Remember that you can negate or destroy Accesscode Talker with quick effects that don't have to be activated in response to it (like Forbidden Droplet and DPE). Since Accesscode's destruction effect is spell speed 1, if you see your opponent summon it, you can toggle your effects to ON in Master Duel so you can deal with it right after it gains the attack boost.

Love seeing the Liebe representation here. I run a pure Trains deck in MD and Gustav -> Liebe is my go-to move.
I typically want to go second, and the deck itself is pretty great at breaking through boards just enough to OTK (or get close to it). If the conditions are optimal, the OTK can even be done with only 3 special summons minimum, keeping me safe from Nibiru, and being less risky if im playing into a Maxx C.

The list is about generics game enders that multiple decks can pull off. Number 62 needs to be played in a Photon Galaxy deck to get the 11200+ ATK. In a generic rank 8 deck, Number 62 is nowhere near as good as Number 97 -> Number 100.

Top 10 single cards/small archetypes (1~3 extra related cards) that grew into full archetypes. I am not talking about archetypes that are just based around a core card like Invoked or a boss monster like Eldlich, but I am instead referring to archetypes similar to Cyber Dragon or Harpie Lady that had the original monster and maybe a few related cards, but later received more substantial support in the form of retrains/remakes/offshoots of the original.
    For example:
Cyber Dragon (plus Cyber Twin, Cyber End, and Chimeratech Overdragon)
    Thunder Dragon
    BLS
    Dark Magician
    Dark Magician Girl
    Red-Eyes
Blue-Eyes White Dragon (plus Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon)
    Harpie Lady (and Sisters)

Neat idea, but I’m pretty sure that Thunder Dragon (or maybe Buster Blader) would top the list. Also I noticed that almost all the cards on the list are DM era, and even then Cyber Dragon is stretching a bit since it had quite a few extra monsters early on. I’m not saying those choices are bad, though; I’m just saying I wish they would give the treatment to some later cards. Come on, Konami; give us an Abaki archetype already!

  • @BloodfelX

It is pretty amusing how many of these options can fit in a certain OCG banlist FTK deck. With how the main deck of Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom FTK decks are usually built in the OCG, you can pretty easily include in the Extra Deck:
Raider's Knight, Arc Rebellion Xyz Dragon (since it can use Level 4 DARK Pendulum monsters)
Utopia Double, Utopia, Utopia the Lightning (at a 1 card consistency hit for "Double or Nothing")
Draglubion, Numeron Dragon (using Level 8 monsters like Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom)
Borrelsword Dragon (or Accesscode Talker if you want)
And if you want you could even add in Gagaga Cowboy or even Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon.
So on top of already being an FTK deck, you also have 5+ OTK options - including how Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom is an OTK option in itself.

Zeus might've deserved a honorable mention. It's not that hard to bring out with 4 materials, allowing you two complete board wipes. So you can use it once to just clear the board, then use it again for whatever your opponent might try to set up on his next turn.

Dragonar isn't as strong as Utopia after the Double or Nothing boost, but it gives you the ability to go into Hope Harbinger, which is much more valuable in my opinion, not to mention that the Card Knight archetype is so good at getting more XYZ fodder on the field and using a card like Joker's Straight doesn't lock you out of Utopia, seeing as most Utopia monsters are Light Warrior anyways.

Gate Guardian should have a retrain that puts in on this list. It was the first big boss monster if I recall correctly…
I’ll throw my pitch in for an idea, and anyone has others then be my guest:
    _Labyrinth Guardian_ (DARK)
    Level 11
    Pendulum scale:11
Pendulum effect: _Monsters you control deal piercing battle damage and gain 100 ATK for every card in either players GY. You gain LP equal to any battle damage inflicted to your opponent. Once per turn, at the beginning of your turn, you may declare that monsters of level 5 or over require one less tribute to tribute summon, until the end of your opponents next turn. Once per turn, you may destroy any number of monsters in your hand or side of the field who’s combined level/rank equal 5 or 7, and add a level 5 or 7 monster to your hand from your deck or GY. When you control 1 “Sanga of the Thunder” “suijin” and “kazajin” each on the field (quick effect), you may tribute them to special summon this card from your pendulum zone._
    Warrior/pendulum/tuner/effect
_Must first be summoned (normal/tribute or special summon, your choice) by tributing 1 “Sanga of the Thunder” “suijin” and “kazajin” you control on the field. This card can make 2 additional attacks per battle phase on opponents monsters, deals piercing battle damage, and twice per turn cannot be destroyed by battle or card effect. Thrice per turn, monsters this card battles have their ATK/DEF reduced to 0 during damage calculation. Once per turn (quick effect if you control no other monsters on the field), you may special summon this card first summoned by its own effects, that was removed from the field by your opponent, by banishing 1 “Sanga of the Thunder” “suijin” and “kazajin” from your GY facedown, OR banish this card to special summon 1 “Gate Guardian”, ignoring its summoning conditions._

