Hi Ruth overall I had a lot of empties in most categories, but makeup was the problem child😂. I used up a ton of skincare etc, but less than twenty makeup products. I did a few prompt based projects and had usage goals on makeup mostly, so on paper it looks like it was fairly successful. However it wasn't a good use up year for makeup and a good bit less than the previous year. I think I overall am fairly pleased and learned a fair bit about how long it takes to use certain items. I think you did really well. Best wishes x
Hi! You look so pretty and festive!! You did amazing! 30 items??? Crazy! I wouldn't feel badly at all for decluttering things that you have used to death! You got your money's worth! I did really well in my Out The door in 24! I finished 21 out of 24 and I am calling that a win! I definitely became overwhelmed this year and had to let a few projects go halfway through. It was just too much. I scaled it down to 3 projects for the new year. 10 uses, A-Z and Deck of Panning because that one is mu favorite!! So happy that you're doing Deck of panning next year too!
I bet you 'll notice such a difference when you cut back the number of projects, it really helped me focus in on a few less products and end up finishing them! 21 products is phenomenal! Well done you!!! xoxo
No guilt for letting go of those old products! It's lovely to have gotten as much use as you did--and of products that were otherwise getting no love. You did great!

I’m here for 2025 though and can’t wait to see how you do! I also wanted to tell you that you remind me of an American actress named Meryl Streep. I think it’s your high cheek bones. So pretty! So many products done! Very successful project 🙂 Well done Ruth 🎉🎉🎉 I feel i did well in most of my projects but my pan that palette has been a major struggle. It only has five eyeshadows in it and I've learned I like to rotate my palettes a lot or I get bored. Next year I have a few palettes I'm going to focus on instead and have usage goals for them per month, and do no pan left behind on everything else. Eyeshadow is by far my largest category and I want to get good use on everything. I also want to rotate through blush, lip products, and eyeliners. Everything else I'm happy to use one thing until it's gone and move on to the next item. Summer is an exception as far as base products go. I like sheer products in the summer so I'll change things around then if i need to. I've learned so much about my makeup preferences this year through project panning. I'm very happy about that. I tried a no-buy this year and it went pretty well up until the summer. I'm hoping with what I've learned this year I can be more successful with my no-buy next year.
Woohoo for you! Awesome empties. I'm fine with having used up a ton of face powder, some lip masks, and foundation minis. Next year may do something more structured.
