@asdf There is no evidence to his claim. This incident was a simple case of mistaken identity like when the US Navy accidentally shot down an Iran air 747 cause the faulty radar screens detected it as an Iranian F-14. Videos from Russian rebels at the crash site clearly stated them saying "Oh S*** This is a commercial jet" They didn't intend to shoot it down. the Ukies bombed the rebels with Mig 29s earlier so the ill trained rebels shot the airliner down thinking it was a Ukrainian cargo jet. Ukrainian air control is to blame for not closing down the air space and allowing the airliner to stray into a war zone so it's not 100% the rebels fault.
In february 2015 I was on the Eindhoven airport, boarding a flight. The aircraft with the deceased remains was expected to land. It started as a sunny morning, but then a fog and dark clouds covered the sky. I will never forget the depth of that feeling and the depth of that sadness. Unspeakable...
I had a friend, whom I was gaming with on that morning, who lost his older brother, sister-in-law, and nephew, on that flight. Broke my heart to her of it happening. Pissed both, me and him, off that nothing (at the time) had been done. Now that this investigation is long concluded, I have yet to hear of anyone being held accountable for such a tragedy. Braen, my friend, I still remember, vividly, that day. And I continually mourn with you. I hope that, one day, you may see those responsible, brought to justice.
It was probably never reported on, because it was not politically expedient to do so. If there's no real gains politically to be made from reporting on something, it won't get any primetime coverage, heck you'll be lucky if it gets a 2 paragraph blip of an article on the last page of the World News section in the local newspapers.
@BOYT PLANET Russians didn't have a single reason to shoot that plane, beside that, they knew that whole world would judge them for that. As for Ukrainians, they probably thought that it was a russian plane.
What justice????? There is no justice for such accidents. It was not intentional as an offensive strike when you know your target. It’s defensive when you can’t identify the object as a threat to people on the ground.
Can you imagine the terror the passengers felt whom survived the blast and initial breakup. Falling through the air. Assuming they didn't black out instantly. What a horrific way to die.
The amount of time that you can think logically at that altitude is around a minute. After that you may still be awake but not thinking logically. It's a horrible to imagine but certainly those toward the rear of an aircraft would suffer much more.
Jesus. You're making this into a scientific debate. I also said "assuming they didn't black out instantly." Odds are that some were partially conscious long enough to realize what was happening. Flight or fight is no joke.

