- A variety of public transport (PT) systems have been developed and used globally to meet urban travel demand. These range from the metro, Light Rail Transit (LRT), suburban rail, tram, trolley bus, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) to three- or four-wheelers such as rickshaws and taxis.
