27 years old, got my CDL not too long ago, finally making big boi money, and Nissan announces the new Z, the next generation of my favorite car all around. It’s like they knew! I’m gonna buy one new and I’m never going to sell it… at least until the Nismo version drops. Then I’m gonna trade it in for that and never sell it lol. By the time I’m too old to drive it might even appreciate a bit, since it could be one of the last manual, rwd, internal combustion cars out there for less than the cost of a Porsche or Lotus.

Just earlier this year I had his debit card and saw north of 50K in his account. With over a quarter of the year still left to go. This is his first year over the road trucking too, with loads of debt just now being paid off. If u don’t mind driving all day everyday then you’ll be happy with the money

Y’all don’t need my whole life story but suffice it to say I’m living like a king on bottom of the barrel, entry level trucker wages. I can already save up for the new Z, which for me is a literal dream car. I’ve literally had dreams about driving one lol. And knowing that with some work and effort I could be making double, even triple what I do now, even within my current entry level company, makes every day feel less like work and more like self fulfillment. To be specific, right now I’m making about 33-35k after taxes, but I’ve met people working for 5-6 years within my company who make a tad bit over the 100k mark doing the exact same thing I’m doing. I’ve only been doing it a few months now, but in relatively short time I’ll be making retirement money. Especially for someone with no wife and no kids, and who prioritizes cars over housing lol.

I love everything about my 370z - the only thing I dislike are the high oil temps and some more bottom end tq is needed; Otherwise, it's enough for public roads, and besides, even if more power arrives, I'm still stuck behind your typical Subaru Outback driver that goes 10-20mph slower around turns than what's reasonably necessary even in perfect conditions (camber/visibility/weather/temps/traffic density); They are in essence the most risk adverse drivers on the roads, yes, worse than your garden variety Prius drivers. Really, what elon musk should invest in would be a company to teach Subaru Outback drivers on how to react to, plan for, and mitigate understeer in order to simply just drive with the flow of traffic, and GASP god forbid: Have FUN around some turns while staying in the same lane and not breaking any traffic laws. That would be a miracle.
I'd like to second that sentiment, but also add that stu-tu-tu sounds are tight too. I like the z's lights but the mustangs lights seem more cohesive. I'll still have to see a z in person. Also idk nissan v Ford, but naturally aspirated might be more reliable than twin turbo.
I would try to hold out another two or three years. Mustangs change in a meaningful way every 3 to 5 years. They did the last facelift in 2018. So chances are they will be making a major change to the 2023 or 2024 design of the petrol version of the car. The mach e is technically a mustang but I think they will still bring in a new petroleum ran mustang redesign very soon.
Got my 2020 civic si for sticker. Full bolt on plus more. It pains me seeing them stock, those poor drivers have no idea what they are missing out on. Tbh wouldn’t buy it and keep it stock but with the right mods, car comes alive and is very unique to me.
Definitely sticking to my guns about the new Z. And when the Nismo drops? I might have to trade in for it. I might be a little off because I did like the Z33 Nismo but for some reason I just couldn't get jiggy with the Z34 Nismo.
I'm in my mid 30s married with an 8yr old and a girl on the way. The family life did have some effect on my car purchases through the years. I traded off my 1990 240sx for a family car and the bro tax kill my dreams of ever getting another 1. But there is still hope for me I would love to own the new nissan z someday. But for now I'm happy with my mk3 jetta that I some day want to vr swap.
Not to mention new tuner cars are a pain in the ass to modify in general. Mostly thinking of like audio systems and such because of how the radio/climate/setting head unit is like, super vital. Can't just slap a pioneer and swap out speakers without having to tear a bunch of stuff out and end up with trim pieces that don't fit together as they did.
Only new tuner cars I would want are the hatchback S3 (can't get in the states) and BRZ/GR86 I would have bought it but my car was totalled in June, so I bought my GTI. I can't trade it for the the BRZ/GR86 because even tho it's FWD, it has more potential and is more practical.
I also got a GTI this year. I was thinking about an 86 but all the problem people are having the engine and the very low ceiling for tuning really turned me off.

