Fun fact: a lot of people thinks that Hades is the Greek god of death. Actually, he’s only the Greek god of the Underworld. That means that he only rules the Underworld. However, the one responsible for taking the souls of the dead to the Underworld is Thanatos, the boatman of the Underworld and the true Greek god of death. I love games that remember about the Greek mythology with this much detail. Even Palutena, which is a fictional goddess, was based on a goddess of the Greek mythology. In this case, Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom

There's an intensity gate close to the entrance, it can only be opened at intensity 9.0. It's also a faster route to the end of the level

Those are Komaytos. They just LOOK like Metroids. Look closely; they have tendrils, not teeth/mandibles/whatever those bony spikes are that jut from the underside of a Metroid.