Too be fair it’s a war zone, people are at war in the war zone which means they fire missiles at air craft and shoot at people. Maybe don’t fly your 300 passengers through a war zone
I flew from London to Kuala Lumpur in August 2014, a month after this attack. The flight plan obviously diverted away from the conflict zone by then, but as we were near it, with the cabin lights off, window blinds down and everyone watching their inflight entertainment or sleeping, I started to tear up, as for the victims of this disasters, they had been doing the same thing - relaxing, sleeping, enjoying a film. Going from that, do a loud bang and being in a disintegrating aircraft must have been unimaginably horrifying and I got emotional about it.
And what needs to be done? What was done when the US shot down an Iranian passenger airplane in 1988? What was done when Ukraine shot down a Russian passenger airplane flying from Israel in 2001? Do we have to start a WW3?
@@february3199 What needs to be done? How about an international investigation that results in the arrest and prosecution of those that were responsible?
Also, could you please specify what an "international" investigation means? If the investigation team is composed of the US and their western puppets, it is not an "international", independent investigation. This is why the prime minister of Malaysia said that he does not believe in the outcome of MH-17 investigation since it was politically motivated since the beginning.
The worst of all is that the scumbag who pulled the trigger will never admit it. Families can't have vengeance of any kind, only sorrow and anger for the rest of their lives.
Agreed. Also, if any insiders, or the actual rocket crew, were not immediately silenced permanently (aka "killed") by their government, and they grow a conscience some day, it's surely no help to the passengers' families today.
Crazy how small the outrage was when it happened. Imagine you're on a civilian plane and get shot down for no reason at all. I wonder what the pilots thoughts were when they saw the missile. Such a disgusting act of terror.
Blank Space they probably didn't see it coming since a BUK-missile travels at a speed of 1900mph (3057 kmh) and reached the plane in about 12 seconds with an accuracy of 95 percent.
My brother and his wife still have their tickets for flight MH17, for July 24 2014. Just glad they choose to go on holiday a week later. It is beyond words what happend that day.
@@threathy he didn't say that. Ill trained rebels tried to shot down an Ukrainian plane. It was of course their fault that the rocket hit a different plane, but it was not intentional. No one expected such a highly capable AA system in work in their hands, that's why international air traffic was still allowed in such height. The perpetrators must be punished of course. BTW US military shot down in 1988 an Iranian airliner (290 fatalities), Ukrainian military a Russian airliner in 2001 (78 fatalities). Not the planes. Either the pilots suck, or they are absurdly unlucky. This was a Boeing 777-200, one of the newest planes out there. And this was before the 737 MAX debacle so Boeing had a pretty good track record.
Me and my family just departed from Heathrow with the destination being Bangkok on that exact day. Our plane was delayed with 20 min. The plane went off route just before the ukranian border and flew around and both of my parents having worked in the aviation industry for years knew something had happend. We heard about the news once we landed in Bangkok and I've never been this grateful of being alive before.
This killed many of my colleagues (and many innocent others) and it must, those who gave the orders to fire, bring to justice and sentence. No excuses can make this good. This brutal murder.
Correct. If a mass murder occured in russia or ukraine the government would argue about banning the weapons used for years to come. If the government commits it. They shut up about it until people forgot it happened
The rebels had no motive to deliberately bring down a commercial airliner. If it was indeed them surely they were aiming for a Ukrainian plane. You really ought to direct your anger at the Ukrainian officials who did not close down the airspace which they are responsible for doing in an active war zone which this was.

Mostly likely speed, air pressure and the sudden immense G-forces from the break up, most if not all blacked out or were killed instantly. Which is for the best.
Technically, almost immediate severe decompression had to kill them almost instantly. If somebody survived that impact, or shrapnel, or explosion of fuel, or flying shreds of aircraft, then well, he had to undergo free fall from 9000 meters.
The thing is, the buk sam system can be used 2 ways, in a connected web of launch vehicles and radar vehicles or as an independent launcher. The problem with the second set-up is that even though you can still target at simular ranges, the target information is much more limited than what the dedicated radar vehicle provides. Let us never forget this. This plane was shot down using a state of the art Russian anti-air system. There is no way on earth that a bunch of "rogue separatists" just happened to have one of these sitting around in a farmers field. This was a Russian attack, using a Russian weapon system, and it could only have been operated by a fully trained Russian crew.
First, you're wrong, Buk is not a state of the art system, it's Soviet era (look it up), and both the Ukrainian military and the separatists absolutely did (and still) have lots of them (look it up), and with crews. (I wouldn't swear to "fully trained," on either side.) I can really feel the tension, it's unusually quiet inside the plane and they kept us updated on the plane position. As soon as the plane arrived in Kuala Lumpur, everybody clapped their hands. Thanks to my sister who asked me to extend my stay for a week.
What I want to know is why civil and international aviation authorities allowed scheduled flights over a battlefield? One thing I remember, which no one ever mentions, is that just a few days before MH17 went down, a Ukrainian military transport plane had been shot down over eastern Ukraine. Why were civil flights still allowed over the conflict zone?
Because someone was interested in that for some reason. I do not know, who is responsible for "pressing a fire button" on Buk missile system (RU, UA/NATO or DNR/LNR) - I believe that it could be any side of the conflict (by mistake or by intention)... But I'm sure that EU and Civil Aviation Authorities are fully responsible for allowing MH17 or any other CIVIL aircraft fly over the active battlefield. It's unacceptable! No only allowed, but even lowered down to be able to shot this plane... Аir traffic controller that gives order is still not found. And will never found...
@@ovetomash148 Nah, SAM of that type, which by commission was used to shot down MH-17 can reach 22km height. Usual civilian airlines use corridor between 9 and 16km. Genocide is the wrong term, Genocide is the act of destroying a whole race, this was just a inconvenience, the pilots are the ones to blame for not staying at the targeted height it was ordered to.
The biggest similarity is two airlines who were stupid enough to fly in a war zone. How brainless was KLM to fly over Ukraine during a war there and how brainless the pilot was because it was reported back then that he could've taken a northerly route that would've avoided Ukraine altogether. The Ukrainian airline is less brainless because there was no open conflict as there was in Ukraine but you still take your chances flying around Tehran after its recent confrontation with the US. The Iranians probably did shoot down that plane but no one suggests that it was deliberate. Why would Iran give itself a black eye on purpose ? If the airlines aren't smart enough to stay away from war zones, then consumers must smarten up about their destinations as well as the routes their transport is taking them to get there.
The most horrible thing is 80/280+ victims were CHILDREN And it’s likely they were all awake and aware as there was a huge explosion, the plane’s cockpit sheared off and began to crash. Pure terror. Falling. Shrapnel and fire. Unimaginable suffering

