Hey Tawra, I've been following y'all since the '00's. Through cutting back, frugality, bare bones and sometimes scorched earth we were able to afford: Me staying home for 8 years to raise our son, paid off 2 cars, paid for my 2 year college program with cash AND THE BIG NEWS NOW.....WE JUST PAID OFF OUR MORTGAGE!!!! We're 41 and 44 with a paid off house! I know you get frustrated dealing with people who won't listen or people who make excuses why they can't cut back. But I wanted you to know I LISTENED! I did the darn thing! You've had a lasting impact on my mindset and truthfully, my personality. I like your tough love! So from the bottom of my heart, Thank You and bless you and Mike and Jill. Warmest Hugs - Melanie from Louisiana with a PAID FOR HOME!!!

I’ve used a baby formula scoop for my laundry soap for year. I found a 20lb bag of my favorite soap on clearance because it had a slight rip and have been using and still only half way through. I see laundry detergent on sale all the time and was thinking maybe I need some then I come back home and nope maybe another 2 years before I need to buy it again. 😂

Great video! We do all of these. I should have set my mom up with a TH-cam channel 20 years ago. LOL. I've noticed that the package liners are more plastic-like and not wax paper like they used to be. We still use them. For small amounts of leftovers, I use a saucer over a cereal bowl or a plate over a large bowl instead of plastic wrap. We enjoy your channel.

I turn my used baggies inside out and wash well in a cleaned dishnpan of fresh dishwater. I hang them to dry still turned inside out on/ over silverware and cooking utensils in the dish drainer.

I got fresh cherries at the local Mexican market today for $.99 lb. They're $6.99 lb at Albertsons/Vons. I bought about 6 lbs for us and for sharing with family and friends, and still paid less than if I bought 1 lb at Vons. Don't forget about your ethnic markets for good deals.😊

I watched one of your videos this weekend where you used True Lime. I ordered it and True Lemon thru your Amazon link. I just used the lemon in my unsweetened hot tea. It’s delicious and tastes just like a lemon wedge. Thank you for the recommendation.

Great video! I wash my Ziplock bags also. People will be surprised how much you can save. I put my veggie scraps in the freezer to make broth. Same with the bone of chicken and beef. (I cut the bones out of steaks to save before serving).

Back in the day, i used to bring my water to a rolling boil in an 8 cup Pyrex measuring cup in the microwave, add my tea bags as soon as the water was cool enough to not boil again, let steep until ok, add sugar and then add lemon juice while things were still hot. At the time i used glass Snapple bottles with the metal lids; today it would probably be one of the coffee drink bottles with metal lids. (I drank the Snapple without hestitation but it was a purchase more so for the bottle.) I would pour the still very hot tea into the bottles a d put the lid on. For the lomgest time the metal lids would pop similar to canning. When cooled, i loaded them i to the fridge. Bringing the water to a rolling boil in the microwave killed anything in the water and the bottles were good to go withiut spoiling for a good three days outside the fridge and even in the car. The order of tea bag, sugar, lemon juice allowed for maximum steeping and fewer tea bags; all the more critical when using manynif the atrificial sugars. I washed my bottles and lids with just a kiss of bleach in the dish pan water.

Hey I use those little long scrub brushes to clean out my drains . I have to do this often. At least once a week if my girls are here. They both have long hair and mine is shedding .
I then follow with a cup of baking soda and a cup of vinegar. I leet it set for an hour or more, then follow with hot water. Works great and make the drains smell fresh.

I refill water bottles for my boys. We have a berkey filter that I run the water through and they say it tastes like new bottled water and it's cheaper

Making sun tea will save even more, no electricity, gas. Gallon dill pickle jar, water, eight tea bags, sun. Add a couple flavored tea bags for additional flavor.

      4 people
      Mike and I - clothes 4 loads/month
Dave and Jack clothes 4 loads/month
      Sheets 2/month
Towels 2/month (don't usually wash these separately but when I do that's it.)
