It sounds very Jimi on the Strat, for sure. I will have to try this one out. Looks like BW nails the Jimi Strat, fuzz, Marshall stack combination, all in one pedal, for sure.
This pedal hasn't left my board since I got it. Never was a big Fuzz fan, but this pedal is the best I've ever heard. The "tight" mode is ridiculously cool.
This is one of my two main tones, both are fuzz pedals. This is the only fuzz pedal I ever bought that I could get the same tone as on the demo video within minutes of plugging it in. I run it into the vintage channel of my Dual Fusion with the gain on the DF at 12 o’clock and a fast slap back delay, bravo Brian and crew at Wampler for this monster pedal!
The big swtting is slightly affected when the signal is buffered, doesn't clean up so much and compresses more on the low end, it's not much but it is there. The Tight setting doesn't appear to have any negative side effects of buffering etc. which is what happens when you run a wireless.
Hey Brian. Really great job with this pedal. I've heard many so called, real deal germanium fuzzes, that don't sound near as good as this one... You're a great example of how things should be done. I have a couple of your pedals, and am extremely pleased with them. That one is next! Thanks for taking the time and effort to get it right...
I used to be the same way "GE transistor fuzzes or it sucks!" attitude. But after playing the velvet, and finding out it uses a SILICONE transistor, i was blown away
Here's the deal - the Velvet Fuzz MUST be plugged into a power supply. What a difference! It absolutely sings through my Orange Rockerverb 50 now. Just beautiful. Cranked on a bridge humbucker the Orange is a little less Hendrixy and more early Sabbath at full gain. But rolling off the volume a bit and playing the front single coil starts to get that beautiful voodoo chile tone. Marvelous! I still like my Soveriegn pedal slightly more but VF is a winner!
Obviously, there will be some reaction differences but you will still get this base tone providing the amp isn't too muddy (which some SS amps are unfortunately).
Just bought this pedal and man I sold my other high gain pedals. I am so in love with the velvet fuzz. I wish If they will make a new version of this, they would replace the toggle into a footswitch also.
Watched this. Once. Went online. Bought. My 'Im' has never been more 'pressed'. Superb demo guys, will sit proudly next to my Euphoria. Will post again once it arrives and Ive tested it :)
This video made me buy the velvet fuzz. Travis is a great player. How did you keep him quiet for so long! You can see the internal struggle in his face!
I want to thank you guys for making such excellent pedals. My Triple Wreck sounds so amazing through my Palominos clean channel and I just ordered the Velvet Fuzz today. I'm sure it'll bring me as much joy as my TW.
I liked this fuzz so much... I have 2 of them. One mounted on a board and the other is free range, so I can move it around...because it has zero compatibility issues like many of my other fuzzes. It is great by itself...plays nicely with other pedals. Great at house volume levels or gigs. Stacks great very versatile. Gilmour, Johnson, Hendrix, more
I have this pedal, at least. This is THE BEST pedal I've ever had. You can go from overdriven tones to fuzzy tones: just turn up and down your guitar knobs. It works great with Fenders and Gibsons, no doubts. To my rears it sounds at its best when the amp is already cranked. Great job.
Brian I have a feeling you are gonna be selling lots of these. That pedal show was praising your velvet fuzz and it made me want to buy one. They are even trending on sweetwater on page 1 of most popular overdrive/distortion/fuzz. 👍👍. I need Velvet Fuzz and Faux Tape Echo V2(I need to replace this carbon copy on my board).
Very entertained by this demo and, of course, the great guitar playing. This past Christmas I gave my son a Fulltone Octafuzz pedal. Most impressive. I've been using distortion pedals and feel it's time now to experiment with fuzz especially after hearing the tones achieved by my son. I've checked out a number of different pedals by various companies. I like this Velvet Fuzz by Wampler. A bit on the pricey side, but a nice pedal. I like quality.
Sounds eerily like my Guild Foxy Lady pedal from the 70's, except, the Velvet Fuzz is way quieter and cleans up better with volume pot. I believe you have a winner here
"Dropping the volume back cleans it up perfectly so your rhythm can remain clear enough and then your solo's will flatten all those who dare to stand before you."
Brian, Great peddle man, this thing is just fun as hell! More later. BTW both of you sound great, thanks for the inspiration; oh and Andy from PGS, sweet demos as well.
