You could try pressing the shades with alcohol to get, sort of repress them and make ot less crumbly. Ive done this with a few shades in different palletes and it seems to work!

I'm so sorry that Minka palette didn't work for you! That one is on my "ones that got away" list 😭

I'm no expert by any means, but have you tried wiping your finger on your hand before applying chunky shimmers on your eyes? Just basically swatch them first to get rid of the excess. I think I heard someone say that. If you try it, let me know how it goes!

A lot of indie brands tend to have more of a sparkly textured shimmer

Hi Ruth a second coat of your normal eye primer just before the shimmers will help a good bit to keep them on the eye. Applying to the lid only will be less textured and there isn't as much friction there to make them fall down the face. Using a thinner amount is also helpful if they look chunky. I'm 52 with older eyes and hooded lids. I have crepiness and texture so I can't apply sparkly shades densely and make them look like they do on young eyes. They're never going to look that smooth on me, so I adjust my application to suit the skin I'm working with. I wear shimmer but in a targeted way. It's like all makeup in that my application has changed as my skin has changed. I hope that helps x

I waa really shocked by how good the Beauty Bay formula is, considering the price. I have 3 of their palettes now. ❤

Try tapping the junky shades for an ethereal look vs a full color look. That’s what I do when they are so textured on my eyes

Those are all great shades! Easy to use with other palettes and they work really well together! Great choices! I am doing a version of Pan Those Eyeshadows in my Beauty A-Z where I am using all of my singles. Because my singles are very neglected too! Just small usage goals though.

Great choices of colours, very beautiful shades and the look perfect together. You got some difficult palettes/brands to pan, but you'll do great 😊. I am not doing pan those eyeshadows, but I was inspired by all you lovely great panners and I did set some goals to finish products for the first time this year (starting small, with just one project, and just tracking it for myself). In there I want to finish 4 pans of eyeshadow which already have a lot of usage, it feels like a big goal for me 😂

Hi Ruth I think you chose shades that will work well together. I'm not an eyeshadow panner but I did hit a couple of pans last year just because I used the shades a fair bit organically. I've never hit pan on a JP, but they are large pans (although the shimmers might not be too bad). I hope you enjoy your new shades for the beginning of the year. Best wishes x

The Nomad shimmer shouldn't be so bad. It will take some uses but I hit pan in multiple of that brand's shimmers.