@Jairul Joe They never saw it coming. It would have burned out and been coasting by the time it reached that altitude, and at that rate of closure you'd be lucky to see another airliner, much less a far smaller missile. Also, it would be coming from below.
@Jairul Joe The cockpit was peppered with shrapnel from the missile's warhead, and it was even found inside the bodies they recovered from that part of the plane. In all likelihood the pilots never knew what hit them. The rest of the passengers, who knows? It was still a terrible tragedy, of course, and one the unknown perpetrators likely feel great remorse over. First IranAir 655 in 1988, now this. Really, with today's communication technology, how difficult is it to keep an airliner out a combat zone? A civilian walking between two fighting armies technically has a right to walk there, but doing so is pretty damned stupid if he can just as easily walk elsewhere.

In subsection 2.16 (Figure 37, Table 11) of the "Factual information" section of the final report, it is indicated that, in total, two striking elements resembling an I-beam in shape, which are characteristic of the 9N314M warhead, were detected: fragment No. 1 - 14×14×4.5 mm in size and weighing 6.1 grams (crew cabin); fragment No. 2 is 12×12×5 mm in size and weighs 5.7 grams (the body of the aircraft commander). At the same time, section 2.12 of Annex X to the final report mentions only one striking element 14×14×4.5 mm removed from the crew cabin (fragment No. 1). The unreliability of the data given in the final report lies in the fact that in reality the mass of fragment No. 1 is not 6.1 g, but 5.5 g, as evidenced by the photographic materials obtained when weighing the fragment by members of the international commission in February 2015 at the Gilze-Reyen base. In addition, the report does not indicate the location of the discovery of this fragment in the cockpit. The body of the commander of the aircraft from which fragment No. 2 was extracted did not undergo a special study (instead, the body of the commander of team "B", who was outside the cockpit of the aircraft at the time of the crash, was examined). A new important fact is that, even if we assume that the aircraft was shot down by a Buk-type SAM missile, the characteristics of the fragments given in the report do not correspond to the characteristics of the striking elements of the 9N314M warhead. The shape of the fragments resembling an I-beam is considered in the final report in isolation from their mass. In comparison with the reference striking element of the 9N314M warhead in the form of an I- beam weighing 8.1 grams and 8.2 mm thick: the mass loss of fragment No. 1 was actually 32% (according to the report, 24.7%); the mass loss of fragment No. 2 was 29.6%; the relative transverse deformation (thickness reduction) is more than 60%. For fragment No. 1, it is impossible to explain the loss of significant mass due to destruction, because it has no signs of destruction (otherwise it would not have retained a shape resembling an I-beam). Fragment No. 2 has obvious signs of destruction, and the destruction occurred in a transverse (relative to the frontal surface) section. The small residual mass of the fragment can be explained by the fact of its destruction. However, the thickness of the fragment indicates a significant deformation of the striking element (more than 60%), which is not consistent with its shape. The evaluation of the ratio of the shape and mass of the striking element "I-beam" of the 9N314M warhead after breaking through the obstacle was carried out by Russian specialists during full-scale tests of the 9N314M warhead and by modeling the transverse deformation of the striking elements. Tests of the 9N314M warhead showed that the average mass of the I-beam striking elements, which retained their original shape with a through penetration in one case - aluminum sheets with a total thickness of 12 mm and in another case - the cabin of an Il-86 aircraft, was 7.2-7.9 g, and the average mass loss did not exceed 3-12%. The experiment on modeling the transverse deformation of the striking elements showed that the shape of the sample with a relative transverse deformation of 60% differs significantly from the shape of the fragments presented in subsection 2.16 (Figure 37, Table 11) of the "Factual information" section of the final report. The results of the tests and the experiment coincided with the data of control tests when