Meme Police like skylines, you can get them relatively cheap. Usually they come with a couple mods, but for the “brand new” ones then yes you’re in the $20k-$30k ball park. Especially in Japan these cars are fairly common.
I’ve bought an MA70 a couple months ago which was sitting for 10 years and now I’m rebuilding it and trying to give it a new life. I absolutely love your videos, keep up the good work guys!
Just picked up my MKIV earlier this year at age 23. It can be done, all just depends on your priorities. Although, the market on them is climbing at quite a ridiculous rate, I will admit. I definitely count myself lucky to have been able to get my dream car at such a young age!
I'm a mk3 owner and it saddens me that they dont get the love they deserve :( same goes for mk2 and mk1 models. But you are correct they do have a great platform. Like you can either build the 7mgte or swap in a 1jz (plug and play) or a 2jz with minor tweaks here and there.
What people don't realize is that a Supra is also an amazing daily driver. Great moderate horsepower from factory, great handling , simple modifications or stock you get Toyota reliability.
My Dad had an A60 (second gen) Supra. And it’s honestly my favourite Supra, I love the 80s style. Obviously the power train isn’t up to today’s standards, but who cares? I’d own one in a heartbeat.
I love my JDM MK3 Supra so much. I own the really weird one with the twin turbo 1GGTE engine. Despite the fact that it's slow and a MK3 it steals the show at every car meet and everyone I let drive the car loved it. Don't let the looks discourage you, MK3s will put a smile on your face when you get behind the wheel especially the 1JZ model.
My late friend had a red second gen in high school. He kept it until the day he died. Last I saw it, it was rotting away in his parents' front yard. Breaks my heart every time i see a second gen supra, or think of Tony's supra in general. R.I.P.
Yes yes yes yes yes... we finally got it boys, a “So You Want” episode with a Supra. As a proud owner of an A70 Supra, I can say that we don’t really have any widebody kits available, so I have a pretty stock looking body sitting at the stock ride height on some XXR rims with stretch tires. I can’t complain though because it’s such a good looking car that came straight out of the factory, just like the other the generations (including the A90). Although, I’ve been thinking about bagging my Supra since I already have stretch tires on some nice XXRs and I might add it to the gallery.
I can remember my dad having an A80 Supra just over 10 years ago. One of the best cars I rode shotgun in, period. Yes, it's an NA auto, but 9-year old me absolutely adored it. Its still one of my all time favourites for the sedimental value alone and I'd love to have my own to modify... Even if it is an auto, because BMW auto DSG swaps are a thing. You're welcome.
Personally I’ve always been in love with the MK3! 80’s cars have some of the cleanest body lines. The 7m is trash, but everything else about it is great!
The seats at the 4:07 mark...I had a set of those in my 1963 Bug back in 1986...I haven't seen a set since then. They were even that color and had that lumbar support squeeze bulb. Too cool...great memories...

1234abcd12344 i agree. Also i feel like some of the prices are way too high when you consider that fact that it’s not the only factory JZ powered vehicle.
1234abcd12344 lol most cars aren’t “chick magnets” unless it’s a Ferrari or Lamborghini. Unless the girl is genuinely in to cars, obviously you’ll have more guys asking about your car. Most only know of the overly expensive bought not built cars, which simply means you have money to spend.

I recently sold my 1993 Toyota Supra bone stock 2jzgte with the exception of basic mods. Exhaust, knock off HRE wheels and HKS air filters. 196k miles. (Automatic) for $25k cash. But didn't realize that 25k I not even enough money to buy a manual 2jzgte supra. Should I buy the 1980s Mk3?
