One is calld in German Drehleier, the second one, played with a bow is a Nyckelharpa.
And I think, I felt the same like you, when I heard this song the first time.
    Have a look at Faun.
    They are wonderful!

I have been listening to Faun for a while now, discovered them during the Lockdowns. I've never seen them make such a dark video, but they are sending a very heavy message, I actually cry when I here the song. Like the song reflects the dark times we are living in, Man walking blind, lost touch with Mother Earth and eath other. Heilung is another band you should check out, very powerful music, will shake your very soul, send you on a vision quest. I found Heilung during the Lockdowns, gave me the strength to carry on. Check out Traust first, it's more mellow, helps break you in. The lead vocalist is guy and a beautiful Lady, the lead singer from Euzen. Euzen has has good tunes as well, check out The Great Escape, and Phobia.

the old music of Faun was more or less like this. Then they were at Universal and got "forced" to make more pop-folk. Now they're independent again. Old style. Love it!

when you get a chance read about "Odin" and how he gave his eye for wisdom.

@@nickzabrocki2477 And Loki accused Odin of performing women's magic. Hence we see a woman here, half blinded like Odin. For me this is a positive song. She gains what she seeks, at a cost she is willing to pay.

Faun makes beautiful music. Medieval folk. Wikipedia usually provides all information you need.
    Walpurgisnacht
    Federkleid
    Hörst du die Trommeln
    Etc.
Also have a look at Nytt land; a band from Siberia.
U-gra has wonderful female throat singing.
    Ritual.

But the best from Faun is the old stuff. For example the Albun Renaissance, this is very good.

Oliver is playing the nykelharpa which translates as harp fiddle. Stephen is playing the hurdy gurdy and Adaya is playing the bagpipes.

Hello from germany! Galdra means witches, magic and it comes from the iceladic language! It's a sorcerer with a certain spell! It comes from Norse mythology! I like your reaktion!👍

There seems to be some kind of revival, or even first time real interest in northern europe old music with groups like Faun, Wardruna and Heilung. The guest-singer is Linda-Fay Hella and she has an immense powerful voice. In 'Tilarids" she actually has to take a few steps back from the microphone and still blows everyone away. th-cam.com/video/YCDhYSqzQsA/w-d-xo.html Have fun

Your DNA and your spirit are calling to you. You feel a sense of security a sense of familiarity perhaps. This is human nature, true human nature. they live the music they make because for them its life. That is why its so believeable.

If you felt entranced by this one, may I suggest you might also like Heilung, they have quite a few Viking type songs using mostly percussion instruments, but close your eyes and you can picture an earlier time. Their song Traust (sp?) is fairly engaging, or you might prefer Kregsgaldr. Enjoy

This band channels the old days like no other, they call the spirits in you to come home. Heilung, I think, is already there.

The only "strange" instrument That I know there is the hurdy gurdy...its like when you re closing the cars window in 90s or when you are fishing in the lake...ok everybody knows which one I m talking abou'..😅😅