creating the 9N314M warhead, according to which, with a through penetration of two steel sheets with a thickness of 5 mm each, the number of striking elements that retained the shape of the I-beam was 96% with a loss of mass of a separate element of 6-7%. Thus, the mass-dimensional characteristics of two fragments (subsection 2.16, Figure 37, Table 11 of the "Factual information" section of the final report), on the fact of detection of which the conclusion about the defeat of the aircraft by the 9N314M warhead is based, do not agree with the results of field tests and experiments. Subsection 2.16.2 and table 12 of the "Factual information" section of the final report provide information on the chemical composition of the fragments extracted from the fragments of the aircraft and the bodies of the victims. Studies of the chemical composition of the material from which the striking elements of the 9H314M warhead are made, carried out by Russian specialists, have shown that the chemical composition of the fragments published in the final report contradicts the conclusion that they belong to the 9H314M warhead. 2.2. Damage to the fragments of the aircraft Subsection 2.12 of the "Factual information" section and subsection 3.5 of the "Analysis" section of the final report, as well as section 2.13 and annex X indicate the approximate number of holes on the left side of the cockpit skin (about 200) and provide data on the transverse size of 31 holes. This, in fact, exhausts all the results of the study of the holes on the fragments of the aircraft. At the same time, in the final report and in its appendices there is no data on the shape of the holes, on the presence of holes on the right side skin, as well as materials for assessing the characteristics of the warhead by the nature of the fragmentation field on the fragments of the aircraft. A new important fact is that if we assume that the plane was shot down by a Buk-type SAM missile, then the characteristics of the holes on the fragments of the aircraft do not correspond to the characteristics of the holes that are formed when the 9N314M warhead explodes. According to the results of full-scale tests of the 9N314M warhead, carried out by Russian specialists, in accordance with the conditions of damage to the aircraft given in the materials of the report, the presence of many holes in the form of an I-beam was recorded on the outer skin of the target aircraft. There are no holes with a similar shape on the fragments of the Boeing-777-200 9M-MRD aircraft. In addition, during the tests, in contrast to the damage on the fragments of the Boeing-777-200 9M-MRD, the facts of complete destruction of the glazing by the commander of the aircraft, the power set above the glazing, numerous through holes not only on the left, but also on the right sides of the fuselage (exit holes) were recorded. The studies of the fragmentation field covering the fragments of the aircraft performed by Russian specialists showed that the total number of striking elements and the characteristics of the warhead (according to the DSB version) that hit the aircraft do not correspond to the characteristics of the 9N314M warhead. 6. Conclusion New important facts indicating the unreliability of the information given in the final report, assuming that the plane was shot down by a Buk-type SAM missile, are: inconsistency of the characteristics of the fragments given in the report with the characteristics of the striking elements of the 9N314M warhead; inconsistency of the characteristics of the holes on the fragments of the aircraft given in the report with the characteristics of the holes that are formed when the 9N314M warhead explodes; the discrepancy in appearance of at least one fragment of a rocket found at the scene of an aviation accident (the hull of the 3rd compartment) with the appearance of fragments of this hull, which are formed when the warhead of the 9M38 series rocket explodes; inconsistency of the algorithm of operation of the remote radio detonator of the 9M38 Buk missile with the conditions of aircraft damage; the discrepancy between the spatial position of the missile when the aircraft was hit, given in the report, and the characteristics of the fragmentation field covering its fragments; inconsistency of the conclusion about the launch zone of the anti-aircraft guided missile that hit the aircraft with the technical characteristics and principles of operation of the 9M38 missiles;