Like my Velvet fuzz a lot! Gets that nice Splodo-Sag in a very usable way. Not in a band right now so haven't tired it live yet but super fun at home so far. Would love to try an Octave fuzz, foot switchable Octa, version based on this circuit!
ok really jonesin' for this fuzz ... kinda covers the fuzz galaxy o' tones really nice ... love the brightness for it too ... man i might have to pull the trigger for this one ... been without a fuzz for over a year because i never got what i needed from them in the end ... so just been fuzz-less to get my head cleared ;) and just been surfing and listening to tons of these videos ... this might be the one that covers what i've looked for :)
Best sounding fuzz I've heard in a long while, great playing too
Travis works with us now - a handy guy to have around when demo's are needed! :)
One of the best sounding pedal demos I've ever seen. Watch it about weekly just to make sure, lol.
Lol, same here.
It sounds very Jimi on the Strat, for sure. I will have to try this one out. Looks like BW nails the Jimi Strat, fuzz, Marshall stack combination, all in one pedal, for sure.
I'm dumbfounded how this video could have ten dislikes. Monstrous playing and tone!
Its the Justin Beaver fans
Because of the rock n roll
Cuz you can't tell how the fuzz sounds cuz dude is just shredding instead of playing a g chord
This pedal hasn't left my board since I got it. Never was a big Fuzz fan, but this pedal is the best I've ever heard. The "tight" mode is ridiculously cool.

Great playing- I am once again amazed with Wampler pedals
I love this fuzz pedal. Best Buy in a long time. Instant spot on my crowded board. Thank you for this pedal Brian!!
@Em Gugel - Yes, the velvet fuzz (and all of our pedals) have true bypass :)
The first 10 seconds and I already decided I'm going to buy one
My dad just got one and it is unreal!! Def the best thing to happen since the original 60s fuzz pedals of the day
Sorry for the confusion. It was actually a stock Fender Deluxe reverb reissue.
That sounds amazing. I could've watched 10 more minutes of Travis playing Hendrix
The big swtting is slightly affected when the signal is buffered, doesn't clean up so much and compresses more on the low end, it's not much but it is there. The Tight setting doesn't appear to have any negative side effects of buffering etc. which is what happens when you run a wireless.
This style of playing takes devotion. Really great, Travis!
Hey Brian. Really great job with this pedal. I've heard many so called, real deal germanium fuzzes, that don't sound near as good as this one...
You're a great example of how things should be done. I have a couple of your pedals, and am extremely pleased with them. That one is next! Thanks for taking the time and effort to get it right...
Tony Sinopoli Thanks Tony!
I used to be the same way "GE transistor fuzzes or it sucks!" attitude. But after playing the velvet, and finding out it uses a SILICONE transistor, i was blown away
Yeah this pedal really does beat the hell out of most vintage fuzzes
Brian you make the best pedals I have 4 and will b getting this one on Monday I can't wait u and your crew do the best work!!!!
Absolutely adore the sound of this pedal, think this is going on my list!
Jesus christ this is awesome. I love that tone. This is the fuzz tone I've been looking for.
Great sounding pedal and terrific performance. Thank you.
The video that introduced me to wampler pedals. Yes the velvet fuzz was my first of 11 wampler pedal purchases and I think still my favorite
...and that Travis dude - wow man, you've got some seriously soulful skills! I could just keep listening to your playing man.
Thanks, Rodger I appreciate that!
-Travis
Great playing Travis. I love listening to that over and over.

One of the best pedals I've ever heard.
The video that introduced me to Wampler pedals. Got the V fuzz and now in 2019 I'm much broker now
Obviously, there will be some reaction differences but you will still get this base tone providing the amp isn't too muddy (which some SS amps are unfortunately).
Just bought this pedal and man I sold my other high gain pedals. I am so in love with the velvet fuzz. I wish If they will make a new version of this, they would replace the toggle into a footswitch also.
The ending song "fire" is awesome.
Watched this. Once. Went online. Bought. My 'Im' has never been more 'pressed'. Superb demo guys, will sit proudly next to my Euphoria. Will post again once it arrives and Ive tested it :)
I never wanted to order from overseas, but this pedal sounded so great that I had to make the exception.
Best sounding fuzz pedal I’ve heard 😯
This video made me buy the velvet fuzz. Travis is a great player. How did you keep him quiet for so long! You can see the internal struggle in his face!