Should have retrains for all four:
      Sanga of the Thunder Fortress
      LIGHT / Thunder / Effect / Level 7 / 2600 ATK / 2200 DEF
Once per turn, during your main phase, you can special summon this card from your hand; its original ATK becomes 0 and you cannot special summon any more level 7 monsters this turn. Once per turn, if a monster on your side of the field is targeted for battle, you can negate that attack.
      Suijin of the Ocean Fortress
      WATER / Aqua / Effect / Level 7 / 2500 ATK / 2200 DEF
Once per turn, during your main phase, you can special summon this card from your hand; its original ATK becomes 0 and you cannot special summon any more level 7 monsters this turn. Once per turn, if a monster on your side of the field is targeted by a spell or trap card effect, you can negate that effect until the end phase.
      Kazejin of the Wind Fortress
      WIND / Spellcaster / Effect / Level 7 / 2400 ATK / 2200 DEF
Once per turn, during your main phase, you can special summon this card from your hand; its original ATK becomes 0 and you cannot special summon any more level 7 monsters this turn. Once per turn, if a monster on your side of the field is targeted by a monster effect, you can negate that effect until the end phase.
      Fortress Gate Guardian
      DARK / Warrior / Xyz / Effect / Rank 7 / 3750 ATK / 3400 DEF
      3 Level 7 monsters
This card gains the effects of all level 7 'Fortress' monsters attached to it as Xyz material. Once per turn if this monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can detach one Xyz material from this card instead. This card can attack twice per turn during your battle phase if it has at least 2 Xyz material attached.

Well I wanted effects that harkened back to the more battle centric focus of the old days, while having more modern searching effects to help summon Gate/Labyrinth Guardian properly…
: _Monsters you control deal piercing battle damage and gain 100 ATK for every card in either players GY. You gain LP equal to any battle damage inflicted to your opponent._ Duel Longs has said before the piercing damage, attack point gains and LP gains are kinda irrelevant without _a lot_ of LP being involved one way or another, so I saw no harm in bunching them together (plus the 100 ATK boost from cards in the graveyard references shadow ghoul, another paradox brother card
: _Once per turn, at the beginning of your turn, you may declare that monsters of level 5 or over require one less tribute to tribute summon, until the end of your opponents next turn._
This is to help summon out “Sanga of the Thunder” “suijin” and “kazajin” in an old school way, and the fact that it applies to BOTH players makes it powerful, but you’d need to be careful with it to not give your opponent an edge. Plus I didn’t see a card that does tribute related effects like this so i thought it would be neat
: _Once per turn, you may destroy any number of monsters in your hand or side of the field who’s combined level/rank equal 5 or 7, and add a level 5 or 7 monster to your hand from your deck or GY._ This is to help search out “Sanga of the Thunder” “suijin” and “kazajin” in time for said tribute summons, and maybe some other odds and ends. And the effect _destroys_ monsters, so that’ll play into plenty of their effects
: _When you control 1 “Sanga of the Thunder” “suijin” and “kazajin” each on the field (quick effect), you may tribute them to special summon this card from your pendulum zone._ This is self-explanatory, although I could change it to just add itself to your hand or extra deck if this wording conflicts with rules.
And since Gate Guardian was the first ever level 11 monster, it would be fitting if its pendulum retrain were the first ever pendulum scale 11 monster as well.

Absolute Zero destroys all of the opponents monster's when it leaves the field and Acid destroys all of the opponents Spell and Traps on summon, so using one to summon the other means that you get to completely wipe your opponents entire field and unless they have a handtrap or some graveyard effect there's not much they can do after that.