Crash =/= Accident A crash can be caused by an external factor, such as a person. A car crash can occur if someone slams your car into a wall. That's not an accident but it's still called a crash. The title is still accurate. I don't know the information surrounding the results of this crash, but I hope justice arrives soon.
If it was the rebels it was clearly an accident because they would have no motive to bring down a commercial airliner. If it was Ukraine who did it on purpose to blame Russia it would have been mass murder. But we have no evidence of that. So please refrain from making statements such as it was "absolutely not an accident at all". Because you don't know that. What we do know for sure is that the airspace should have been closed.

First, you're wrong, Buk is not a state of the art system, it's Soviet era (look it up), and both the Ukrainian military and the separatists absolutely did (and still) have lots of them (look it up), and with crews. (I wouldn't swear to "fully trained," on either side.)

I remember I travelled with the last MH 17 flight (it's changed to MH 15) exactly a week after the incident. Lots of people mourning at the airport. I can really feel the tension, it's unusually quiet inside the plane and they kept us updated on the plane position.

I hope such a mistake never happens again.
(c) If anything can go wrong - it will. Unfortunately.
Pray for victims.
Though, MPADS can't reach this height as the most advanced ones can reach around 6-7km, and it's still way lower than 10km where MH 17 was shot.
@@Opter_X Actually it's local air traffic officer who is kinda responsible for that and absolutely responsible a ministry of defense of Ukraine as they should provide worldwide info about restricted and prohibited airspace at Ukranian territory to airlines companies and air traffic officers adjust their airways.
Technically, this catastrophe is work accident. SAM operators just did their job correctly. Their job is shooting down any aircraft in the battlefield area.What they exactly did.
Moreover, after MH-17 accident they had to put radio-beacon on civilian aircraft frequencies, repeating the same message that aircraft should turn over due to they approach battlefront prohibited area and will be shot entering in it.

At that altitude, instant explosive decompression almost certainly knocked out a majority of the passengers.

@Jairul Joe Way too fast for that. Faster than a gun bullet.