+Alex Chapman when he's in the mode, it just flows! He's a really great player.
This sold me, too. Mine's arriving today.
What a player!
Yes, it can run from a 9v DC (center pin negative) PSU, it draws 23mA. :)
so sick. What a great player, and a great pedal...I think I have heard all I need to hear to buy this thing
Sounds incredible!
Nice chops. I forgot what I was watching this for. haha!
I want to thank you guys for making such excellent pedals. My Triple Wreck sounds so amazing through my Palominos clean channel and I just ordered the Velvet Fuzz today. I'm sure it'll bring me as much joy as my TW.
I got mine a couple of weeks ago and I really love it!!! Very versatile for a fuzz pedal and it's got gorgeous tone that drew me right in!
GREAT sounding pedal ! Rock ON !
Gilmour, Johnson, Hendrix, more
olalaaaaa MUST HAVE THIS PEDAL!! Wow
That's how it should sound, great playing on this video..
Even though I'm sure its 90 percent Travis im still getting this pedal....Next!!!
Great job.

Oh my god that jam was ear candy. Such amazing bends. Great playing!
It's exclusive to PGS upon release, then it will be available globally in the fall.
Great, can't wait until it's available in the UK... Top playing too (both of you)!
That thing sounds great!
Love the players Style
Great sounding fuzz, from one of the best pedal designers out there
ok wow. dang good playing

Sick playing and tone.
Pedal of peace!
Oh lord. I need to practice. Killer demo
sounds amazing. nice playing.
Hell of a player! So intense! Awesome 😎
Always coming back to hear Travis jamming to Hendrix
Holy shit what a jam on the intro very cool
best pedal you've made, Brian!
Sounds eerily like my Guild Foxy Lady pedal from the 70's, except, the Velvet Fuzz is way quieter and cleans up better with volume pot. I believe you have a winner here
Awesome playing and I love the tone!
Awesome pedal
This sounds fantastic. I've watched several demos, and none of the other fuzzes out there touch this IMHO. Gotta go get one now, bye.
"Dropping the volume back cleans it up perfectly so your rhythm can remain clear enough and then your solo's will flatten all those who dare to stand before you."
Man, that sounds just awesome.!
Damn! Homerun! Great video!
That's because it is W. T. Feaster :)
Pretty musical fuzz, way to go Brian,
Jim
Best fuzz i've heard
I need a lesson from him... !!! How can I learn to play like that ?? Awesome tone btw nice fuzz
Brett Papa's TH-cam channel.
Great player and pedal
Found this pedal used at guitar center. Found this video and yeah, picked up that pedal today. Yup, yupper, yes, sweet Jesus YES.
Brian,
Great peddle man, this thing is just fun as hell! More later. BTW both of you sound great, thanks for the inspiration; oh and Andy from PGS, sweet demos as well.
Brian, you've done it again... this Fuzz sounds incredible... will you be attending Nashville Amp Expo this year again ???
Got this one recently and I really like it compare to all the others I have been using in the past 👌
More! Awesome!
Total BADASS tone...
It's a great pedal. Thank you Brian. Now I just have to learn how to play like Travis to do it justice....
Holy shit!! This pedal is amazing (and the playing) I'm buying this now!
Like my Velvet fuzz a lot! Gets that nice Splodo-Sag in a very usable way. Not in a band right now so haven't tired it live yet but super fun at home so far. Would love to try an Octave fuzz, foot switchable Octa, version based on this circuit!
Just bought one ! LOVE IT !!!!!!!!! Perfect !!!!!!!!
Sounds Awesome
That was some rock solid playing there. Awesome.
ok really jonesin' for this fuzz ... kinda covers the fuzz galaxy o' tones really nice ... love the brightness for it too ... man i might have to pull the trigger for this one ... been without a fuzz for over a year because i never got what i needed from them in the end ... so just been fuzz-less to get my head cleared ;) and just been surfing and listening to tons of these videos ... this might be the one that covers what i've looked for :)
So, what happened? Did you get one? Do you like it?
Please share.
The backing track is Hear My Train A Comin' - Jimi Hendrix :)
Is it the pedal or the guy playing. Badass all the way around.
Killer sounding!
damn Travis is killin it
See ya tomorrow! Hope I can pick one up at Summer Namm!
this video sold me out..