It's hard to argue with the GTI's ability to get ~300hp and 350+tq with a simple intake and tune! The BRZ won't be able to match that but I'm sure it's going to be a FUN car to drive.
I’m keeping my G to turbo by the end of 2022 and getting the new Z to daily. Might even buy an old Corolla while I’m at it so I don’t rack up too many miles on the Z too quickly
This video makes me sad thinking about Mitsubishi. It used to be "Subaru" before Subaru. All the dudes who rolled up in a built Eclipse GSX destroying the V8s at the street races were godlike. And there was the 3000GT which looked cool af even though it was a tank. And when they released the EVO 8, it made 4 door sedan's keep up with 2door exotic sports cars real. And now today, all they got is 4 f*cking crossovers and 2 econo sh*tboxes.
Not exactly new, but far newer than anything I'd had before, I picked up a lightly modified 2015 M235i last month and it feels every bit as cool as my Bugeye WRX did. Sure, it's my first automatic but who cares when the ZF8 shifts so quickly? Having something with modern safety gear, modern adaptive headlights and modern creature comforts for the same price I could find a kinda clean Chaser making similar power is awesome. Doesn't hurt that I can do all that while getting 22mpg average with my not-exactly-efficient driving. I've been converted, modern cars are awesome and we live in a new golden age of the automobile, maybe its last hurrah as we know it before a new age entirely.
The Z is more a heavy refresh then full redesign deff in the same catagory as the Supra and the engines been around since 2016 and the manual even longer. Even the automatic is of Mercedes design and has been a few years, honestly the biggest concern I'd have is with the interior electronics.
i just want nissan to share the new z platform with mitsubishi, and not have it be like the new outlander where they just put a slightly different body on a rogue. at least offer it in a less powerful, less expensive fwd model. an awd version could be the return of the eclipse gsx. a rear wheel drive model could be the return of the starion (which honestly doesnt get the same recognition)
Kinda glad I got my tuner car (1991 Toyota Soarer 1JZ-GTE) back in 2016 for 6k. Those prices are a thing of the past now, everything is crazy expensive to get into.
The new z is literally my motivation/trophy to getting my business started so I can afford it in the near future. I ain’t gonna get a lone or anything. It’s gonna be more so a reward for myself if I can afford to pay for it with 6 months of revenue. Although the depreciation and future usability as electric cars become the norm make me question whether or not I should make the purchase or be boring 😂
Exactly I got my 05 ion redline supercharged stage 2 305hp manual trans Recaros front and rear mint condition not a scratch 2500 bucks from a older guy who retired at saturn and they gave this to him for retiring and I beat mustang 5.0s all the time as I only weigh 2600 pounds looks are decent very comfortable reliable and satisfying horrible exhaust note but 2500 bucks srt4's and RSX type S and ep3 Si last gen sentra SER spec v are in this category minus horrible interior lol.

I always watched your guys video and listen to what you guys said when you guys talked about first mods and this and You know I always wanted to get wheels from you guys when I got a car well the time had came and I got my self wheels from you guys super happy thought I made a good choice then I got an email that they messed up my size and they where not going to make more which how does that work I payed for my wheels but I shrug it off and said things happen but when you guys tried to help with wheels and idea you guys kept sending me someone else size and bolt pattern and the suggestions where ugly so I did it my self on what I wanted so I found what I wanted sent the picture got the wheels and tire packages, ceramic coating and air sensors and lug nuts was happy for what I got and did then you guys send me an email today saying you guys didn’t send an email to get my wheels now it back ordered super disappointed feel let down and regret what I have done will never think of using you guys ever again always wanted to shop with you guys I did and got let down thanks for the disappoint and will work on the process of getting my money back so unfair after all the thing you guys say and keep plugging yourself in the videos can’t even back it up but thanks for absolutely nothing and wasting a lot of my time. 100 percent do not recommend unless you guys want to get disappointed.
Thankfully there are rules in place to stop bad decisions like this (have to be at least 59 1/2, use it for a home down payment, or have an expense that qualifies as a 'hardship' to get that money out at age 23).
As a member of the "Get out of jail free" club, I can affirm that if you're not trying to drop a lot of bones, the ATS4 preferably in a coupe, but even with a dreaded B pillar provides 80% of the action and fun of an ATSV with all year round performance and 51/49 weight distro. It does this at half the price. If you can find a low miles example, with a little debadging and bolt-ons, you're all set.

