For me I can often cast further with a lighter strength side cast than a full strength overhead cast. Experiment with to see if it is true for you too! Nice video. 👍🏼

Thanks! Hmm at my stage, overhead can go further than side cast to me though, but this could just be because my side cast is not as good as overhead casting.
I just really found that Zillion is such really trouble-less baitcaster and I love using it for sure.

Would this reel stand a beating from a decent size fish? Lets say a 7kg saltwater species? Or the bigger Zillion TW HD is better? Thanks!

Hi! If you are targeting more for larger species ZILLION TW HD is absolutely better.
Actually most of the parts are the same for both but TW HD has more line capacity than SV TW.
Also, if you use heavier and/or bigger lures for bigger fish TW HD is slightly usable more than SV TW.

@@jpfishingtacklenews195 Thanks for that. Do you think I can spool 200 meters of PE 1 on that reel?

@@domsnzadventure6734 Sure you can, ZILLION TW HD can have PE1.5-200m.
So, I would recommend to use 1.5 instead of 1, as the nallower line can get inside when the line is pulled harder with fighting, and thinner line can get tangled harder in backlash.
Moreover that's not a good option to use less than 10g lures with baitcaster, so basically thinner line's merrit does not work well with baitcaster.

@@jpfishingtacklenews195 How about for the Zillion SV TW? Is PE 1 alright or PE 1.5 is the lowest I can go?

Excellent reel, but i prefer Shimano in casting. But among spinning reels Daiwa are the best.

Hi, yeah that really depends. I would prefer DAIWA for bait casting because it is easier to adjust the brake when needed, you don't even need to open the hatch cover, and SHIMANO's SVS Infinity, you will have to take off the hatch cover completely and that could be fallen away.
But again it really depends on what you like.

@@jpfishingtacklenews195 oh, yes! I've already dived few times for the metanium's hatch cover))).

Haha yeah I've actually done that too... Antares has escape hatch so it won't be dropped but lower models does not have one, which I am really wishing SHIMANO changing to connected cover in future models.

    • @jpfishingtacklenews195

Yes it is, regarding to DAIWA official.
I use this for saltwater mainly and works well so far.