In subsection 2.16 (Figure 37, Table 11) of the "Factual information" section of the final report, it is indicated that, in total, two striking elements resembling an I-beam in shape, which are characteristic of the 9N314M warhead, were detected:
fragment No. 1 - 14×14×4.5 mm in size and weighing 6.1 grams (crew cabin);
fragment No. 2 is 12×12×5 mm in size and weighs 5.7 grams (the body of the aircraft commander).
At the same time, section 2.12 of Annex X to the final report mentions only one striking element 14×14×4.5 mm removed from the crew cabin (fragment No. 1).
The unreliability of the data given in the final report lies in the fact that in reality the mass of fragment No. 1 is not 6.1 g, but 5.5 g, as evidenced by the photographic materials obtained when weighing the fragment by members of the international commission in February 2015 at the Gilze-Reyen base. In addition, the report does not indicate the location of the discovery of this fragment in the cockpit.
The body of the commander of the aircraft from which fragment No. 2 was extracted did not undergo a special study (instead, the body of the commander of team "B", who was outside the cockpit of the aircraft at the time of the crash, was examined).
A new important fact is that, even if we assume that the aircraft was shot down by a Buk-type SAM missile, the characteristics of the fragments given in the report do not correspond to the characteristics of the striking elements of the 9N314M warhead.
The shape of the fragments resembling an I-beam is considered in the final report in isolation from their mass. In comparison with the reference striking element of the 9N314M warhead in the form of an I- beam weighing 8.1 grams and 8.2 mm thick:
the mass loss of fragment No. 1 was actually 32% (according to the report, 24.7%);
the mass loss of fragment No. 2 was 29.6%;
the relative transverse deformation (thickness reduction) is more than 60%.
For fragment No. 1, it is impossible to explain the loss of significant mass due to destruction, because it has no signs of destruction (otherwise it would not have retained a shape resembling an I-beam).
Fragment No. 2 has obvious signs of destruction, and the destruction occurred in a transverse (relative to the frontal surface) section. The small residual mass of the fragment can be explained by the fact of its destruction. However, the thickness of the fragment indicates a significant deformation of the striking element (more than 60%), which is not consistent with its shape.
The evaluation of the ratio of the shape and mass of the striking element "I-beam" of the 9N314M warhead after breaking through the obstacle was carried out by Russian specialists during full-scale tests of the 9N314M warhead and by modeling the transverse deformation of the striking elements.
Tests of the 9N314M warhead showed that the average mass of the I-beam striking elements, which retained their original shape with a through penetration in one case - aluminum sheets with a total thickness of 12 mm and in another case - the cabin of an Il-86 aircraft, was 7.2-7.9 g, and the average mass loss did not exceed 3-12%.
The experiment on modeling the transverse deformation of the striking elements showed that the shape of the sample with a relative transverse deformation of 60% differs significantly from the shape of the fragments presented in subsection 2.16 (Figure 37, Table 11) of the "Factual information" section of the final report.
The results of the tests and the experiment coincided with the data of control tests when creating the 9N314M warhead, according to which, with a through penetration of two steel sheets with a thickness of 5 mm each, the number of striking elements that retained the shape of the I-beam was 96% with a loss of mass of a separate element of 6-7%.
Thus, the mass-dimensional characteristics of two fragments (subsection 2.16, Figure 37, Table 11 of the "Factual information" section of the final report), on the fact of detection of which the conclusion about the defeat of the aircraft by the 9N314M warhead is based, do not agree with the results of field tests and experiments.
Subsection 2.16.2 and table 12 of the "Factual information" section of the final report provide information on the chemical composition of the fragments extracted from the fragments of the aircraft and the bodies of the victims.
Studies of the chemical composition of the material from which the striking elements of the 9H314M warhead are made, carried out by Russian specialists, have shown that the chemical composition of the fragments published in the final report contradicts the conclusion that they belong to the 9H314M warhead.
2.2. Damage to the fragments of the aircraft
Subsection 2.12 of the "Factual information" section and subsection 3.5 of the "Analysis" section of the final report, as well as section 2.13 and annex X indicate the approximate number of holes on the left side of the cockpit skin (about 200) and provide data on the transverse size of 31 holes. This, in fact, exhausts all the results of the study of the holes on the fragments of the aircraft.
At the same time, in the final report and in its appendices there is no data on the shape of the holes, on the presence of holes on the right side skin, as well as materials for assessing the characteristics of the warhead by the nature of the fragmentation field on the fragments of the aircraft.
A new important fact is that if we assume that the plane was shot down by a Buk-type SAM missile, then the characteristics of the holes on the fragments of the aircraft do not correspond to the characteristics of the holes that are formed when the 9N314M warhead explodes.
According to the results of full-scale tests of the 9N314M warhead, carried out by Russian specialists, in accordance with the conditions of damage to the aircraft given in the materials of the report, the presence of many holes in the form of an I-beam was recorded on the outer skin of the target aircraft. There are no holes with a similar shape on the fragments of the Boeing-777-200 9M-MRD aircraft.
In addition, during the tests, in contrast to the damage on the fragments of the Boeing-777-200 9M-MRD, the facts of complete destruction of the glazing by the commander of the aircraft, the power set above the glazing, numerous through holes not only on the left, but also on the right sides of the fuselage (exit holes) were recorded.
The studies of the fragmentation field covering the fragments of the aircraft performed by Russian specialists showed that the total number of striking elements and the characteristics of the warhead (according to the DSB version) that hit the aircraft do not correspond to the characteristics of the 9N314M warhead. 6. Conclusion
New important facts indicating the unreliability of the information given in the final report, assuming that the plane was shot down by a Buk-type SAM missile, are:
inconsistency of the characteristics of the fragments given in the report with the characteristics of the striking elements of the 9N314M warhead;
inconsistency of the characteristics of the holes on the fragments of the aircraft given in the report with the characteristics of the holes that are formed when the 9N314M warhead explodes;
the discrepancy in appearance of at least one fragment of a rocket found at the scene of an aviation accident (the hull of the 3rd compartment) with the appearance of fragments of this hull, which are formed when the warhead of the 9M38 series rocket explodes;
inconsistency of the algorithm of operation of the remote radio detonator of the 9M38 Buk missile with the conditions of aircraft damage;
the discrepancy between the spatial position of the missile when the aircraft was hit, given in the report, and the characteristics of the fragmentation field covering its fragments;
inconsistency of the conclusion about the launch zone of the anti-aircraft guided missile that hit the aircraft with the technical characteristics and principles of operation of the 9M38 missiles;
This is grief stricken. May their souls rest in peace and they may get Justice soon!

