How To Fix No Water Sample Apex Trident

I had the no water sample error on my Trident as soon as I installed it but was able to fix it myself in about 15 mins. What seems to happen is the waste water tube gets kinked and the pressure build up causes some other hose to pop off.
It could also be that the hose which leaked was never correctly installed from the factory. Its been about 6 months since reseating the hose without any other issues.

I just installed a new trident that I had sitting on a shelf for probably a year. Same issue. When I took it apart it looked like the water sample and waste line were stuck/pinched where the solenoid pinches them closed. Rolled them in my fingers, they unstuck no problems since. This video probably would have been helpful if I found it when looking for solutions.
