can easily grab a coin and heal if you are in danger. If they left 1 maybe 2 coins at the boss area it would have been fine. Atleast imo.
I had a weirdly tough time with the final bowser fight in Galaxy 1 though due to all the times he hit me like when he was a boulder.

Well it’s still harder than Odyssey’s boss fights.
Nice list man. One thing that always bothered me about the super mario 64 bowser fights is the first fight requires you to throw him into one bomb and the 3rd and final fight requires you to throw him into 3 bombs. Okay that sounds right increasing difficulty, makes sense. However the second fight requires you to throw him into 1 bomb.......why not 2!? I know it ultimately doesn't matter and technically it's more difficult than the first fight because he can ground pound the stage causing it to tilt but that is super easy to avoid. I don't know maybe I'm insane or have an undiagnosed disorder but why not 2 times for the SECOND fight. 1 then 2 then 3! And the real pisser here is that when the DS version came out they didn't fix it, it's still 1 then 1 then 3. I know how this makes me sound but I can assure you I'm completely sane it's just something that's bugged me since I first played the game when I was four. Sorry for the rant I just had to get that off my chest and this seems to be the best place to do that considering the video is partially related to my gripe lol.

I just finished Super Mario Galaxy the other day too. I also like how challenging the fight is, and by the end the player applies all they learned from the game into one final battle.

The fact that Nintendo incorporated a such overpowered capture into Odyssey without breaking the game entirely is beyond me.

The thing that makes me enjoy the galaxy fight so much is that its Mario just punching Bowser with his own two-fists. Sure he needs the environment to stun him, but he's still actually hitting Bowser himself. No gimmicks, no items. Just a straight up brawl. We rarely see this outside of Smash Bros.
I would’ve put Galaxy 2 at the bottom of the list, it’s way too easy and the music is too epic lol
I will never understand why in bowser’s fury, bowser doesn’t use the Giga bells for himself. He uses the regular Super bell in the base game, so I’m not sure why he can’t use them in BF.

Does the final Fury Bowser fight remind anyone else of the Perfect Chaos fight from Sonic Adventure? I can practically hear Open Your Heart playing during it.
Mario 64 is liked more for it's nostalgia than for it's Bowser fights or actually quality for that matter.

I gotta say I completely agree with this ranking. The galaxy battles felt to epic and IMO are still unmatched by any other mario game! Odyssey gets close but it's mostly because of the whole 'capturing bowser with cappy' mechanic and not the fight itself lol
I like how this vid basically turned into a love letter to the Galaxy games. Nintendo at it's peak in my opinion. Odyssey is an awesome game but galaxy 1 & 2 will always be a bit higher on my list.
At this point Bowser should have his own game.

I prefer 3d Lands bowser fight to 3d worlds because, let me tell you, replaying 3d lands final fight is still fun for me every time and there is still a sense of urgency and danger even though I've done that fight tens of times. While I do love 3d world the final bowser fight (which I had to complete with every character to fully complete the game cuz no friends :( ...) just felt like a auto scrolling slog that I had to sit through EVERY TIME I wanted to beat the final level. Personally I don't know why people rate world over land as I thought it was commonly agreed upon that auto scrolling levels are a pain in the rear and very boring to sit through, and having to wait for bowser to finish his shenanigans every time before you can move up the tower slightly in world, rather than feeling like you are actually going somewhere like the mad dash in lands crumbling castle just makes me believe that worlds final bowser fight is worse than lands.

A joke of a boss, that's all I have to say
7: 64/64 DS
So from here on out all of the bosses are great, including this one, but the other fights have a bit more fun to them
6: Bowser's Fury
While it is mostly just circling the place multiple times, it still is very epic feeling and a lot of fun
5: Galaxy 2
It's really hard for me to rank the top 5 fights because they're all LEGENDARY but this fight is so amazing and underrated, sure it's a bit easy but it's still really fun ground-pounding the rocks into Bowser and it's super fun all around and I know this will be unpopular, but it's my favorite Galaxy 2 boss, yeah even better than the Bowser Jr bosses
4: Odyssey
Like you said, it's basically a re-imagining of the 64 Bowser, and it's truly an amazing fight, I don't really know what to say other than I love it
3: 3D Land
The fact that this boss is even on a handheld is just insane, the fight is a ton of fun and there is so much that happens but I still wish there was a boss like this that was more intense and dark, speaking of which...
2: 3D World
Basically everything I said for 3D Land applies here but the design of the tower is more fun, it's way darker, it's slower which adds to the intensity even more, and come on, Meowser, that is just amazing
1: Galaxy 1
What hasn't been said about this fight already? It's the best Mario boss of all time and is just perfect

While I do love 64 and Sunshine overall, I can agree they kind of pale in comparison regarding the final battles. I can agree with the rankings here.

3D Land has an amazing bowser fight, should have been at least 3rd
My favorite boss in Mario Sunshine is the bowser fight
8. Super Mario 64- Painful. I was happy to be done with this darn game during 3D All-stars.
7. Super Mario Sunshine- It’s weird and that’s super fun and good, but it’s also buggy as hell! You can clip under the broken rocks! Pain!
6. Super Mario Galaxy 2- Easy. It’s not even funny. The music is a saving grace, but it’s also just easy.
5. Bowser’s Fury- Now we’re getting somewhere. Ironically it’s the hardest boss in this list, for me. But despite being frustrated, you’re given enough time without it being annoying.
4. Super Mario Odyssey- Going back to easy, but the aftermath Bowser level makes up for it hard. It could almost make me cry happily.
3. Super Mario 3D Land- Pure serotonin this boss is. A mega obstacle course with Donkey Kong bowser and a very intense score for what it is.
2. Super Mario 3D World- Personally, the most unique Bowser fight. And for good reason. Meowser is a blast.
1. Super Mario Galaxy- Super Mario Galaxy 2 but way way way better. You use game elements to help. Slapping Bowser into space shouldn’t be so fun.