I've owned everything from a s13 to Jzx90 to R32 and finally picked up a 2019 Type R. Easily the most capable car I have owned. Never thought I would own a newer car but totally worth it and makes for a new modding experience

I think they only put the new Z in the “I hope this works” category because it hasn’t been released to the public yet, but if u want a good depiction of what the car should be just watch Noir.Tm (I think I messed his name up) build his 370 with a VR30 in it. But 2023 Z is coming from factory like that so less hiccups during ownership
Every none turbo cars will be a little more reliable than turbo cars and is cause there is more parts that can fail. Now for these 2 cars, the A90 supra is a best, super reliable, good on gas, friendly tuner even if ecu is lock on some years and basic mechanical knowledge needed to work on them. I own one and I love how good this car is.
The brz and the rehash are at the bottom of the monetary totem pole. But I am super grateful they exist the turbo civic si as well. They kept us happy until we got some real big bangers. Thank you Toyota Honda and Subaru (and Mazda for the miata...)
I'd love to invest into either the new Supra or Z but damnit they don't have a backseat and that's a killer for me. I have a 2013 genesis couple 3.8 and my kids absolutely love riding in it and having fun. So any sports car I get next has to have a back seat. Make versions with backseats!!!

The new Z have the same chassis and similar interior as the 370z. So I would put the new Z in the first category.
I love everything about my 370z - the only thing I dislike are the high oil temps and some more bottom end tq is needed; Otherwise, it's enough for public roads, and besides, even if more power arrives, I'm still stuck behind your typical Subaru Outback driver that goes 10-20mph slower around turns than what's reasonably necessary even in perfect conditions (camber/visibility/weather/temps/traffic density); They are in essence the most risk adverse drivers on the roads, yes, worse than your garden variety Prius drivers. Really, what elon musk should invest in would be a company to teach Subaru Outback drivers on how to react to, plan for, and mitigate understeer in order to simply just drive with the flow of traffic, and GASP god forbid: Have FUN around some turns while staying in the same lane and not breaking any traffic laws. That would be a miracle.
Heavily revised chassis and relatively new drive train, second category honestly as its not a true redesign but a heavy refresh.

I’m following my heart and going for a Mustang GT. I love V8s and I’m in love with the body style.
I'd like to second that sentiment, but also add that stu-tu-tu sounds are tight too. I like the z's lights but the mustangs lights seem more cohesive. I'll still have to see a z in person. Also idk nissan v Ford, but naturally aspirated might be more reliable than twin turbo.
I would try to hold out another two or three years. Mustangs change in a meaningful way every 3 to 5 years. They did the last facelift in 2018. So chances are they will be making a major change to the 2023 or 2024 design of the petrol version of the car. The mach e is technically a mustang but I think they will still bring in a new petroleum ran mustang redesign very soon.

Got my 2020 civic si for sticker. Full bolt on plus more. It pains me seeing them stock, those poor drivers have no idea what they are missing out on. Tbh wouldn’t buy it and keep it stock but with the right mods, car comes alive and is very unique to me.

I'm in my mid 30s married with an 8yr old and a girl on the way. The family life did have some effect on my car purchases through the years. I traded off my 1990 240sx for a family car and the bro tax kill my dreams of ever getting another 1. But there is still hope for me I would love to own the new nissan z someday. But for now I'm happy with my mk3 jetta that I some day want to vr swap.
Not to mention new tuner cars are a pain in the ass to modify in general. Mostly thinking of like audio systems and such because of how the radio/climate/setting head unit is like, super vital. Can't just slap a pioneer and swap out speakers without having to tear a bunch of stuff out and end up with trim pieces that don't fit together as they did.
Only new tuner cars I would want are the hatchback S3 (can't get in the states) and BRZ/GR86 I would have bought it but my car was totalled in June, so I bought my GTI. I can't trade it for the the BRZ/GR86 because even tho it's FWD, it has more potential and is more practical.
I also got a GTI this year. I was thinking about an 86 but all the problem people are having the engine and the very low ceiling for tuning really turned me off.
@@thisfool89 nice what year? The new BRZ/GR86 should be miles ahead of the old one and it's about as fast as the GTI. It's hard to argue with the GTI's ability to get ~300hp and 350+tq with a simple intake and tune! The BRZ won't be able to match that but I'm sure it's going to be a FUN car to drive.

This video makes me sad thinking about Mitsubishi. It used to be "Subaru" before Subaru. All the dudes who rolled up in a built Eclipse GSX destroying the V8s at the street races were godlike. And there was the 3000GT which looked cool af even though it was a tank. And when they released the EVO 8, it made 4 door sedan's keep up with 2door exotic sports cars real. And now today, all they got is 4 f*cking crossovers and 2 econo sh*tboxes.

