    Incredibly well produced and well played demo! It blows my mind that more people aren’t hip to the Velvet Fuzz. This gives Andy’s demo playing David Gilmour leads a run for its money as #1 comparing all the tones in there.
    Tumnus > Velvet > U-vibe mode on the Terraform through my AC30 is Hendrix tone nirvana.

      Thanks for the kind words Zack! I think that the Velvet Fuzz is ready for a second round. More people should indeed be hip to this pedal.
      It has a very low noise floor and tons of gain and level. What’s not to love about this pedal?!

    I could see me having some fun playing Sabbath riffs with that pedal I reckon. Big fan of your licks mate

      Iommi was my first guitar hero! More so than any other guitar player. Eventually Tom Scholz and Brian May formed the trifecta of my musical influence.
      Sabbath and this pedal would totally work. You just gave me the idea of trying this with a Treble Booster. 🤗

    When this pedal came out I thought I was already sold (Wampler needed a Fuzz). I was in a weird mood, or feeling self-concious when I tried it and it actually scared me off in a few minutes. It's unique tone felt distanced (I'm sure you've been there).
    Always wanted to give it another try.
    Damn you, Jonathan! Quit Posting such cool stuff!
    P.S - As a former Canuck I'm sure you remeber Songbird Music. They're now - Spaceman Music in Ottawa, and they always have a Fairfield Barbershop in stock! Thanks for introducing me to that pedal (it will be mine!). :)

    • @TheToneLounge
      @TheToneLounge  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once a Canuck, always a Canuck! That's cool that they have the Fairfield Pedals. If I remember correctly, Fairfield Circuitry is from Gatineau. So, that probably explains why they easily have them in stock.

    Johnathan. I still have the stock tubes in my AC 15 c1. Would a set of JJ's from amazon be adequate. Kinda on a budget. Love the fuzzy wuzzy on this wampler. Fuzz is my next pedal. Have you ever did the big green Russian by ehx ? Thanks.

    • @TheToneLounge
      @TheToneLounge  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have JJ preamps and Sovtek in my AC15. Anything other than the stock tubes is going to be great. As for the Green Russian, not yet. It's on my "to do" list. ;)

    I would have sold mine but then 1) I discovered your channel and 2) I bought an AC15 C1
    I still like Big Muffs and Tonebenders but this pedal could easily replace one and even serve double duty as a distortion.
    It sucks through my other combos tho 😂

    • @TheToneLounge
      @TheToneLounge  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm happy that this video made you keep that pedal. I think it's a great sounding fuzz. It's not a classic fuzz by any means, but that's what I love about it. I told Brian Wampler that the Thin/Big should be foot switchable in the next revision. Fingers crossed.

      @@TheToneLounge Awesome. I have both and that tone was phenomenal. My biggest issue has been finding the right “spot” on the board for the velvet to maximize it’s capabilities. I have a few od’s on my board now and it’s a pain in the butt to figure out where to put them all! Thanks for an awesome vid and your response!

    • @TheToneLounge
      @TheToneLounge  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My pleasure Sean! Typical fuzz pedals go first in line, mostly due to the fact that they don't play well with buffers and do weird impedance things with other pedals. This is mostly true for Germanium based fuzz. However, the Velvet Fuzz does not suffer from any of these issues. It's not Germanium based and plays well with other pedals, so you can put it anywhere that you like.
      My suggestion would be to put it first in line, and a tone shaper, like the Belle, right after it if you want to get the most versatility from it. If you put the belle first, you'll be getting great results too but way less flexible.

    • @seanjessie9921
      @seanjessie9921 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheToneLounge Ok. That being said, I go guitar>wah>fulltone deja vibe mk II then right now, I go Wampler moxie (ts-10) into the velvet then belle after. I’m wanting to be able to push the velvet with the moxie or Belle for leads. Something just doesn’t jive with that mix though to my ears.