The key is to bring out Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon and Galaxy-Eyes Afterglow Dragon or even combo it with N.90: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord to attach Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon to it and instead summon it with Astral Kuriboh to give it protection. You then have an extremely powerful Dragon that even if it doesn’t have protection it comes back a bit later with double the attack. Another reason Cowboy stopped being played: archetype design has purposefully shifted away from allowing generic rank 4 toolboxes to fit into really good modern decks. Decks that summon lots of level 4s usually do so as tokens (Adventurer, Swordsoul), don't need the Cowboy to burn in time, or just can't summon it because of attribute locks or mixed levels or non-4s. It's also why decks being able to make Bagooska while also not being bad otherwise are rated as better than they otherwise would be this format. R4nk access is actually not too common now.

The number 97 combo is particularly devastating because how I bring it out is through Aruru who bounces a card on the field when my opponent targets one of my spellcasters, and Verre. So my opponent will likely be down their big boss monster and not preparing for a big boy like Numeron dragon because Witchcrafters aren’t normal known for putting up gigantic boss monsters. An easier way to get Liebe on the field is to use Number 27 Dreadnought Dreadnoid's effect: at the end of the turn that Dreadnought Dreadnoid destroys a monster in battle, you can use it and any XYZ materials it has to summon a Rank 10 or higher Machine type XYZ monster

    • @MidoriNatsume
      @MidoriNatsume 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

That's a really bad way to play Liebe.
You need to destroy a monster with a really weak one, and you are bringing Liebe AFTER the battle phase, when it's a sitting duck and is just waiting to be popped.

to me, i think most of the best cards in the game being generic is what makes yugioh less fun for me. its just what engine is best for bringing out these cards. id love for generic cards to be solid but for archetypal cards to be the best so that each decks win conditions are completely different and dont feel exactly the same

"Cowboy for game" was very different back in the day because I played Metaphys. And I don't know how widespread this little secret is yet, but Metaphys are a tad hard of hearing and mysteriously hear "cowboy" as "rail cannon". Meaning what could've been 800 burn for game becomes the far bulkier and more often overkill 2k burn for game.

While not exactly a game closer, a monster I love for similar reasons to this list is Raidraptor - Revolution Falcon
Super easy for Raids to go into (any 2 level 4 for Force Strix, then any of their main RUMs), detach 1 to attack all monsters your opponent controls, and passive SS hate where if it battles an opponent's SS'ed monster, that monster's ATK/DEF becomes 0 permanently.
I'm not 100% on the exact mechanics of that passive, I'm pretty sure it's non-targeting so with the SS heavy meta we're in it's pretty easily able to full board wipe and deal a hefty 2k damage each attack, 3k if you run Raptor's Mace

Utopia Double can also be a decent toolbox of several game enders, as it can also go into Beyond to set the opponent's monsters to 0 attack as another closing attack or Leo to add an Xyz ZW card or asura strike for a big attack monster with a quick effect negate of a monster's effect and possible multiple attacks.

Cards that allow you to get back into the game could be a follow up to this list. After you got hit hard (maybe by Zeus or Lightning Storm) but the opponent didn't manage to go for game, which cards get you back on top.
Obviously Monster Reborn is a candidate or D/D Nighthowler or

Pretty sure that Drytrons Meteonis Draconids should make this list as it’s ability to attack all your opponents special summoned monsters with a 4000 attack body can close games very efficiently. On top of its non-destruction removal effect it’s a really strong closer that also has good board presence.

I have some list suggestions of you don't mind:
    Best Story cards part 2
Top 10 cards that show other cards
Top 10 cards that aren't in Master Duel
    Top 10 stall cards.
    Top 10 generic pendulum cards.
Top 10 "trap" cards. (Cards that seem good at first glance but aren't really that good.)
Top 10 parody cards. (Like how Weed Out parodies Return from the Different Dimension.)
Top 10 special conditions in the games.
    More Rescue Rabbit, please.

Normal summoning ash blossom, while having a level four monster on the field, then going into Yazi, then Mare Mare, then linkuriboh and masquerena then into borrel sword dragon has to be the funniest combo to close a game I have seen. Highly recommend.

    I like your tops, seriously.
You should do top 10 cards that force your opponent to do something. Like Cyberangel Idaten.
I think that's a pretty cool effect because your opponent can't respond after it is activated.

As a Lunalight master. I can confirm Cat dancer is AMAZING. If you fuse Bird and Fox you have a gamer ender. Also Either is searchable with LL fusion.
There is also Zane's skill. Fatal five. If 1 monster attacks 5 times during 1 turn. You win.