Not exactly new, but far newer than anything I'd had before, I picked up a lightly modified 2015 M235i last month and it feels every bit as cool as my Bugeye WRX did. Sure, it's my first automatic but who cares when the ZF8 shifts so quickly? Having something with modern safety gear, modern adaptive headlights and modern creature comforts for the same price I could find a kinda clean Chaser making similar power is awesome. Doesn't hurt that I can do all that while getting 22mpg average with my not-exactly-efficient driving. I've been converted, modern cars are awesome and we live in a new golden age of the automobile, maybe its last hurrah as we know it before a new age entirely.
The Z is more a heavy refresh then full redesign deff in the same catagory as the Supra and the engines been around since 2016 and the manual even longer.
Even the automatic is of Mercedes design and has been a few years, honestly the biggest concern I'd have is with the interior electronics.
i just want nissan to share the new z platform with mitsubishi, and not have it be like the new outlander where they just put a slightly different body on a rogue. at least offer it in a less powerful, less expensive fwd model. an awd version could be the return of the eclipse gsx. a rear wheel drive model could be the return of the starion (which honestly doesnt get the same recognition)
Kinda glad I got my tuner car (1991 Toyota Soarer 1JZ-GTE) back in 2016 for 6k. Those prices are a thing of the past now, everything is crazy expensive to get into.
Just saw the new Z in person in LA a week back and it looks way better in person than in photos and videos.
The new z is literally my motivation/trophy to getting my business started so I can afford it in the near future. I ain’t gonna get a lone or anything. It’s gonna be more so a reward for myself if I can afford to pay for it with 6 months of revenue. Although the depreciation and future usability as electric cars become the norm make me question whether or not I should make the purchase or be boring 😂

Exactly I got my 05 ion redline supercharged stage 2 305hp manual trans Recaros front and rear mint condition not a scratch 2500 bucks from a older guy who retired at saturn and they gave this to him for retiring and I beat mustang 5.0s all the time as I only weigh 2600 pounds looks are decent very comfortable reliable and satisfying horrible exhaust note but 2500 bucks srt4's and RSX type S and ep3 Si last gen sentra SER spec v are in this category minus horrible interior lol.

I always watched your guys video and listen to what you guys said when you guys talked about first mods and this and You know I always wanted to get wheels from you guys when I got a car well the time had came and I got my self wheels from you guys super happy thought I made a good choice then I got an email that they messed up my size and they where not going to make more which how does that work I payed for my wheels but I shrug it off and said things happen but when you guys tried to help with wheels and idea you guys kept sending me someone else size and bolt pattern and the suggestions where ugly so I did it my self on what I wanted so I found what I wanted sent the picture got the wheels and tire packages, ceramic coating and air sensors and lug nuts was happy for what I got and did then you guys send me an email today saying you guys didn’t send an email to get my wheels now it back ordered super disappointed feel let down and regret what I have done will never think of using you guys ever again always wanted to shop with you guys I did and got let down thanks for the disappoint and will work on the process of getting my money back so unfair after all the thing you guys say and keep plugging yourself in the videos can’t even back it up but thanks for absolutely nothing and wasting a lot of my time. 100 percent do not recommend unless you guys want to get disappointed.

Thankfully there are rules in place to stop bad decisions like this (have to be at least 59 1/2, use it for a home down payment, or have an expense that qualifies as a 'hardship' to get that money out at age 23).

As a member of the "Get out of jail free" club, I can affirm that if you're not trying to drop a lot of bones, the ATS4 preferably in a coupe, but even with a dreaded B pillar provides 80% of the action and fun of an ATSV with all year round performance and 51/49 weight distro. It does this at half the price. If you can find a low miles example, with a little debadging and bolt-ons, you're all set.

So… are the Toyota GR 86 & Supra the most reliable out all the cars mentioned??? I have a 2019 STI Stage 1+ that I absolutely love but I would only trade it for something reliable but fun & something that I can tune.
I think they only put the new Z in the “I hope this works” category because it hasn’t been released to the public yet, but if u want a good depiction of what the car should be just watch Noir.Tm (I think I messed his name up) build his 370 with a VR30 in it. But 2023 Z is coming from factory like that so less hiccups during ownership
Every none turbo cars will be a little more reliable than turbo cars and is cause there is more parts that can fail. Now for these 2 cars, the A90 supra is a best, super reliable, good on gas, friendly tuner even if ecu is lock on some years and basic mechanical knowledge needed to work on them. I own one and I love how good this car is.
The brz and the rehash are at the bottom of the monetary totem pole. But I am super grateful they exist the turbo civic si as well. They kept us happy until we got some real big bangers. Thank you Toyota Honda and Subaru (and Mazda for the miata...)

I'd love to invest into either the new Supra or Z but damnit they don't have a backseat and that's a killer for me. I have a 2013 genesis couple 3.8 and my kids absolutely love riding in it and having fun. So any sports car I get next has to have a back seat. Make versions with backseats!!!