@@dimmn82 I used to love to fly growing up. But then I did just that, grew up. Now that I'm older I'm afraid as hell to fly. That's one of my biggest fears is dying by plane crash. It's a nightmarish horrific death that I really don't wish on anyone. I still have nightmares that I'm getting in a plane to visit family but I know the plane is going to crash. It sucks...
@@madezra64 I wouldn't be so afraid if I knew the plane would hold together and crash into the ground. It coming apart is what scares me. lol
@@dimmn82 Sorry, what I meant to say was, you would be knocked out before you would see the whole plane rip apart. You would only see the beginning moments and blackout from decompression almost immediately. But yes, would still be horrific, even if for a bleak moment.
It's axiomatic: never fly in the battlespace above a war zone.

Russians supplying to terrorists any weapons without restrictions. This missile system Buk M3 was brought from Russia with a crew and returned back to Russia after this fatal launch.

Once again, do not fly over the active combat zone. Of course, if you are worried about the lives of passengers, and not about blaming someone, or saving a few gallons of fuel.
@@donkeyiaiaia4315 an "active warzone" is characteristically active - meaning that it's not well-defined because of the constant changes. The MH17 crash site was NOT deemed unsafe at the time of the accident.
There was another 2 planes nearby
Air traffic control directed them to that path. It is not that pilots can choose where they fly. They follow the path given by them and approved by ATC
Do comersial plane have missle warning system?
2021, any update? no justice yet? it's so sad.
and please change the title "crash" to "mass murder".. it's absolutely not an accident at all
the guy behind it was igor girkin, who apparently worked for the FSB (russian fbi) for 18 years, so I doubt hes gonna get charged
Crash =/= Accident
A crash can be caused by an external factor, such as a person. A car crash can occur if someone slams your car into a wall. That's not an accident but it's still called a crash. The title is still accurate.
I don't know the information surrounding the results of this crash, but I hope justice arrives soon.
As a resident of Russia, I say - you will never get a confession from the authorities for what they have done. This is terrible. This is sadly.
The Ukrainian authorities knew this was an active war zone and that the rebels had surface-to-air missiles. Yet they did not close the airspace. Presumably, because it would cost them money.
@@YaKoTuK please be safe. People that speak out against your government get into “accidents” a lot. I salute your bravery!
Good work done Dutch investigation group is was concised and clear what you have concluded !
Which was what exactly?
@@mirkovic What happened, where it happened and who did it.
Basically ukraine was pointing fingers at russia and russia was pointing fingers back at ukraine,
Great work of Dutch Investigation Group is wasted by politics, playing dirty games with Putin. Now russians buying western politicians to postpone this case and victims can wait for justice forever.

Sad that the guilty party were never caught and brought to Justice.
It’s incredibly sad but very intriguing that 50% of the 13k commenters seem to know one of the 200 odd passengers
